This location is located at the Garden Grove promenade on Chapman. The store is a good size, but I noticed this location is a bit cluttered. I'm not sure if it's due to the holiday season, but there were items all over the place. They have a ton of holiday items, books, games, toys, clothes, skin care, home decor. I love their candy selection. They have the big gummy bags. Similar items to their other locations. The value is pretty good depending on what you get. It's "Five Below" but they have items that are higher priced. I only spot one worker most times I'm there so I'm glad they have self check out. read more

Went here for some candies since heard that they have different then regular stores and they do, just some but not much compared to their other store that is bigger in size. They do have varies sections from clothing wear, to kitchenware, to candies, to toys, to chips, to seasons decors and others. This place got everything and the value is reasonable but the quality can be not that great...depending on the items. But worth it. Staff are everywhere and very helpful and friendly. If I could give this place a zero I would. The white old lady working the register was very rude. Don't display the balloons and have the price on it like it was for sale. Why don't they have signs up saying the balloons are not for sale only display for looks?? But to scream across the room at me like I stole something was very rude. Fun store and great gift ideas! Be aware of the prices though! Some items are worth 5 bucks! And some things really aren't worth it. Lol. Be a smart shopper because if you were like me, you keep picking out a bunch of items and it adds up quickly! You can get graphic tees for $5.55! Some looks pretty retro and fun. And those Funko Pops are available too for all you collectors. Tons of chocolates and candies for those with a sweet tooth. For you make up artistes, there are quite a few items in the beauty aisle. Went here to shop on Saturday March 8th. My 5 year old kid needed to use the bathroom and the male employee there was very mean and refused to let her use it. He said this was the store policy and it was just his job he didn't make the rules. Meanwhile the 5 Below near our house in Lake Forest is very welcoming and and always let customers use their bathroom all the time so apparently this is not 5 Below policy. This location just has very bad customer service. read more

Wow, I walked into five below and expected nothing but meeting this dog made the whole trip worth it! There is a discount aisle in the back of the store that is usually 50% off certain items which is good to check out once in a while. There were some pretty cool shelves for 50% off so they're not lame things! read more

This Five Below is pretty legit! The variety of stuff they have is amazing. Whether it's home decor, clothing, snacks, books, or small furniture. There is so much here! When we went to Five Below last week, we picked up a few things. I wanted to try a new energy drink so I finally tried the Alani drink. Pretty good, it's not crazy sweet like all of the other energy drinks out there. Some things here are a bit overpriced. More so the snack stuff. All of the candy is truly a bit overpriced but sometimes it's worth it. Especially when they have new or stuff you haven't seen before. The service is pretty good here. One thing that's pretty annoying that they do here at Five Below is they have all self serve cash registers. Sometimes the workers will greet you and even scan your items for you how a cashier normally would. But the way it's set up is just weird and awkward. It's set up for self checkout, yet they'll help and bag your stuff 75% of the time. read more

Apparently five below doesn't support the bigger community! I wear a 5 XL shirt and they do not carry anything bigger than a 3XL. I found this really cute Disney t shirt of the animal stitch and yet I could buy it because it's just way too small! When I bring this up to the manager (who looks like he is 12) he tells me that he just works there and has no input of what they carry. What kind of service is that and how am I supposed to feel when the manager doesn't care enough about how his store functions. I will be reaching out to corporate with a suggestion that the bigger community are people and like nice clothing. read more

Rude worker left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll not be shopping here ever again. I was looking at some of the blind packs. I decided on one and was walking to the front to pay. As I was walking out I noticed the pack had been slightly ripped. An employee, I'm assuming the sup/manager stopped and death glared at me and said I couldn't open those. Great price for the item that are sold in regular departments stores. Mostly everything are $5 and Below. The customer service are very kind and helpful. Also, there are some items that are exclusively from Five Below. For example, the Blue's Blues Handy Dandy Notebook is a dry eraser which somewhat can be similar to the show, rather than the electronic version which sold in the department stores. I went to Walmart looking for the Blue's Clues Mystery blind pack and the ey all sold out and I sent to Five Below and they have all the blind pack available. Need better customer service skills. Perhaps training the workers here to be more friendly. I guess you can't teach kindness, but the employees here are not friendly at all. We patiently waited for the store to open. No problem. We kindly even waited for them to bring out all the items out front without bothering them. They see us standing waiting outside, and they say no words whatsoever. No good morning" It's usually courtesy to say, "The store will be open in a few minutes and we'll be right with you thank you" Something simple like that speaks volumes and it shows you care You walk in and no salutation like they always do at every five below stores "WELCOME TO FIVE BELOW!" You can tell they're young or the older female doesn't like her job. She just had a stern look on her face on a Sunday morning and didn't smile at all. She opened the door to bring something out and a couple of people tried to walk in and stopped them and said "A COUPLE MORE MINUTES!" and shut the door in them lol Same older big lady said nothing to us when we were leaving. No, "thank you for coming have a wonderful day" we were the one that had to say thank you to her when she passed right by our face while she looked down at her phone. They looked tired or exhausted too early in the morning to work as if they've been partying the night before. Grab some caffeine to wake your body up ladies. Man oh man, the store is a complete mess. Today as I waited in line there was a worker who had PURPLE hair. She had completely abandoned her register and I saw children scanning (3-5 age range) scanning products and it looked also like they werent scanning all of them. I KNOW that this is common at 5 and below for associates to have a family member or someone they know come in and steal stuff or process fake return reciepts. That's definitley going on here. I used to come in here all the time. But the employees started to know that I'm a regular and would look at me like I'm a freak show. I work at a children's hospital and five below toys and plushies are my go to. I didn't tell them that I work there I don't need to disclose that. But it's does hurt, that they look at me like I'm so weird. So glad I finally dropped by today! Five Below joins the family of discount stores, alongside 99 Cents/Dollar Tree (albeit slightly cleaner with more variety) and Daiso (but obviously American). I just wanted a sample for the time being and put some items back (included a super cute cat magnet). In the end, I chose 3 items to buy: 1. Candy (10 pieces for $1); they provide nice baggies to keep it all together. Displays were very enticing, so I couldn't help but hunt for my fav candies and flavors 2. A narrow pink Y-weave plastic storage tray ($1) 3. Wild Berry incense! (4 sticks for $1); they have a variety of scents to choose from. Burning one stick atm and it's pretty darn pungent (in a good way!). Some things that caught my eye were $5 posters and T-shirts as well as a bunch of artsy crafty kits and phone accessories. When it came to checkout, it was pretty much all do-it-yourself/self-checkout. An associate was nearby to attend to anyone's questions. A customer nearby me wanted to pay with cash and had to go to another designated kiosk, I believe. Since 2 of my items didn't have a bar code, I was so glad to see them as separate buttons on the screen. Just had to input the quantity I had, super simple. They have the option for printed and/or digital receipts (I chose digital) and the worker told me plastic bags are free of charge. I didn't need any, though. Overall, can't wait to pay a visit again and see what interesting finds I leave with. This is def an ideal store for kids' gifts and stocking stuffers. ^_^ read more
