The last time I shopped at Dollar Tree was a few years ago, and a lot seems to have changed since then. Not everything at this location actually costs $1. While some shelves have signs showing higher prices, many items are not individually labeled, which led me to assume they were still $1. I didn't realize until after I checked out and received my receipt that every single item I purchased was more than $1 (most were $1.25 or $1.50). That may not seem like much, but if you're shopping at a dollar store, you're likely on a tight budget (as I was). Clear pricing on shelves and/or individual items would really help prevent people from overshooting their budgets, especially those who don't shop here regularly. They also sell items priced at $5 or $7, but given the overall Dollar Tree-level quality, those items don't really seem worth the price. As most Dollar Tree locations, the store appears very chaotic and messy, and the cashiers appear overworked and underpaid. This particular location was noticeably more rundown than other locations I've visited. I'd give this place 2.5 stars if I could, just because it wasn't completely terrible. I was able to find most of the things I had written down on my shopping list. The checkout line moved at a pretty good pace, and they even opened up a second line when there were too many people in the first line. read more

The store manager is rude and confrontational all bc I asked to use the restroom. She was banging on the door claiming others needed to use the restroom. Then she started following me around the store with her phone either taking pictures or video taping me w/out consent. After asker her not to she called the police on me was threatening me asking me to leave the store. His efficiency and positive attitude made a stressful moment easy, and I was in and out faster than I expected. I go to Dollar Tree for my kids school projects: poster boards, markers, that type of stuff, and can't forget birthdays! This is my go to place for colorful disposable table cloths, forks, gift bags, and more. I came to this location on Valentines Day, and I was already expecting a long line due to it being a huge holiday but to my surprise the line was moving rather quickly. The gentleman at the cashier register, if I remember correctly his name starts with Z, was polite and overall had a very positive vibe, he is definitely one of the fastest and nicest cashiers I have encountered. This location is not the closest to my place but I won't mind the drive if I get the same cashier next time. I recommend this location. read more

I LOVE Dollar Tree and I've never had a issue with any location. It's extremely convenient to my house and my job as well as the other shops I frequent. Some are very understaffed and many shelves were empty, other times you find a good / reasonable things I can use around the house. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Walked into the store with about 20 minutes before closing time (they close at 9), came in looking for graduation balloons the guy blowing up balloons said he wasn't blowing up anymore that he was only helping out the two customers he had waiting. I understood and said "ok don't worry,thank you" I then look up and see a few perfectly blown up balloons with no string,I asked him if I could buy at least one and he said " if you can reach it take it" and proceeded to laugh. I'm about 5'3 the guy was definitely taller than I was a good sales person would've said "let me finish up and I'll see how I can help you" anything to sell their stuff right?! Yet he didn't he proceeded to laugh. I then look around and ask a different employee who was "picking up the store" if she knew if they sold anything or if they had anything that could grab the balloons that don't have string, first, she didn't hear me because she had an AirPod in and rudely said "what" so I repeated myself and again she rudely said "you have to ask him" (meaning the guy blowing up balloons) I kindly told her that I already spoke with him and that he wasn't able to help me. She asked me to show her which balloon I wanted so I pointed and told her that one and she cut me off and said "which one there's a lot" I told her "as I was gonna say I want the graduation balloon" and she then said "oh I can't help you I have to finish cleaning up the store in 10 minutes". Mind you, when I approached this girl she was moving in the slowest pace, for someone who had to finish cleaning in 10 minutes she was NOT moving in a sense of urgency to finish in those next 10 minutes!! Unfortunately I didn't see a name tag on either employee. But it's safe to say I will NOT be going back to this location. I completely understand working in retail especially a closing shift, regardless if you had a bad day, you must always treat customers with kindness and try and help them out. There was plenty of time for one of them to help me grab a balloon, I would've understood if they approached the situation with kindness instead of being so rude about the situation. Why are the floors here so filthy? The employees are all very nice but the checkout process is always a mess. There are no clear lines, causing cashiers to come and go and pull the next customer from different places. A simple stanchion or just relocating some fixtures to create a queue would be an easy solve. read more

At night time there are alot of homeless people around this Dollar Tree. It is a bit creepy esp. when girls go shopping. There are a lot of stuff at the Dollar Tree though that you can buy. Great customer service as well! Parking on the other hand is very tight spaced and not planned out well. read more

I love Dollar Tree! We don't have dollar stores where I live, so finding a store where EVERYTHING really is a dollar was awesome! My Mom was with me and like a broken record player kept repeating "Wow it's only a dollar..." My sister-in-law who was also with us delighted in all the inexpensive gifts she was able to find along with Halloween goodies. At first I wasn't sure what to buy because I'd have to take it all back in my already full suitcase, but ended up getting two hair brushes, Halloween candy, Halloween goody bags, a birthday card, a plastic container for snacks and a hair bun donut. I spent only $12 and was completely in awe! Not only can you find really good deals on pretty much everything in the store, but the workers are really nice and super helpful! Dolla dolla bill y'all! Literally that's what it costs ya. Ok plus tax but still. Lots of goodies for a buck. If you're not picky and are easily satisfied then this spot is for you. They don't have very many name branded items but there are many reps and those are even ok to substitute. I'm not saying everything is good, legit quality, or great tasting but you can find mostly anything you need for home or yourself here. If you need a new spatula, this is your spot. The manager is super bad. I bought just 1 hour ago, I come back to exchange something else. He said no exchange or refund but the received don't say on it. I told him then he said you can call the cop or company. He is a manager store then he won't accept exchange even not on the receipt. And no one told me when I purchased also. Does anyone else care that the Dollar Tree clerk's are rude as hell when you ask to use the bathrooms? Two days in a row 2 different Dollar Trees tell a 6 year old "No bathrooms are out of order!" This store continues to disappoint. I don't know how you can refuse an exchange when I literally return 10 minutes after my purchase. I went directly to the same cashier and they pretended like they never saw me. If you do come into this store make sure you print your receipt. Why give the option to not print the receipt but not warn that you won't be able to do an exchange. My 2 packs of batteries were still unopened. There is a good reason why you search "Dollar Tree" and Garden Grove, CA and this is the 18th listing. This place has got to be one of the worst. Where does one begin the experience? The arrival I guess, Arriving here is no short of a miracle. Heaven help you get a parking in the tiny spots in front of their store and on such a busy intersection as Harbor between Garden Grove Blvd, and Trask. As you walk in you may or may not be greeted by an employee its up to them and how long their line is, I swear only two people ever work here at a time. To the immediate right is the current season stuff... Back to School, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Xmas... gift cards follow moving toward the back and a freezer to the left of that. While the freezer selection is on point stay clear of any food selections. I bought pizza toppings and fruit juice even snacks and had nothing but a lovely night in the bathroom. The juice was more like flavored sugar water that should never had been sold and un refrigerated meat... well I guess I was not the genius on that. The frozen section was the only nice spot with "manapua" and donald duck orange juice. The manager Maria is quite the treat as she will talk to anyone looking hispanic in spanish and I personally take that as a sign of disrespect. First I am currently in America and second I was born here. Now many people have this as a touchy subject, but First we are in AMERICA. So national Language is ENGLISH, talk to me that in the first place if I don't understand then I will talk to you in my native tongue. But to start the convo in Spanish I see that as a sign of you just don't care about your nation. This place is like your average dollar tree. It has cheap gift bags , toys , food , utensils, all for a dollar. You can't go wrong with that price. I love going here because they have "whales" which are goldfish imitation snacks. This place is slowly getting dirty and it has plenty of competition with 99 cents store very near by and Viva Bargain center down the street. read more

Again i value a store by their attitude and customer services. For some reason the cashiers in this store seem always nice. And I really appreciate that, because run into a store meeting a helpful and smiley cashier does make my days feel better. I do agree the parking is tricky. I came to this location because I got it mixed up with the one located in garden grove I believe in the plaza where there's a Ross and marshalls. So I came to this location and first of all it is located on a very busy street. It is a pretty small location too. The parking situation is not the best either. They parking is pretty tight so it's very hard to get in and out of. As soon as you walk into the store they have everything pretty organized, of course I've seen better locations but this wasn't too bad. They have a great selection of items but the other location had more of what I need. Of course they have the usually necessities. I did ask the lady who worked here to help me find an item and she said,"it should be located in aisle 10 and if it's not there then we don't have it" and to me....that's just lazy customer service. Not saying that she needed to walk me there or anything but if she wasn't positive if they had it or not she should've suggested something else or called another location to see if they had it. This is a very convenient location too because it's across an Asian mart, gas station, Ross, and Burlington coat factory so you could get all your errands done in one area! read more

Parking lot is big and now the store is organized, clean and employees were super nice, I could have stayed longer and bought more stuff but the store was closing at 9. Easily accessible to the 5,22,57 freeways and by main street. The store is always well stocked,fully staffed and fun to shop in. I save a ton of money by shopping here instead of Walmart or Target.I highly recommend this location due to the fact that it is never packed and convenience of shopping is so easy! read more
