Once I entered the shop, a lovely woman was working and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I learned that she is a vendor, and others are as well. One other woman that has a shop on Mound used to also be a vendor as well. She gave me a lot of information and showed me around some pieces. I found an adorable stool perfect for our kitchen. I also found a super cute plant table perfect for my hall by the front door. It matches my bench there perfectly. I was super excited. She told me that some vendors are also willing to negotiate a little on prices, depending on the items. I really loved one of the night stands and I was going to buy one, but I could not decide which would fit best. She suggested I take measurements and see which would fit better. She did not push me to make the buy. She told me to think it over night and if I were to decide to buy it, I could always call to hold it. She was super sweet and helpful. She even helped me carry my items out to the car as well. Both pieces are painted beautifully, and they even sell the paint in store. I will 100% be back very very soon!

There is an array of fun and funky items for home, garden and gift giving to the person that has everything. I fell in love with all the re-purposed dresser drawers; they were so beautiful! The two women that were overseeing the shop for the day were very informative and pleasant. They are talented artisans that re-purpose much of the furniture that you'll see in the shop. Not only are they talented and friendly but they are generous as well. The owners and the employees give back to the community by donating furniture to Turning Point, one of the top woman's abuse shelters for the Macomb county area. You can even take a class so you can learn how to paint and re-purpose your own table, dressers, etc. The owner, Denise Schultz, provides music lessons to youngsters. This store and the people that oversee it are what is considered "the salt of the earth"; please come out and support them. I come to this location to purchase poly for my furniture. They also sell amazing paint, especially Shermin Williams. They do have some paint samples that are on a rack for a cheaper price due to being mixed improperly. The people working at the paint department are always super helpful and knowledgable about the paint department. The employees at this location are always helpful when it comes to asking for guidance. They always lead you in the right direction. They even offer helpful information on how to fix things.

Let me just start by saying that I loathe shopping, always have. I've never been one to want to…read moreshop with friends or even shop by myself. It's explains why my wardrobe is nearly 20 years old. Anyways... I walked into DSW, with an expired coupon in hand, looking for the new converse they came out with. The style has a puffy tongue and a padded heal, makes the shoe a little more comfortable for the wear, or so I would assume. As I walked into the store I headed down the first isle in my direction. Note that the store was very clean and very well organized, boxes of shoes all stacked very neatly and orderly. It's was acceptable for my OCD. After passing about 3 dozen shoes, I spotted what I was looking for- in the 1st isle I walked down, nice! I grabbed my size box and a little bootie sock since I was sockless. I tried them on and it was a perfect fit, so to the cashier I headed. She quickly rang me up, as there was no one in line. She asked for my email so they could sent me more coupons - can't pass that up. She gave me my total and I handed her my expired coupon. She said, I'm sorry but this expired. I said, could you ask the manager if they would still honor it. The manager was standing right there and said, "of course". $20 off my total and my new birthday shoes were cheaper than anywhere I searched for online. I was I this store a grand total of 7 minutes and got some sweet new kicks at a great price. This is the kinda shopping I can get used to! Employees were very friendly too. I'll be back when I need more shoes for my family.
