This is one of my favorite Lowe's locations. I mainly come to Lowe's to purchase paint supplied for my furniture to refinish. Home Depot no longer carries a contract with Shermin Williams, therefore no contract with Minwax. They do not carry Minwax Polyacrylic or Polyeurathane anymore. I come to this location to purchase poly for my furniture. They also sell amazing paint, especially Shermin Williams. They do have some paint samples that are on a rack for a cheaper price due to being mixed improperly. The people working at the paint department are always super helpful and knowledgable about the paint department. The employees at this location are always helpful when it comes to asking for guidance. They always lead you in the right direction. They even offer helpful information on how to fix things. read more

Went to this location to make a large purchase on a refrigerator and a washer,dryer and the sales girl had mentioned how she doesn't think we have the best price and that they would honor the price if I went up. We'll come Labor Day the price did go and now the sales girl has no idea who I am and the manager can't "go back and honor" the price like she said they would. You think they would want the sale on a purchase like this. I would not recommend this store. Go to Home Depot. read more

I'm not sure why I always think of Home Depot when it comes to home improvement places. If I were blindfolded and led into a Lowe's, I'd probably think I was in a Home Depot. Aisle by aisle, the stores are a lot alike. And, that's a good thing, for the most part. But, maybe because of better marketing, Home Depot has more customers. And, here's what works out for the customers. They seem to have just as many people on the floor, which means there are going to be more people available to help you at Lowe's then there would be at Home Depot. The workers seem to be just as helpful, and just as friendly, but they're more available to help. Now, I just have to get myself to stop thinking first of Home Depot for my home improvement needs. read more

Never remodel your bathroom by this LOWES location!!! We signed a contract with them for $15,000.00 to remodel our bathroom and we are still waiting for our shower door, the vanity drawers need to be leveled, doors to be adjusted so they won't slam. LOWES owes us a credit for a bathroom facet that was never installed. We paid LOWES for a job and they never finished the work. Tony our Sales Man promised us credit for a few mistakes that were made and that was the last we saw or heard of Tony. Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec 2018. Bathroom still not finished. I went in and talked to his manager Jason. Never heard from Jason or LOWES again!!! NO SHOWER DOOR! $10,000.00 uncompleted work from LOWES, and we still owe a credit card $5,000.00. Where do we go? Purchased 6 appliances 2 months ago, it's been a complete disaster. 7 different delivery times, cancellation and 2 no shows. Delivery guys damaged my carpet, the installers tried to get me to pay for something I already had. On 11/13/2020 I noticed quite a few people walking or shopping through the store without masks or even caring to social distance. It was early in day and minimum employees working. No security checking at entrances. Any effort to request to persons without masks were simply ignored even though they had some masks available at front of store. Since Michigan is on verge of lockdown due to highest numbers ever I am very concerned. Maybe just a bad day for them? Would not go there again for awhile though, sorry. read more

It's easy to use Yelp when we are unhappy or upset. It takes more effort to let the world know when the service has been excellent. In our case, Amy at this Lowe's location is worth the extra effort. She spent many patient minutes with us so we could place a large appliance order, and she was extremely thorough in making sure the order was exactly what we wanted. And after all of that time, she even walked us to the cashier and stayed with us until everything was handled perfectly. Amy is an example of the perfect employee for any business - knowledgeable, patient, and a perfect temperament for dealing with the public. We have had other great experiences with Lowe's as well (for example, after thorough research, they had the best pricing for the appliances we wanted), but this experience went above and beyond our expectations! read more

These people are absolutely incompetent. I made an online pickup order which they emailed me was ready a few hours previous to my arrival. When I got there, they failed to mention they didn't have one of the items, and another item (wow that need to be cut to length). We've been waiting almost forty minutes now and still haven't got our pickup. It's funny, they have pickup parking spaces that are fifteen minutes only. They better change the signs if they can't hire people who aren't completely useless. I'm debating to see how long it with take me to just grab the items now and compare it to how long we've been standing here. read more

We didn't catch her name but she went the extra mile to make sure what we needed was in stock and actually went to the store room to physically check instead of taking the computer note as "gospel". I placed an online order yesterday morning for my Fiancé. I am last minute Christmas shopping and only placed an online order so I would be able to zip in after work, go to the customer service counter and pick up my order. I kept dreading that the line would outrageous (normally it is)... I arrived at 5:15pm & the very friendly sales associate helped me instantly. They brought my order up front and I was good to go. While I was waiting for them to bring my item up front, I asked the lady if they sold gift cards for stores other than Lowe's, she directed me to the end cabinet with all the other gift cards and told me to go back to her register and she could ring me up at the service counter so I didn't have to wait in a normal line. On a Tuesday morning I went in for ant killer. I was easy to see the best sellers. Those were the ones with no stock on the shelves. High up out of reach were cases of stock for the empty shelves including the product I wanted. I asked for the manager, Scott. I explain my disappointment, but all I received was " I'm so sorry". Many employees standing around but no one filling the shelves. He did not offer to have someone get the product down, but just smiled and repeated "I'm so sorry". Nice store like many other Lowe's I've been to. Two items though stuck out: 1. My daughter and I walked by at least 4 associates and not a single one said hello or asked if we needed help. Found that somewhat unusual as typically they are really friendly at the other Lowe's I've been at. 2. This was one of those stores where the entrance and exit are for some odd reason not in the same spot. This makes the walk to the car in 20' weather miserable from the exit. Kind of a bad way in my opinion to end a store visit. Otherwise we were able to locate what I needed for the house at a reasonable price. read more

I went in to exchange a broken outlet I purchased. I lost the receipt and paid cash so they couldn't look up the receipt. Apparently you can't do an even exchange for a BROKEN item or get store credit, what?? Renee at the customer service counter was as rude as could be, stating it was on the return policy but it doesn't say that anywhere?? Back to Renee's attitude... When I first approached the counter I explained my situation, she goes "Okay you can tell all this to the cashier" and points at her(she was standing right next to her!) I went to Lowe's to get mulch. I paid for it and went to loading zone and sat there for 20 minutes no one came out to load. I called Lowe's sat on hold for 20 minutes no one answered. I went back into the garden center and asked if a loader was going to load my order and was told no one was available. I have a back injury from my service in Vietnam so I can't do it myself. I got my money back. I asked to talk to a supervisor none were available. I went to customer service still on hold on my phone. I asked to speak to a supervisor the person at the desk called for one but no one came as I sat there another 15 minutes. While I was sitting at the service desk area the same woman I had talked to finally answered my call. There were three people at the service desk. I was the only one there. They can stand around looking busy but do nothing to help the customers. I left after wasting 45 minutes and left with out the product I went there for. I will never go back to Lowe's again. There should be national customer complaint number but no one would answer it either. If Lowe's looks at customer reviews they should follow up with the customer and make an attempt to do better. read more

Brian in windows and doors helped us to make the right window choice. We had done a great deal of research prior to stopping in. i purchased mulch, like i do every year at the same store and the same brand. i've never hard any problems in 6 plus years. until now.. the mulch said (red) the same color that i always get. well, in the bag the product looked reddish enough, until i put it down and it dried out .. its was brown with yellow and pinkish red chips mixed in. it looks like sh*t!! i contacted the store and after the clerk talked to the store manager, she informed me that they couldn't do anything to help me and that i would have to contact the manufacturer. well oldcasttle lawn and garden is a distributor. the manufacturer is out of mexico. and oldcasstle when i finally got someone on the phone said "sorry we can't help you" so, that will be the last time i buy their product. not that my $150.00 worth of mulch i buy will put a dent in their business, but now i have to remove their crap tri color mulch and start over, so "f" them..i always am treated very well at the chesterfield lowe's by their employees. but, to not stand behind the products you sell, well, i will think twice before shopping at that lowe's in the future. and that kills me; becuase i love shopping their.. read more
