By the time you do that, you will have had a better meal and a better ice cream at half the cost without waiting an hour to be seated. It's an overpriced St Louis tourist trap that continues to confound me on how much business it receives for the quality they put out. My wife and I stopped by for a late lunch / early dinner. We tried the Buffalo cauliflower appetizer along with bowls of gumbo and chili. To put it mildly, we were both underwhelmed with the quality of food served. My wife didn't finish her chili and we both chuckled when the waitress asked if we wanted a container to take it home. I guess she didn't half of the appetizer sitting there uneaten either. Who knows? Maybe their other menu items are better. We just won't be the ones returning to find out. read more

Been here several times.Service good. Food nice Have a beautiful patio but always told it is closed. Have been told that they only use it for pour over from restaurant since they don't get enough people who want to sit outside to put a waiter out there. While we were there several people asked about sitting outside. You would think if there are only a few people out there someone from inside would have no trouble covering. We were here not to long ago and we felt very unwelcoming and our kids seemed to bother the waitress. The food was basic and the place was not as clean as I would except it to be. Most off the food lacked seasoning and floors were way to slippery to the point were my chair was just sliding on it's own while sitting on it. Food was mediocre at best. Prices did not match to the quality of food. Soda was ice cold and the staff was very friendly. The floats were pretty but, not a place I would go back to eat. $11 for frozen chicken strips and $8 for a kids meal is absurd. read more

My name is Carla and my husband insisted on writing a review for an him and several others (about 14 dads & daughters) who experienced Fitz for the first time on Saturday night. Not only did the group come in closer to closing time from a father daughter dance, they came in at different times and were still greeted with a smile and welcome! (Most places can give some sort of attitude). Other than the floats making all of the girls giggle and smile, so did Amber's compliments towards their dresses and made them laugh at dad dancing jokes did as well. She was personable, kind and assisted with cleaning up melted floats. From our family to Fits', we will most definitely be returning for more great service & floats for more great service! read more

Great Root beer. After a wait at 4:30PM on Wednesday even with open tables. Very friendly server. Opened the Voodoo pizza and it came out cool. They made a new pizza and the edgers were very hot and the center very cold. The server and manager were super and offered alternatives and a free 4 pack and a certificate for a shake. I know that they are new and still learning but cold food is not the way to impress. PS the pizza was good the next day heated properly at home. read more

We started with fried pickles which were so thin and very salty. The burgers our party of three ordered were delicious but this was after he had given our food to another table first. We gave him the benefit of the doubt but we sat through most of our dinner without getting refills of drinks. I realized that the waiter was busy but he was inattentive. This was the first time here and I believe the bill was a bit high. However they followed guidelines for wearing masks while waiting to be seated and took proper cleaning precautions between customers. read more

I've been to this location a few times and have had good service. But the most recent visit after they reopened from quarantine I noticed that the place seemed extremely understaffed. I felt bad for our waitress because it looked like she was the only one working the whole building. I had to wait longer than usual because of this and I knew it wasn't my waitresses fault. I hope they can do something to improve this before my next visit. read more

This is for the new location on Lindbergh. The staff for lunch time was horrible. They only had one competent waitress. My son spilt a drink. We asked to have it cleaned up and at the time it wasn't busy. It took them 45 minutes to send someone back and they came back with a rag instead of a mop. So we had to go up and ask again 5 minutes later. The food was pretty good, but the service sucked. read more

My husband and I decided to give this place a try for a lunch without our kiddos. We came right at the lunch rush on a Sunday, so they were busy. We were told a 40 minute wait, but immediate service if we found a spot at the bar. Luckily, we did. We were promptly greeted and our order was taken just as quickly. The service was extremely attentive and kind. The atmosphere was family friendly and energetic, but not overwhelming. Our appetizer of fried cauliflower greeted us soon after it was ordered and was delicious. Our black bean burgers were huge and also delectable. Service continued to be better than expected and made our experience top notch. We will be back with our kids and extended family. Fitz's is a much needed addition to the area. read more

Not a horrible experience, but our server was a bit rude and the food was just ok. First we walked in and she was very short with us while we were ordering drinks. I asked if the ice cream for my root beer float could be poor in the soda instead of mounded on the top of the glass like they do, (it's easier on my sensitive teeth this way). She gives me a funny look and goes, "I don't think we do that. I'll have to check to see if it's ok." Weird, but alright. Then she's short with my mother as my mother is ordering her meal. When I order my meal, I asked if I could substitute the beans my dish came with with another side, (I can't have beans). She very harshly goes, "YES." Since I did not see a sides menu listed anywhere on the menu I was provided, I asked her, "What can I substitute it with?" To which she gave me another annoyed look, sighs, and hurriedly goes, "You could double your fries or you could have Cole Slaw." So I asked her to please double my fries. Well our food came. The fries were all I ate. My pulled pork was so dry I couldn't swallow it and I didn't want to bother her for extra sauce considering everything we did seemed to disrupt her life in an atrocious fashion. She very hurriedly gave us our checks and was pushing us to leave as well. When we left, a member of our party stated, "She obviously does not enjoy her job." The atmosphere is great and most of the food appears to be fine, but honestly, I'd rather make the drive to Delmar. South County has some stepping up to do before they become as iconic as their sister location. Especially in their customer service department. read more
