They have a great and wide selection of cardio machines, a HIIT zone, 2 saunas, massage chairs, and much more. This is one of the few commercial gyms in this area. It's definitely reliable and always clean. The two issues I have with this gym though it that it is ALWAYS full. I've gone at many different times and I've never seen this gym have less than 80 people inside. This leads to constantly having to wait to use almost any machine unless it's a cardio one. I can't always do all the machines I want to do because you never know which one will be popular that day. Having to wait for machines every day is extremely frustrating. In addition to this, parking is always a pain. The staff doesn't seem to try and control the influx of people because they are always giving tours to possible clients and heavily promoting to new customers via social media platforms and other methods such as texts or promotional posters around the vicinity of the gym. Before they even opened they kept on signing more and more people in for a membership when the are clearly exceeding an appropriate amount of customers. Good gym but extremely overpacked

A guy approached me while I was working at Aventura Mall and offered me what he described as a one-month gym membership for only $0.05. At no point did he clearly explain that I was actually signing up for an ongoing monthly membership that would cost $30 per month after the promotional period. I only found out afterward that I was enrolled in a recurring membership and that I have to go in person to cancel it, despite never being properly informed that I was agreeing to a monthly membership. The whole interaction felt extremely misleading. It seemed like the priority was simply getting another member signed up rather than being transparent about the terms and conditions. I understand promotional offers, but customers should be given clear and honest information before agreeing to any recurring charges. If the offer had been explained honestly, I would have been able to make an informed decision. Very disappointed with the way this was handled and with the lack of transparency.

Chanty is an incredible instructor super clear with her cues, motivating without being over the top, and really good at checking in and offering options whether you're new or more advanced. The mix of treadmill and floor work had my heart rate up the entire class, but the time flew by because the programming and playlist were so good. What really sealed the deal for me was the experience after class. The locker rooms and showers were spotless and perfectly equipped with everything I needed: towels, toiletries, hair products, dryers literally all the post-workout essentials so I could leave feeling refreshed and ready to go on with my day. If you're in the Aventura area and want a challenging, fun, and well-supported workout, I can't recommend Barry's Aventura enough. I'll definitely be back for more of Chanty's classes!

I primarily take classes with Raquel and Nesrine -- both are truly amazing at their craft! Nicole, along with the other front desk managers, are friendly, helpful, and always welcoming. Honestly, going to CP is the highlight of my day. I love that it gives me an opportunity to center both my body and mind while staying active and consistent with my health and wellness. With that said, I also want to share another perspective because I've seen reviews criticizing policies that, in my experience, are straightforward once you understand how the membership works. --The late-arrival policy is intentional--there is a 5-minute grace period. This prevents disruptions once class has started, protecting the class experience of the members. --Membership credits do not roll over and generally need to be used within the 30-day period. There are different membership tiers, and most memberships are specific to 1 studio, while the "Passport" option allows access to studios all around the country. Hallandale also has the added benefit that "Unlimited" members can visit several other locations owned by the same owner. --Popular classes can fill quickly, but people cancel all the time, so the waitlist moves quickly. The important thing to remember is that if you're #1 on the waitlist and someone cancels 2+ hours before the class, you'll be automatically booked into the class. At that point, the normal cancellation policy applies if you need to cancel. It's definitely something to be aware of when joining, but once you understand how the waitlist works, it's easy to manage via the app. --There is also a 3-month membership commitment, but this isn't new and outlined in the contract terms.

I was just five minutes late and had to sit and wait even though there were open spots in the class. Because of this, I lost my class credit, and my session was considered used. On top of that, they charged me an additional $15 as a no-show fee, even though I was there and begged the manager to let me in. This happened to me twice. A similar situation recently happened to my friend, so please be careful and don't sign any agreements or commit to Club Pilates membership. This feels like a scam on their part, and their managers are rude. The instructors don't really pay attention to how you're doing the exercises--they seem to care only about completing their class without regard for proper technique. I've been to this Tuluka Fitness 3 times to work out since finding it on ClassPass. The drop in…read moreclasses on ClassPass cost fewer credits than a lot of other gyms, so it was easy to decide to try it out. (I think the memberships cost over $200 a month even with new member promotions, so you have to really like the gym and really have the money to spend in order to get yourself a membership.) There is a parking lot behind the gym and a garage across the street where you can park if it's full. The selling point on the workouts here is that you can choose to work upper or lower body in one of the sections, kind of like a choose your own sweaty adventure. You start with a warmup, do the upper or lower body sub workout, do an abs sub workout, then do the workout of the day (WOD). That last part may remind you of Crossfit workouts, and their workouts indeed have Crossfit elements to them. The workout of the day includes a set of cardio with your choice of runs on the treadmill, pull downs on the ski erg, cycling on the assault bike or ergs on the rower. We did box jumps the first time I worked out here, but the trainer always asks you to let them know if you have any injuries or concerns with any of the movements and they can modify for you. I waited to go a couple more times after my first workout because I went through that first one largely annoyed. The trainer spoke Spanish for the majority of the time and lost any pleasantry when she turned to speak to me for corrections or the equipment to use. While a little kudos here and there would be motivating, she had little energy and said nothing encouraging. It felt like a cluster for a moment because there were 10 people (for a 6 AM workout) needing to use the same equipment for the WOD (like the boxes), so we needed to start the round at different sets. The other aspect of the workouts that reminds me of Crossfit is that the rounds can be repetitive, especially because you have to count reps constantly. Each sub workout consists of 3 rounds. The last time I went a few days ago, the trainer (a new one for me) told us to do each set within the sub workout 3 times before moving onto the next set, instead of doing each kind of set once and going through them 3 times. Either way, it's on you to count how many reps you do and and keep track of how many sets and rounds you've done and finish them within the allotted time (usually 10-12 minutes). The trainer leads you through a stretch at the end to cool down. What's great and torturous about the workouts is that they will take an hour from start to stretching finish. While many other studios and workouts promise a certain time like 45 or 50 minutes, I find myself sometimes coming out of the studio earlier than that time frame. You know you'll get the most out of the time you spend at this gym. It's a bonus that they lend towels to use during the workouts, because you will need one!

I had found them on ClassPass and saw that they offered Zumba. I hadn't done Zumba for the longest time and was itching to do one. This place provided that and then some. Amira at the front desk showed me around. Much appreciated. Seems all three buildings in this plaza all belong to the same place. Funny how I had passed near this area many times and never noticed this was around. I think it's one of those that you don't find what you don't look for. Shrug. They're open daily, and depending on the day, they close earlier. Such is the case on weekends. The café they have closes at 3 PM. As for the classes themselves, they usually go up to 8 PM or so unless it's the weekend (hence them closing earlier). As of right now, I can only comment on their Zumba class. It was taught by Cristian who started the class late and ended it late. Seems the yoga class from before got held up. At any rate, he made the class pass you by. He also went around, correcting moves, and it seems students generally like him. I found his class a bit intense. It was difficult to keep up. New moves, new routine. Definitely not the Zumba I'm used to. Very fast paced. I burned more calories than I usually would. Super happy with that, but ouch, you definitely feel it the day after. I'd be curious to see the style of their other instructors.
