This gym is an absolute joke. I've been here for 7 years and if it weren't for the child day care center I would not have a membership.. They FINALLY after 4 months fixed 3 of the cable machines but the seated calf raise machine is still down and out.. Been a solid 6 months. "We can't find a welder to fix it".. What a joke. WE GET CHARGED AN EXTRA $35 A YR FOR EQUIPMENT UPGRADES AND THIS IS WHAT WE GET IN RETURN.. "But we have bought 4 new treadmills and a bike!!!" Oooooo greatttt.. So now we have 47 treadmills, 17 bikes and 1 busted ass seated calf raise machine that prob cost $300 and for some reason these tight asses cant cough up the cash... So id like to ask Ronnie... "Where is all our money going cause it's damn sure not into upgrades.. Enough ranting.. I could go on all day about this place. I could write books on the B/S that goes on here.. Anyway, needless to say when the 24HR opens up on the South loop Ronnie and his tight wad goons will b losing a ton of clients. I have been a member of Golds Gym since January 2019 and can unequivocally state that it has been one of the best experiences I ever had with gyms. I recently moved from the Cypress area to Huntsville and decided to get a membership there. Its clean, orderly, equipment is precise and well maintained, but most importantly the staff there is extremely professional and courteous. I am retired law enforcement and also prior military and there are many similar members there who care deeply about their personal fitness and the location has an excellent clientel. I want to also bring special attention the General Manager, Ms. Velvet Kopach, who has been a consummate professional and completely represents what the Golds Franchise wants in their management. BEWARE!! If I could give this gym negative stars I would. Everyone needs to be aware of the fact that this chain of gyms has no sense of customer service or even humanity and exploits its members. I was diagnosed with cancer within 4 months of starting my gym membership and started treatments shortly after. I am now under 100 pounds and unable to raise my heart rate. After going through the written proper procedures THREE TIMES to cancel this membership with necessary medical documentation, Gold's Gym's financial institution has told me that I will have to continue paying for this gym membership or be sent to collections. Bottom line, they will make your family members pay for your membership even if you suddenly die because they apparently don't have souls and don't even abide by their own written policies. read more

I have enjoyed attending Silver Sneakers for the past two years. It is offered Monday thru Friday, my husband and I go Monday, Wednesday and Friday , DeAnn Baker Joyce is our instructor and she is Absolutely Awesome, she encourages us to become stronger and her workouts are great for seniors. We feel so much better and have more energy !! She treats us all like we are part of her family!! We have had a good experience with the staff at Fitness Project and we have always been greeted with a smile!! I would recommend Fitness Project as a Great exercise facility!! read more

What a fantastic gym! What I appreciate most is the outstanding child care service that is available. My two year-old daughter is going through that separation anxiety stage, so when I try to drop her off, she clings to me with a death grip. BUT the staff with the child care service is so gentle and patient with her. Every time I look through the window to check on her, someone is playing with her or including her with other little ones. I love Gold's Gym, the new Gym in Conroe is great. All new equipment and great classes. The gym is large and well appointed. Lot of weight equipment and cardio machines. The hot sauna and showers are first class. The preferred woman's area is well done. The children area is so spacious and full of play equipment. Tanning beds are available and the hours accommodate all workout times. Large parking lot in a convenient location. Would recommend to anyone interested in improving their health. read more

I joined the gym a few months ago, and I love it!!! I take several different classes and really enjoy them all. I've been impressed with every instructor. They encourage you to make each class your own, and always offer modifications. My granddaughters love the kids area!!! The child watch is horrible. My 3 year old son hates coming to this location. He always asks "to go to go to the other gym, with Mrs.Anna". The girls that work in the child watch are lazy, and always try to leave early. I always see them sitting around on their phones. We always go to the woodlands location. The Conroe location golds gym has always been ok, but it seems to have a little more TLC in the last 3months , the gym manager Valvet asked me me if there was any concerns about the Gym, no manager has ever asked me if I had any concerns about the gym, it was nice to know that someone actually cares enough to ask, RICK M. read more

Gym used my debit signature on a contract and has refused to let me out of it. I have filed with the business bureau. "Manager" Sean committed to cancelling my service personally, Staff informs me "management" is always busy in meetings. Filing formal complaint, and fraud charges with my bank. Big gym, kids club is awesome! Best gym for the price and unlike some people are saying they have a plan where you are under no contract you just pay $100 up front but it's also cheaper monthly so the yearly cost is actually lower and you are not under contract. read more

Machines are always broke! The locker rooms are gross! The Customer Service is terrible the assistant manger Elliot is very rude! Never says hello or bye when working the front desk!!! It honesty makes you feel unwelcome! read more
