If you're looking to shed some weight, A LOT of weight, or just even tone up and get that beach body then you need to give this gym a try. I've been to different locations and this one has become by far my favorite for multiple reasons: 1. The space of this gym is much larger than your typical Orangetheory gym, you don't have to worry about the tight spaces by the lockers or climbing one another while entering the workout room. You immediately see the difference once you walk into the studio. 2. The head trainer, Nikia, is by far my favorite coach at all Orangetheory gyms. I love the way she gives every single client equal amounts of attention, you'll never feel left out when she's coaching. I have certain training restrictions that prohibit me from using treadmills so as a result of that I stick to riding the stationary bike. I've always felt left out when going to other trainers because they usually forget to give direction to the one biking. I've never had that issue with Nikia, when she directs the treadmills to step it up she also instructs me to take it a step further on the bike and I love that. 3. The rest of the staff in the studio are just some of the most friendly bunch of people you'll ever meet. All of them are super approachable and welcoming and if you have any questions about something they are happy to help. The general manager of this studio, Maggie, did an amazing job of putting together an awesome team and you can see that everyone here works so well together. If you're looking for a new gym to call home, come check out the Spring location. It really is a gem.

I do want to leave a little feedback, however. I paid $200/mo for me and my mom. The location was convenient but we still struggled to make it in with the schedule and not being open in the evenings and weekends. When the location change occurred, that made it most likely impossible. I reached out via email multiple times to discuss cancelling or changing the plan. After a couple weeks with no response, I reached out again. When I finally got a call, I had to reiterate multiple times that I had no ability or intention to come to the new location to discuss it in person. If I could do this, I would've done it to begin with. When that message was finally received, the owner agreed to switch our plan but I'd still be charged $200 again since it was so late in the month. I told her that that this was beyond my control since I'd reached out much earlier in the month to resolve this and that I didn't want to be charged again. She said that she'd check into it and follow up via email. That was two weeks ago, a new billing cycle has occurred, and I've not heard a word. I'm glad that I called the bank to stop payment. In this economy, who can afford to keep paying hundreds for a membership they're not using. All of the customers should've been offered to end contracts once the location moved across town.

1 Star - Misleading onboarding & zero accountability (Hotworx Magnolia, TX)…read more DO NOT SIGN UP -- or at the very least, ask detailed questions, research Reddit, and talk to current members first. I signed up on January 6th because of a promotion and was very clear that I was leaving January 7th for a month-long work trip to California. My biggest concern was whether my membership could be used out of state without extra charges. For context, I previously worked as a Sales Associate at OrangeTheory, so I know how important transparency is during onboarding. I spoke with three different employees, including Chris and Marylin. While Marylin was incredibly kind and professional, not once was I told that using my Elite membership in California would cost an additional $12 PER VISIT. The only state ever mentioned with upcharges was New York. Fast forward to California -- I walk into Hotworx Rancho Cucamonga and am told I can access the studio, but my card will be charged $12 every time. I felt completely misled. At that point, I called my home studio to cancel, planning to re-sign in CA since I travel there often and would rather pay the higher base rate. Here's where things went downhill: Major issues: Despite clearly explaining my situation, I was told no cancellation fee could be waived or credited -- no flexibility whatsoever. There was no notation on my account about my cancellation request, which made it incredibly frustrating when I received follow-up calls asking how satisfied I was. I requested some form of comp or accommodation while still in CA, considering I only used my membership one time -- denied. A manager never once contacted me. Not a call. Not an email. Had any of this been disclosed upfront, I would have either waited to sign up or signed up directly in California. To be clear: I loved the sauna experience -- especially the bike. That part alone would have been a 5-star experience. But the onboarding, communication, and lack of accountability? Non-existent. One last heads-up: You are required to purchase a HOTWORX mat and towel, and they're pricey. No installment options were offered (unlike OrangeTheory). I highly recommend checking Facebook Marketplace first -- and sales associates should absolutely be disclosing this upfront. I hope this helps the next person avoid the headache I went through. Oh and cancellation was explained to be 99 dollars within 6 months of signing up. Please note, you will be paying 107.17 - happy gym searching

My only fear is that I won't like it at all when it is at full capacity. My husband and I worked out in a room together once, and two people in there felt like enough. I don't know if think 3 people in a room that size is ever going to feel comfortable. Also, why are the saunas so short? I'm 5'5 and can't raise my hands all the way to do a sun salutation. And my 6'1 husband almost grazes the ceiling just by standing. The videos aren't geared to people who are out of shape, only to people who are in shape. So, I worry about people not sticking with it because the videos are so hard. Finally, the towel mats. I understand the need for them, definitely. I just wish they didn't have to be HOTWORX branded. I have a gazillion Manduka ones at home that I can't use. And have to buy more of theirs with their name on it. They're a bit boring to look at.

I am fresh out of college and have landed my first job, which unfortunately is far away. After my moving process, I began calling all my memberships around town and this is the only one that I have had an issue with. I was never told when I joined that there is a 60 day cancellation policy - yes SIXTY DAY. EVERY other type of franchise has a 30 day cancellation policy, which I completely understand and expect. This 60 day policy means that I will be charged TWICE more after canceling - IN A CITY I DONT EVEN LIVE IN. Oh but that's all right, I can cancel immediately if I pay a SMALL fee of $99. I think that is absolutely absurd, I REGRET ever joining Hotworx. It's ridiculous because moving is a very NORMAL event in a person's life and not everyone knows 2 months prior that they're going to be moving. I guess no employee of Hotworx has ever moved in their entire life? Thank you so much for taking away two months of payment from a newly graduated, obviously broke, young person. Please save yourself, there's a sauna in every gym out there - that only has a 30 day cancellation policy because their main concern is your fitness not their pockets. BTW When I told my gym that I moved, they actually waived the 30 day for me - I guess you could call that excellent customer service? Something that Hotworx hasn't heard of.
