My only fear is that I won't like it at all when it is at full capacity. My husband and I worked out in a room together once, and two people in there felt like enough. I don't know if think 3 people in a room that size is ever going to feel comfortable. Also, why are the saunas so short? I'm 5'5 and can't raise my hands all the way to do a sun salutation. And my 6'1 husband almost grazes the ceiling just by standing. The videos aren't geared to people who are out of shape, only to people who are in shape. So, I worry about people not sticking with it because the videos are so hard. Finally, the towel mats. I understand the need for them, definitely. I just wish they didn't have to be HOTWORX branded. I have a gazillion Manduka ones at home that I can't use. And have to buy more of theirs with their name on it. They're a bit boring to look at.

I am severely disappointed. I'm not going to lie, I loved the workouts that I had here. This review…read moreis solely based on my experience in trying to leave Hotworx. I am fresh out of college and have landed my first job, which unfortunately is far away. After my moving process, I began calling all my memberships around town and this is the only one that I have had an issue with. I was never told when I joined that there is a 60 day cancellation policy - yes SIXTY DAY. EVERY other type of franchise has a 30 day cancellation policy, which I completely understand and expect. This 60 day policy means that I will be charged TWICE more after canceling - IN A CITY I DONT EVEN LIVE IN. Oh but that's all right, I can cancel immediately if I pay a SMALL fee of $99. I think that is absolutely absurd, I REGRET ever joining Hotworx. It's ridiculous because moving is a very NORMAL event in a person's life and not everyone knows 2 months prior that they're going to be moving. I guess no employee of Hotworx has ever moved in their entire life? Thank you so much for taking away two months of payment from a newly graduated, obviously broke, young person. Please save yourself, there's a sauna in every gym out there - that only has a 30 day cancellation policy because their main concern is your fitness not their pockets. BTW When I told my gym that I moved, they actually waived the 30 day for me - I guess you could call that excellent customer service? Something that Hotworx hasn't heard of.

I do want to leave a little feedback, however. I paid $200/mo for me and my mom. The location was convenient but we still struggled to make it in with the schedule and not being open in the evenings and weekends. When the location change occurred, that made it most likely impossible. I reached out via email multiple times to discuss cancelling or changing the plan. After a couple weeks with no response, I reached out again. When I finally got a call, I had to reiterate multiple times that I had no ability or intention to come to the new location to discuss it in person. If I could do this, I would've done it to begin with. When that message was finally received, the owner agreed to switch our plan but I'd still be charged $200 again since it was so late in the month. I told her that that this was beyond my control since I'd reached out much earlier in the month to resolve this and that I didn't want to be charged again. She said that she'd check into it and follow up via email. That was two weeks ago, a new billing cycle has occurred, and I've not heard a word. I'm glad that I called the bank to stop payment. In this economy, who can afford to keep paying hundreds for a membership they're not using. All of the customers should've been offered to end contracts once the location moved across town.

Here I completed my cicle of 8 years after 1664 classes attended and as many many times in my life with the 22 number involved to start or close cycles. PB Hughes Landing gave me 3 things 1. Strong Core 2. 4 friends beyond the studio 3. And the amazing teachers that I admire, I will not be able to teach a class after all this years, You are passionate, committed, amazing. I admire all of you. Unfortunately Heather, Amy, (owners) Ann and Rocky ( I guess managers/ reception) are not my ideal people, they are experts in making people feel shit. At Least if you are outside of a special group that they worship, I been witness of how many people come and go for the same reason.... I DID NOT FEEL GOOD THERE is what I always heard in different ways and I guess people will forget about what happen here and there but never HOW THEY MAKE THEM FEEL., and unfortunately that is true, only in PB the woodlands, I been in other studios and is complete different atmosphere and energy. Why I stayed? I guess because I'm loyal, and very committed and also stubborn ... And Then teachers like Flavia that makes you see the bigger picture and has an enormous heart to see the good in everything. :) I never understood why if you are in a PEOPLE BUSINESS and your income comes from people why not make the effort to calling by their name? Smile, welcome them, Or even say hi inside, I think in 8 years Heather say hi to me not even 3 times. Or Put a smiling face in reception as Britney or Sherry (they were awesome but they are not longer there...) or taking any opportunity to recognize any effort, I just never understood. After an unfortunate incident of many that happened in my journey in PB today by THEIR MISTAKE and lack of PEOPLE SKILLS I decided to write this, and why? Because many people go with their best intentions to find a good environment, and sign a contract and once they have your money you are just 160-200 USD a month. Thank you again to all the teachers, I appreciate each of you.
