Will NEVER start a membership at either conroe locations. A friend of mine started a membership and decided to try out the tanning beds yesterday. She told the staff member (Michael Rodgers) that she has never tanned in a bed before and she has very fair skin with little knowledge about the beds. His response was "We will start you in a stand up bed at 9 minutes okay?" She obviously ended up SEVERELY burned and we had to call the manager on her behalf. Kristen (manager for both conroe locations) was very rude and implied her staff is well trained and knows to start with lay down beds for a few minutes. Obviously this is not the case. She then told us that it must have been poor knowledge on my friend's part. EXTREMELY unprofessional. She did not even assure that she would check the cameras to see what happened. Based on this knowledge I will never attend planet fitness nor will I recommend anyone else to. read more

The exercise equipment is clean and ready for use. Lockers are installed and showers are available.

Worse than last year, everywhere I went in this location was dusty, musty dirty and in disrepair. Broken toilet seat, locker needed cleaned and sanitized, cycle kept changing resistance levels without input, door latch on dressing room loose, dirty and dilapidated bench seat, just everywhere. Also, the cycles are still packed together so tight people can bang elbows together. I cut workout short and was totally not into a cold shower in the not-ADA reg stall. The water did get warm-ish after a full five minutes, or maybe I was so cold by then it felt warm. Atrocious management. read more

It's big. It's clean. It has massage chairs with TV's All this for $40/mo ($480/yr) and a +$50/yr fee. Put it on your credit card, plus give your bank account information and forgettaboutit......hmmmm...until the fee doubles or triples? Perhaps I'm jaded, but I've tried dropping gym memberships. Better read the small print, because after these guys get your account number, it's like removing a tape worm. The seemed "staff" extraordinarily nonchalant regarding membership. Soft sell might be part of the chain-gym's "non-judge mental" business philosophy. With my day pass I was simply asked to scan it. No gym tour. Got a bacterial infection from showering at this location last Monday. My whole face is broke out, and my shoulders. Never have had this issue before. 100% certain it's from using the shower here. Otherwise the facility is nice. Bathroom seems a little dirty, and likely what lead to this. read more

This Planet fitness center on North Fraser, in Conroe TX. is amazing,. Mark, Adam, Kristen and Brandon are absolutely the best. Being that I have been a member of a gym my entire life, and as a former MMA competitor, and Senior Champion, I have seen excellent gym's, and not so. This Fitness Center is among the very best. The equipment is kept in great shape, the locker rooms are clean.. I have been at this Planet fitness for about 5 months and absolutely love my experience thus far. This gym has it all! From the copious amounts of cardio equipment, including treadmills, stair master machines, and elliptical, to free weights ranging in weight at 2 1/2 intervals, which is the very best if you do High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts like I do. The gym is easily accessed, and is open 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, (although I always work out during day time hours because I am retired at 74 years old. ) The equipment is always kept up, the club itself is always kept clean, and my wife and I are always warmly greeted when we come in for a daily workout, and we get a fond farewell after our workouts. The Black Card room is always kept clean, and temperature controlled. In one word "outstanding". read more

I like this place because it is close to my home However, I pay for the Black Card to use the hydrated, deep tissue chairs AND the main thing I purchased it is the Total Body machine. I love the vibrating plate and the LED light. HOWEVER, there a now 6 burnt bulbs our in the machine and every time I ask about when they are replacing them, I get....our manager knows OR they are suppose to be replaced soon. Well, soon has been 4 months! Rip off as far as I'm concerned. They get my money monthly and I get a 1/2 operational machine. NOT happy. read more

Call me Karen or whatever but how difficult is it when there are three people behind the desk and the gym is not busy for one of them to let me know when one of the black card amenities is available? I guess I just don't understand if they're not busy. If they are busy, I completely understand that not being a possibility. The problem isn't when you ask them because they will absolutely say they will do it but an hour later, when I had to go back and ask again and wait again for them to clean it was the problem. I have a pretty steady workout routine and I'm not hard to find so I just don't understand if they have enough time to hang out in the women's locker room on their phones or stand behind the desk on their cell phones. Why they can't take a minute of that time to come over to the 30 minute circuit room and let me know that the bed is available. read more

My mom had questions about charges from Planet Fitness on her card. She called this location to just get answers to her questions. The manger Kristen told her that she could come in at certain times to get a solution to her complaint. She made time to make sure she could make it in at these times but, then we were inconvenienced by Kristen because we didn't get a solution. She then decided to call the store again to speak to Kristen and as she's trying to get another solution in place , Kristen HUNG UP the phone in her face. She then called back to get a corporate number and her phone call was answered by another employee who told her the corporate number was information that couldn't be released to her but , in a sarcastic tone. My mom then called the corporate office and is waiting for a call back. She still has yet to get a solution to her complaint from the store. We are very dissatisfied with the customer service she's received at this location. read more

The day manager was so rude and did not show customer service at all, the way she treated me was not acceptable at all. If you don't want to assist the customer then you are in the wrong field, get a job that font have to deal with helping customer. This location was charging my bank card with out my permission, I am a gold member but I didn't sign up my membership with this location, so when she finally decided to look up my account with and nasty attitude, the only thing she could tell me was, there is fraudulent on my account, and I will have to call my bank. The Equipment was good seemed upkeep seems ok. business wise I struggle to figure if I am buying a used car or gym membership. when I signed up I asked for no auto bill which Brandon said come in by the 10th and pay great. 3rd month I had a $60.00 bill hit my account went in and was told that's the way it is why was I not told upfront. if I can get out of this I will 60.00 surprise as a disabled person on Disability money's tight 3 more trips today will be the 4th and I'm told the money is being credited back and in progress. WOWS, mind blown. I typically train out of a gym in the back of the woodlands because I like the cleanliness and staff. However Gino and his crew have this places looking like a top notch gym. I worked out for an hour today within my hour I saw the staff greeting ALL new comers and in between that they were making sure the sanitization station where stocked and areas wiped down. In addition I train for powerlifting and they have everything I need here to ensure I'm hitting my goals for the day. Hand down the best experience I have ever had at a plant fitness. We recently joined this gym and wow. LOVE IT. The amenities are great, and the price is low. All of the equipment is in good repair and it is VERY CLEAN!!! The environment makes you feel like working out and being there. They crowd meter on the app lets you know if it is going to be busy so you can plan when to go. ALWAYS attended by friendly and helpful staff. The price is half that of other gyms and no hidden fees. Imagine that. It has only been a month but this gym has been great so far. I signed up for Planet Fitness in June 2024, paying $56.96 for an annual membership and providing my credit card information for a monthly fee of $10.83. They charged this fee on June 24th and July 24th. However, on August 3rd, they charged an additional $15, and on August 7th, they charged $53.04 without any notification via message, email, or call. Unable to find a customer service phone number online, I reached out to the manager at their Conroe, TX branch for explanation and clarification. She responded aggressively, stating that 'This is a business.' As a result, I had to lock my credit card and request a new one from my bank. A few days later, I discovered through the Planet Fitness mobile app that they had canceled my membership without notifying me. I believe they are misusing members' accounts. Now, I am asking some resources for help to get back the money I paid for the registration. Please Be careful with this gym, technically scammer. read more

The Conroe location is really a nice gym, the staff members are attentive and professional. However, I have noticed that once again MSNBC has been removed from the TVs and replaced with a shopping channel and FOX NEWS as the only news channel. REALLY?? We would like to have a diversity of news channels just as there are a diversity of members entering the gym. Please replace MSNBC I really don't think someone will stop their workout to order from the shopping channel. read more

I went in today (04/16/2021) at 0600 to work out. I asked to use the hydromassage bed. The one that I was directed to appeared to have someone laying down in it; they appeared to be asleep. When I told the girl at the front desk, she directed me to another one. A few minutes later, while on the bed, I was approached and threatened by a man who claims that I "insulted his girl". Come to find out, the many verbally assaulting me and threatening me was the boyfriend of the girl that I saw sleeping; she had made up some story, fed it to him, and sent him after me. I cut my workout short, because I got tired of looking over my back. I asked the staff to have the manager call me before noon; a gauge on their responsiveness... I didn't hear from him all day. I asked for his contact information at 1700 hours, but the staff would not provide it to me. I doubt that I will be returning, if this is the level of service that I can expect from this place; I came for a workout, not to be threatened and harassed. read more

I was impressed with the variety and quantity of the equipment, cleanliness of the place and so many choices and trainers available. A 24/7 gym with no pressure or commitment. When you join, the staff does not tell you that you're locked into a 12 month agreement. They say you can always bring one guest with you as part of your black membership, however guests are only allowed to use certain areas of the gym. No classes offered. Spa area is not maintained very well. Tanning beds use the incorrect bulbs- Hello sun cancer! Understaffed and the manger Carlie is non responsive. Staff is very unprofessional. This place needs some serious operational assistance. After two months of calling, emailing, and going up there in person, I was finally able to cancel my membership. read more

I called to start a membership after my divorce and the said I owe them 300 and I was like I went for the initial walk and never been back because of my divorce and he was like it doesn't matter. Been a couple of months ago but my story should be shared. This facility is pretty nice and clean but the staff is disgusting. Well most of them worse experience with this ball guy. I believe his name Ron or Roth or something like that. Keep making advances towards me. I brush it off at first but once I told him I was not interested he got rude. I then started getting text from a fake number. I believe it's someone from there since they would have been the only people to get my number threw my check in. I eventually had to change my number couldn't prove it but have not been back since. Numbers Numbers Numbers Variety 9 out of 10. They have tons of machines and classes! They also have a massage area for their "black card customers" cleanliness 9 out of 10 Very clean neat and tidy. I have been here 5x and each time I've been here it's always clean Staff 9 out of 10 *the people I've interacted with on nights* So based upon reviews of this place I've seen tons of negative feedback. I came in with an open mind and I'm glad I did. I usually go to the gym around Midnight and stay til about three in the morning. I have had 0 issues, the staff is friendly and laid back. It's always clean and I signed up for a years commitment. I chose this gym due to it's location and package deal I received. Would I suggest this gym?: It's a Major Major Major Go if you want to work out in peace and not focus on meat heads and all the other gym freaks this is a good place to start. This has become my home gym because it's closest to my job. For now. Mostly things have been fine. A couple of issues. 1. Came in one night around 1:30am (I work late) and the guy at the counter told me that even though I was a black card member I couldn't use that gym. I was baffled because I had been coming here for around 3 weeks with no issues. He went on to explain how it was because he was new and the only one here that actually did his job right. That he even out performed the managers. Ok hunny. **rolls eyes 2. Tonight I came in exhausted ready to take a shower and go home and go to bed. There was a guy in the ladies locker room which is fine but he wasn't cleaning. He was sitting and chatting with the cleaning lady. Again which is fine but when I walked in he started his cleaning again which delayed my shower. Now she's spraying nasty smelling crap at my feet and on my shoes and making all kinds of noise and flushing the toilets which turns off the hot water every time she does that. Guys. Not everyone comes here to work out. Some of us come to relax. I travel a lot and I'm never in one city for too long. I stay in random places some of which do not have hot water or quiet spaces. I joined this PF in the summer of 2016 and used it 2 or 3 times a week. I was a 65 year old guy who was out of shape and wanted to improve. After a few months I was getting results and was happy. I have had health problems and one night I had a stroke. I was hospitalized and couldn't use them. My daughter went in and explained to the manager and cancelled my membership. There was no problems at all. I am much improved after therapy for 2 years at the VA (I am a Vietnam Vet) and am now told all I need to do is exercise to get stronger. I am going back to start over at this PF. I have been treated well by the people here and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. read more

Overall it's been a good experience. But I wish they could remind people that when they finish using a machine, to leave it promptly. I'm really tired of watching some folks do a few reps and then just sit there and occupy the machine while they look at their phones or just stare into space...... Some of us need to get to work and can't wait around for people to get off the machine. To update, I'm really tired of so many inconsiderate people! Whatever happened to "put it back where you found it?" You always find weights and dumbbells all over the place. No one ever re-racks them so folks like me can use them. People leave mats and medicine balls and benches all over place.... Since it's only $10 a month, I guess you get what you pay for..... Came on 5/14/19 around 8:30pm Guy with beard behind desk was kinda rude blowing us off, no one wanted to help when trying to check in when we were clearly waiting in plain sight. Spray bottles were all empty and place needs better upkeep on paper towels. Bathrooms were also pretty nasty to say the least. Machines all worked so theres that. I award 2 out of 5. read more

The owner should be the one to talk to the customers when they have a billing problem, instead of having their rude manager do it for them. Been with this Conroe location since 2015, and now I am very unsatisfied on how its run. Should be able to contact him when their is a problem. But I guess he is too good to talk to his customers. Sadly, no flips given by manager to years long paying customer. Whoever got my monthly payments and now no longer will, should take these reviews seriously, as they are accurate and your staff/manager are unmoved that their performance/interaction with us customers results in lost revenue. The human qualities of fairness, empathy, compassion, understanding, and logic are all missing on the managers, literally it is like talking to a hard programmed computer, not a thinking, feeling human being. It is not good to do people dirty, and be so greedy and inhuman in dealing with customers. The gain was $21.70 for these two managers, the loss was my annual membership revenue. I am left feeling disgusted by the hard line, zero humanity behavior of the Assistant Manager and Manager, both of whom bring no credit to the Planet Fitness name. read more

I gave y'all 4 stars I love the gym itself been going off and on for awhile earlier tonight I went in planet fitness and there was a guy that worked there long curly hair... I don't mean to be a Karen but he was rude very much so a dick to me the lady that was helping me was very nice until the guy employee wanted to butt in and tell me that I spent 10$ on a 24 hour pass that expires the same day you get it @midnight ... so like basically I spent 10$ for only 2 hours of working out..?? when I went there not even last week and the girl told me you get it the full 24 hours no matter what time you sign up for the day pass... not sure but I'm pretty upset w how the guy talked to me... as a customer and someone who works in public service . read more
