I started strength training at Inner Strength in June and in the 4 months since I've started, I've…read morenoticed a great difference in my abilities to do even the most basic things, like walking up steps. Having dealt with obesity my entire life, I made some major changes last year, including having gastric sleeve surgery, but the strength training has truly helped me become a lot stronger! My mobility has increased tremendously, by making simple tasks like tying my shoes, so much easier! I have much more flexibility and range of motion from working out there several times a week! Even though lower body days can be tough (I love upper body days!) I am thankful for the trainers at Inner Strength who offer encouragement and support, and are constantly on the mission to ensure the exercises are being done properly so that I can reap the most benefit from them. Yes, there are days when I wake up sore from using muscle groups that hadn't been worked in a while, or my legs and quads are sore from too many squats, but it is a good and gratifying kind of sore, letting me know that I got a good work out and reminding me that I'm only getting stronger!! It hasn't been too crowded, thankfully. They over organize the swimming, as I have one son that likes to swim by himself and it's over kill scheduling him 1 hour at a time. I'm just thankful he can go there. My one concern is if you work in the city and don't get home until 6 pm....swimming options are limited and if that's your thing, evaluate carefully. They have many other things going on there, but we are still scratching the surface. Benefits outweigh the costs!

I travel a lot for work and get to drop in to a lot of boxes. This was one of the best. It has the old school crossfit vibe, but with killer new equipment. As a drop in, you never know what you are going to get. One of the owners - Todd, was super welcoming and made me instantly feel like a regular. The other members were also awesome. Pros and Cons of the studio: Pros: -Very nice clean studio, fully equipped, new equipment (I didn't take a reformer class, so review is more for the TRX, weights, mats, etc). -Mary's Class was awesome, she totally kicked my butt the entire class. Felt stronger after her class Cons: -Website has very little information about attire for classes. I practice classic pilates twice a week in Dallas and not once have ever had to bring tennis shoes for a class. You need tennis shoes for the Kettle Ball/Pilates Class! Updates need to made to the schedule webpage that simply say "Tennis Shoes Required for this class." -Studio was really hot-the teacher was trying to lower the temp, but nonetheless I was still borderline about to pass out for the last 30 minutes of class. If this is your first time visit studio is on the second floor, some locals were able to point me in the right direction! Next time I am home I will take another class, but be more careful and call ahead about taking a traditional Pilates mat class instead.
