This gym has 2 lifting areas - Which is awesome because maybe your one of those type A personalities where you hit up a 5:30am class and want to come in at night to work on some snatches and you think, "Darn there is a class going on - guess there is nowhere to lift" ....FALSE! NO EXCUSE - get your ass in there and you can go to the second area "dock" or as I like to call it, "The Pit" and get your lift on, MadMax style - while listening to your heavy metal or Celine Dion. Maybe you are a type B personality where you haven't been up before 6am in like a million years, well don't worry my little friend, there are plenty of classes in the afternoon and evening for you to attend. And don't think this is a "one hit it and quit it" type gym -they also offer specialized training during the year focusing on badass skills. For example, they might have a gymnast come in and teach you how to do a muscle up over a couple weeks. Or they have a yogi come in and help you become all limber. They even used to have a Strongman class once a week where we lifted heavy shit, just to say we could. Maybe you want to start competing in Crossfit competitions? Well a good place to start is by joining a Crossfit Gym. Join the classes and start your progress. Maybe your more into gold medals and world domination - well you have another 3 years to perfect those Olympic Lifts - and 333 just so happens to have the platforms and coaches you'll need to help you get ready for the Olympics. Maybe you enjoy eating 8,000 calories a day and prefer your protein shakes mixed with beer and whole milk - they have strongman equipment available (but don't forget that you will need to also do cardio during the Crossfit classes, ya giant). Or maybe you just want to lose some weight and get in shape - the coaches can help guide you through a plan. This is not a $10/month, earphones on type of gym. Ever see the guy who is basically throwing the dumbbells in the air while he half sits on a bench with the other leg on a medicine ball, wearing an oxygen limiter mask, all in the name of "gainz" - ya that is not what 333 is all about. You come here for the guidance of your coaches, workout plans, and the support of the other members. If you are lifting wrong, be prepared for some guidance. Need some motivation??? Take your shirt off and work out next to Mr. 6 pack. You will be able to find individuals there who not only will go get a protein and carb packed meal after your work out with you, but they will also come to your kegger you threw just because it sounded like a good idea. Oh and how can I forget - Got one of those little things called a baby???? Don't let that little poop factory get in the way of your gainz - they have a kid room where there is a TV and toys. Got a baby that's grown up a bit??? Good thing they offer young athlete classes of various sorts. At the end of the day, this is a Crossfit Gym that will take you through Crossfit, Olympic Lifting, and Power Lifting - with all the other equipment needed to start to dabble in "specialized" lifting. The schedule of classes should accommodate most people, and it helps you get on track by attending regularly scheduled classes, because once you stop the excuses of why you can't make the gym, you stop the excuses of "starting my diet next week", and all your other excuses fall to the wayside. Figure out your goal, join 333, and achieve your goal - the effort is on you.

Once I arrived they had a nice little sign sitting outside that had the writing "Welcome Jade" on a whiteboard. That was the first time a company has personally welcomed me in that manner, I was pleasantly surprised. Once I entered the facility one of the first things I noticed was how clean it was and how good it smelt! The front desk lady welcomed me with a smile and gave me a tour of the facility. They have self-locking personal lockers, a bathroom with 2 showers (for the ladies, I'm assuming the men's bathroom is the same), they also provide earplugs, gum, and hair ties at the front desk. The studio itself is very impressive. It's split into 3 sections- cycling, strength, and yoga. Depending on the class you take will determine how much time you spend in a certain area. They have ride classes which is solely for cycling, Ride/Rep classes which is a mixture of cycling and strength, revive classes which is solely focused on yoga, and finally the traditional Spenga class which is the class I took and this class incorporates all 3 (Cycle, Strength, and Yoga). The Spenga class is a 60 minute class that is divided into 3 intervals of 20 mins. You get 20 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes doing strength training, and 20 minutes of Yoga. I found the class to be that perfect balance of challenging yet doable. Definitely expect to break a sweat! My instructor Lindy was great, full of energy, and motivating throughout the whole class! I sincerely enjoyed my experience here and can't wait to book another class!!

She is not amused. "Get over yourself" she says, and "If you look at yourself in the mirror one more time, I'm kicking you in the crotch" Nearly 100 sessions in the books, I have shoulders I've never had before. My stamina is through the roof. I can set the kitchen table using my glutes, including desert forks. Waking at 4:30 in the morning for the 5AM sessions with the rest of my SPENGA early AM weirdos takes a lot of adjustment, but me and the 24+ ladies "earn our sunrise", taking an hour to make ourselves a bit better than we were the day before. Give it a shot.

The gym here is not what you would think when you think typical gym-it's a large open space mostly concrete with some mats and rings and a couple of platforms for weights-it basically looks like what you would think of in a bad action movie where ninjas are training. The crew there is really friendly and I appreciated the effort they took to learn me and my buddy's names when we went because it seemed like everyone there was a regular but at no point did I feel left out. The warm ups got me in a sweat before even the regular workout-they focus a lot on strength and Olympic weightlifting at this Crossfit gym and it showed. A lot of the workouts are named and they were working on 'Grace' which was 30 power cleans for time. They took my and my friend aside to go over the basic movements with a PVC pipe and then moved us on to the weights-it was a tiring couple minutes but it was worth it. My friend had a few questions on how to perform a couple different moves and they took the time to go over it-even though it wasn't on the work out schedule and evaluated our form on it. Definitely a great place to work out if you're tired of treadmills and stuff.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!…read more Cross Fit is one of my favorites: it's so unbelievably down to earth. This is one place I know that I can't get away with anything. That being said: why would you want to if your plan is to come away with a great work out. You pretty much hang with the guys, as well. At CF, it doesn't matter who you are: try to best yourself. And that's what makes it tough! To be honest, I hit CF the most right before vacation time. Am I sloughing off the rest of the time? No, not at all. But, you really sweat yourself silly here; don't come to this spot with full make up and some fancy workout duds. Come to work and be grateful that the intent of these trainers is not only safety, but to help you 'up' your game. Besides, what better game in town is there than truly feeling your best and looking your best in a LWD or LBD. If you know what I mean.

While neither of us is what you would call an athlete, we both have noted significant changes in our day to day quality of life as a direct result of being regularly attending members. When I first set out to try CrossFit, I tried a couple different gyms in the area. The sample classes seemed intent on pushing me as hard as I could go without much regard for my current status of health. Easily the most important part of Leverage for me, has been the quality of coaching. Dave and Sarah run a tight ship. They're not looking to break you. If you're having trouble with a movement, they're going to positively encourage you to work within your ability level so that you can make improvements without breaking you. The community Dave and Sarah started is great, too. The people at the gym are always friendly, welcoming, and encouraging. Most people know your name if you've been more that once. There are a variety of class times that should easily fit the needs of most people's schedules. The rates are competitive. Leverage offers discounts for veterans, first responders, teachers, and students. The facilities are always clean and well put together. The bathrooms are always clean (supposedly that's a thing? I never realized...). There's a nice kids area that a lot of the members take advantage of. I will too, once my kids get a little older and more independent. I've been a runner, I've tried spin classes, martial arts, and plain old working out at globo-gyms. While I'm not the greatest athlete, this is something that has worked for me. I can't imagine working out any other way. The constant change of pace, the variety of movements, the tempo of the classes, Dave and Sarah do a great job motivating you to be better, without crushing you. Check it out. You won't regret it.
