I really enjoy that they have varied workouts now, some that are more walking/incline focused with weights, some that are formatted the same but with more recovery, I just wish those were also an hour long too! I used to take Barry's classes a ton when I lived in the city, but since I've found Shred415 it's my favorite - and I've now have taken almost 150 classes! Their class structure is very similar to a Barry's workout - their structure is 15 treadmill/15 floor/15 treadmill/15 floor, but the instructors also get creative with incorporating different types of equipment for different timed segments. My favorite right now has to be their 45 min strength class - Addie is amazing with form advice and programming! I also miss Colleen! Steph and Ashlee are excellent instructors and a fantastic duo, and I really admire how they run their business. They truly do so much - live DJ workouts, perks for special occasions, collaborations, putting different instructors on with opportunities, it's just really genuine and you can tell!

The classes range from 30-60 minutes, I believe, and they even have ShredKids which is a kids section in the studio for parents! I thought that was such a thoughtful addition to their studio. Also, the place is NICE. It's literally spotless and they have everything you need and more from a fitness studio. They have private showers and bathrooms and they were all so clean. Parking is right in front of the store, too. The instructors and team here are everything. Steph and Ashlee are beyond incredible. Supportive, energetic, kind, hospitable - they truly were meant to be doing this and they're what differentiates Shred415 from other fitness places. Tori is awesome...she is a great motivator and really knows how to cater a great circuit trained workout. First of all, there are no contracts to sign a 6 or 12 month agreement nor do you have to pre-pay 6 months in advance. Last July/August I was looking for a "boot camp" style work out to get back into shape. There was another fitness place, that wanted a 12 month "contract" where you pre-paid for 6 months at a time for $250-400 per month....for a very similar workout schedule/set up as what Tori has at Finetix Fitness 5.0. I found this place on Facebook and I texted the number and got a reply back in half an hour or so. Tori was professional and avoided any negative statements about other fitness places around...she spoke to me directly and up front and stated what she can provide. I signed up for the boot camp option and here I am, roughly 6 months later, I purchase a 12 sessions of one-on-one training along with the boot camp, and circuit training(we did, upper body, lower body, abs, cardio, boxing, etc) types of workouts...I spent roughly $60/month for 6 months plus roughly $200 worth of personal training, and I am extremely happy with the results...a lot less than spending $400/month for a year...I didn't break the bank to get the results...I suggest, eat healthy and just show up and be ready to workout for 45

A membership costs around $80 a month and they do not offer or sell "day passes." Positives - not too crowded in the morning and virtually dead on the weekends, but evenings and lunchtime has some folks in there. - has all of your major pieces of equipment and tools. - it seems since it's small, not crowded, and has everything, my workouts are much more quickly executed than doing it at the larger gym (LifeTime). - has a certified trainer there some of the time and you can hire her for personal training. - sometimes they offer night classes for spinning. This has gone in and out over the few years I've been a member. - parking and getting into the gym is no fuss and very close - shower rooms are private, have lockable doors, complete with shower, sink, countertop, shampoo, bodywash, etc., although half the time the faucets don't work. - tv's on the treadmills and steppers...and they usually work - they usually have apples (but only apples) out Negatives - there are lockers, but you can't lock them, even if you have your own padlock, so you have to carry your phone, wallet, and keys with you. - faucet in the men's bathroom and most of the shower rooms do not work half the time (been like that for years)...usually the women's bathroom faucet works. I'm only talking about the sink faucets, not the shower water. - takes awhile for broken equipment to get fixed properly (e.g., the elliptical had been sounding like it's about to fall apart for a few months now). I think they tend to take action only when hotel guests say something. - no steam room or sauna - they have towels, but they sometimes smell pretty rough, like they didn't get washed well. Sometimes old makeup on them.

A CrossFit gym (or a "box" in the CrossFit world) is kind of underwhelming when you first walk in…read more There isn't much to it. There are some racks, some barbells, stacks of weights, ropes, boxes, and a variety of other stange things. Don't let that fool you. There may not be a whole lot of fancy and expensive equipment that you're used to seeing in other gyms, but this isn't like other gyms, either. Be prepared to train harder than you ever have before. You'll be sweating. You'll be out of breath. You'll be tired. You'll be sore. But, you'll have fun doing it, you'll make friends, and you will soon find yourself looking forward to your next WOD (Workout of the Day) whatever that may be. With CrossFit, each day is different, because each workout is different. You never know what you're getting yourself into, until you show up that day (unless you read the WOD Blog the night before) and with a different workout each time, you won't get bored. The prices are higher here than your typical gym, but there's a good reason for that. You'll have a trainer with you at each session reviewing each excercise before your WOD begins and then individual guidance during your workout. Each of the trainers at Sugar Grove CrossFit are extremely knowledgeable, are willing to help in any way to help you achieve the results you're looking for, and will motivate you when you need it most. I've only been doing CrossFit for a short time now (coming straight off of the couch), but I've already seen dramatic results. I've had success in traditional gyms, but usually something comes up where I lose my motivation and then I stop going altogether. It's different here. Not only because of workouts, but because of the people you'll meet. You will get to know the people here. You will get to know the trainers as well as the people you work out with. They will become your friends and you'll spend time outside of the box with them, whether it's at a charity event like a boxing match or breast cancer awareness WOD, celebrating Black Wednesday, or even attending the upcoming Christmas party. You'll know each other's names and they'll expect to see you in the box - if not, I would imagine/hope that t I'd get a text or a phone call. They say that CrossFit isn't for everyone... but, it should be. Whether you're young and already in shape or middle-aged with a more round shape, this is for you. Your workouts will be tailored to you and your abilities. No matter what, it's going to be hard, but the trainers here won't let you do anything that you shouldn't be doing. So, stop in. Watch a WOD. Ask to try it out. You won't regret it.
