My favorite part is the stretching with the elastic bands at the end of my workout. I get to wind down cool off and work on keeping my muscles flexible.. Since I started this program I have lost weight,toned up, learned how to eat better and make better food choices. I feel more confident and have more energy. Jan is great and does an excellent job correcting form so you get the best workout possible without hurting yourself. I've been loving the 6-week challenge classes I've been taking. We spend some time learning different exercises and strength techniques and then we do a solid circuit workout (usually about 20 minutes). Plus, we spend some time discussing best diet practices and swap paleo recipes. I love that I sweat and feel my muscles working, but the time goes by so fast! Partner workouts are a lot of fun too and I find those the most motivating. Once I arrived they had a nice little sign sitting outside that had the writing "Welcome Jade" on a whiteboard. That was the first time a company has personally welcomed me in that manner, I was pleasantly surprised. Once I entered the facility one of the first things I noticed was how clean it was and how good it smelt! The front desk lady welcomed me with a smile and gave me a tour of the facility. They have self-locking personal lockers, a bathroom with 2 showers (for the ladies, I'm assuming the men's bathroom is the same), they also provide earplugs, gum, and hair ties at the front desk. The studio itself is very impressive. It's split into 3 sections- cycling, strength, and yoga. Depending on the class you take will determine how much time you spend in a certain area. They have ride classes which is solely for cycling, Ride/Rep classes which is a mixture of cycling and strength, revive classes which is solely focused on yoga, and finally the traditional Spenga class which is the class I took and this class incorporates all 3 (Cycle, Strength, and Yoga). The Spenga class is a 60 minute class that is divided into 3 intervals of 20 mins. You get 20 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes doing strength training, and 20 minutes of Yoga. I found the class to be that perfect balance of challenging yet doable. Definitely expect to break a sweat! My instructor Lindy was great, full of energy, and motivating throughout the whole class! I sincerely enjoyed my experience here and can't wait to book another class!!

You shouldn't attend if you are concerned about the same issue…read more After three months solid working out 6 out of 7 days a week, every time I walk past my wife I ask her to touch my butt, insisting that she appreciate its firmness and suggesting that rubbing it would give her good luck like rubbing the belly of a Buddha statue. She is not amused. "Get over yourself" she says, and "If you look at yourself in the mirror one more time, I'm kicking you in the crotch" Nearly 100 sessions in the books, I have shoulders I've never had before. My stamina is through the roof. I can set the kitchen table using my glutes, including desert forks. Waking at 4:30 in the morning for the 5AM sessions with the rest of my SPENGA early AM weirdos takes a lot of adjustment, but me and the 24+ ladies "earn our sunrise", taking an hour to make ourselves a bit better than we were the day before. Give it a shot.

He listened and was compassionate to my struggles with food and exercise, then focused on MY goals, never condemning me and my previous habits, never promising Achieve could do what I failed to do, but that Achieve trainers would be there to make me accountable, as well as, provide an A-B-C simple plan to get there. My first session was truly fun! I got my a** kicked just doing conditioning, but never felt ashamed at how weak and out of shape I currently am. Ryne helped me feel comfortable and kept my kind off of an extremely vulnerable situation for me. I laughed and smiled the whole time. I built more self confidence in that hour then I have had in a long time, which will keep me coming back, no matter how sore I am! Achieve is in the process of expanding and today I got to experience some of the best turf I have ever been facedown on! (Ryne, I told you I'd put this on Yelp!) While the gym is expanding, Ryne has no plans to change the individualized training in small groups, the personalized workouts which brings the feeling of comraderie with the trainers and other clients, or his direct involvement with each client. A CrossFit gym (or a "box" in the CrossFit world) is kind of underwhelming when you first walk in…read more There isn't much to it. There are some racks, some barbells, stacks of weights, ropes, boxes, and a variety of other stange things. Don't let that fool you. There may not be a whole lot of fancy and expensive equipment that you're used to seeing in other gyms, but this isn't like other gyms, either. Be prepared to train harder than you ever have before. You'll be sweating. You'll be out of breath. You'll be tired. You'll be sore. But, you'll have fun doing it, you'll make friends, and you will soon find yourself looking forward to your next WOD (Workout of the Day) whatever that may be. With CrossFit, each day is different, because each workout is different. You never know what you're getting yourself into, until you show up that day (unless you read the WOD Blog the night before) and with a different workout each time, you won't get bored. The prices are higher here than your typical gym, but there's a good reason for that. You'll have a trainer with you at each session reviewing each excercise before your WOD begins and then individual guidance during your workout. Each of the trainers at Sugar Grove CrossFit are extremely knowledgeable, are willing to help in any way to help you achieve the results you're looking for, and will motivate you when you need it most. I've only been doing CrossFit for a short time now (coming straight off of the couch), but I've already seen dramatic results. I've had success in traditional gyms, but usually something comes up where I lose my motivation and then I stop going altogether. It's different here. Not only because of workouts, but because of the people you'll meet. You will get to know the people here. You will get to know the trainers as well as the people you work out with. They will become your friends and you'll spend time outside of the box with them, whether it's at a charity event like a boxing match or breast cancer awareness WOD, celebrating Black Wednesday, or even attending the upcoming Christmas party. You'll know each other's names and they'll expect to see you in the box - if not, I would imagine/hope that t I'd get a text or a phone call. They say that CrossFit isn't for everyone... but, it should be. Whether you're young and already in shape or middle-aged with a more round shape, this is for you. Your workouts will be tailored to you and your abilities. No matter what, it's going to be hard, but the trainers here won't let you do anything that you shouldn't be doing. So, stop in. Watch a WOD. I had a feeling it was an upstairs unit after seeing that. I came in very last minute, and scrambled to a spot right before they started. No introductions, no nonsense. You are here to work. I think there was a sign in the entrance that said as much. I can't say I wasn't warned. If you need more examples of how hard you work, YOU DO ZUMBA AS A WARM UP! You know, that hardcore aerobic workout that serves as a stand alone in normal workout studios? That's child's play at V Fusion! This review might be coming off as negative, and I don't mean for it to be. Just know what you're getting into before you go. This will WORK you. I was warned I was going to be sore for a few days. I could feel it immediately after my workout, and after my yoga experience, I had a feeling as much. I worked out on Sunday. On Wednesday, I still couldn't put a coat on without a struggle. I thought my shoulder muscles were torn. I had cool thigh muscle bulges above my knee. I felt like Steven friggin Segal. I have since told all my friends that this place will ensure a great workout and even better butt kicking. I plan to go back for sure. Let's just hope I don't die.

Even the Wii Fit hurts my bod--thank you to years of cheerleading and injuries for my arthritis and loosey goosey ligaments/tendons (yes, that IS the technical term that the orthopedic surgeon provided me with). So I watch Groupon for fitness deals, because I'm a deal hound like that. One day, I see a deal for True Health Studio. "Hmmm" I say to myself...let's see, shall we? Zumba? Fun! Kettlebells? COOL! Sledge hammers and giant tires? HELL YES! But wait...I can't do any of that...It will hurt. *sad face* Restoring movement? Now we're talking. Two weeks in and I'm hooked. Steve runs the class as a group personal training, where routines are personalized for each individual in a small group setting. His knowledge of the body and how we move is phenomenal. Rock. On. No pain, no gain? Not in this class. The goal is not to push too far, but to go just far enough to move more the next day. After day one, I was still a little sore, but I wasn't in pain and I was excited to return. I leave each session with a smile on my face knowing that my body is getting stronger and that one day I WILL get to play with sledge hammers and kettlebells.

So, it's practically two months. In my case I had conflicts and extended travel that quickly changed my ability to attend. I went a total of five times and cancelled and the total bill was $594. They refused to allow any credit for my circumstances. I reluctantly agreed to pay what was contractually due, but when I asked for my credit card information to be erased they actually became quite rude and belligerent, hanging up. I'm very disappointed and can't recommend their services.
