A busy little section of town that could also be good for business. I was greeted kindly and professionally once inside. Small amounts of seating inside and a few out front. I didn't expect all the variety of empanadas they made. They were a bit smaller than I expected, but each of them were super delicioso! Tasty, fresh, healthy, clean eating. Always a ton of food, I usually have plenty for 2 meals. I think I've tried every variation on the Mixto bowls. My favorite is probably the tofu, and sadly, my least favorite is the Carnitas, which is more like meh pulled pork, not much seasoning and not crispy. The diced tomatillos and pickled onions are tart and delicious and provide a nice contrast to the heavier elements. Usually add avocado as well. All the sauces are good. I always get the hot sauce, and generally both green and red. The green smoothie is tasty, hydrating and not too sweet. I love having this option downtown. It's nice to be able to get something relatively quickly that you don't feel bad about eating, and the cost is more than fair. I've seen a number of folks complain about the protein portions here. They aren't huge, maybe 4 oz? That is plenty for me, particularly with the millet and beans, but if you're worried about having more protein, you can add on extra when you place your order, it's not terribly expensive to do so.
