While following another Sacramento social page, I stumbled onto Marias Paella & Empanadas. In one…read moreof the videos she was stirring up a huge pot of paella at the farmer's market. I listened carefully to her and was impressed by her enthusiasm. Weeks later I finally made my way by her shop. Not a lot of parking and normal for parts of Sacramento. A busy little section of town that could also be good for business. I was greeted kindly and professionally once inside. Small amounts of seating inside and a few out front. I didn't expect all the variety of empanadas they made. They were a bit smaller than I expected, but each of them were super delicioso! Now I want to make another trip back to the farmers market in Sac to pair it up with the paella. Totally looking forward to my next visit.

I had pretty high hopes that it would be pretty close to what I have had in Spain unfortunately that was not the case. I will say that the taste was not too bad. I would give it a 7/10. However, it was the texture of the rice. It was too mushy. The empanada was pretty good. The service was quick. It was a pretty small place, so I don't recommend coming here as a group- it's more of a take and go. May come here again and if I do will make sure to update.

You guys had MONTHS to cancel us if you couldn't do the day I booked you for which was September 12th. Didn't hear a PEEP from anyone on your team for months. We heard good things about your food and I was really trying to give you guys the benefit of the doubt, or maybe even extra time to reach out to me considering Labor Day weekend is coming up and I understand it can be busy. I've called every day for the past week and a half , leaving a voicemail every couple days so I didn't seem too pushy. On August 2nd I leave a message to your guys IG saying we will move on if need be and that you're being unprofessional. When I finally receive a reply back, you reply back at 12am midnight telling me the date we booked is no longer available LOL WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN. I will leave what your exact message reply below as proof in a photo. This entire experience is beyond unprofessional. I am 8 months pregnant and scrambling for a new vendor NINE DAYS AWAY FROM MY EVENT. This is added unnecessary stress to me and this entire situation could have been avoided had you guys actually answered the phone or been honest from the start which I would have been understanding if you told us in a timely manner. I will never recommend anyone to you for business from here on out. I hope in the future you can pay more attention to your bookings.

I cancelled my…read moreaccount by their prescribed method - emailing (which they confirmed they received, and responded that they didn't know my name or email - even though they had it from my email message itself). They are saying they could only see like an Apple ID - which is no method I have ever used for logging in anywhere. Never, and they just talk over my head about it. Furthermore, my service stopped for 6 weeks. Why wouldn't I think my account is closed? Who wouldn't? After 6 weeks, while out of town I received not one but two boxes!!! They are still sitting on my front porch rotting. I'm mortified not only they they act like this was my fault somehow when I cancelled in good faith, stopped receiving their product, then all of a sudden received two boxes (the second one was processing before I even realized what was happening). I'm now out the cost of $243.82 (the price of 2 boxes) because they won't refund me for food I didn't order from an account that they clearly should have cancelled. It's also important to note that the food is not great. Every meal tastes essentially the same and extremely bland. Furthermore their customer service members are rude and condescending, Trent and Dave. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TRIFECTA! In response to the company reply below: 1. They acknowledge my cancellation request. 2. My shipments STOPPED. For 6 weeks. Who wouldn't assume Trifecta did their job? 3. Suddenly charges and boxes appear after this time period. Please also notice the tone and demeanor in their response. For as abrupt and "consumer blaming" as it is here, they are much more rude and condescending directly one on one. AGAIN: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TRIFECTA

Tasty, fresh, healthy, clean eating. Always a ton of food, I usually have plenty for 2 meals. I think I've tried every variation on the Mixto bowls. My favorite is probably the tofu, and sadly, my least favorite is the Carnitas, which is more like meh pulled pork, not much seasoning and not crispy. The diced tomatillos and pickled onions are tart and delicious and provide a nice contrast to the heavier elements. Usually add avocado as well. All the sauces are good. I always get the hot sauce, and generally both green and red. The green smoothie is tasty, hydrating and not too sweet. I love having this option downtown. It's nice to be able to get something relatively quickly that you don't feel bad about eating, and the cost is more than fair. I've seen a number of folks complain about the protein portions here. They aren't huge, maybe 4 oz? That is plenty for me, particularly with the millet and beans, but if you're worried about having more protein, you can add on extra when you place your order, it's not terribly expensive to do so.
