I ordered the Harvest Bowl with pickled onions added because I was craving Sweet Potatoes. The Harvest Bowl comes with antibiotic-free roasted chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, apples, goat cheese, roasted almonds, wild rice, organic shredded kale and balsamic vinaigrette. The portion was huge and the lunch was beyond filling - I ate the whole bowl! They have so many bowls that sound amazing - the Crispy Rice Bowl, Chicken Pesto Parm (might order this one next time), Steak Honey Crunch and even a Omega Glow with Salmon! They also offer wraps, salads, protein plates, kids meals and even sides like Focaccia Bread, Brussels Sprouts and chips. Overall, I can't comment on the service or ambiance, but I enjoyed my bowl so much that I will definitely be visiting this location in person! Check them out!

This takes me to Midtown Sacramento where I got to try out "Plant Power Fast Food". Located directly on R St. and adjacent to 11th St. at the WAL Public Market, this place has been operating ever since mid-2021. Just about all of their locations are in SoCal (Los Angeles, San Diego, & Inland Empire) with another location in Las Vegas, NV. As of 2026, Midtown Sacramento is their only location in all of Northern California. I came here during the morning of Thursday 8/20/2026 at around 8:40am. They offer street parking; however, pay close attention as some of it is free but the majority of it is metered. I was fortunate to park in a one-hour spot without paying. I also wanted to add that hours are reasonable as they are open 8am-8pm Mon-Thu and 8am-9pm Fri-Sun. The exterior layout offers ample seating for the more comfortable Sacramento days. However, the interior is quite spacious as seating is offered for at least 50 guests. Additionally, they offer self-serve sodas, juices, and teas as well as a condiment area that offers napkins, ketchup packets, and straws. Since I arrived specifically for breakfast, I ordered their "Bacon Egg & Cheese Croissant" combo meal. This included 'vegan' bacon complete with a 'just' egg (that is a plant-based egg substitute made primarily from mung bean protein isolate), melted cheddar 'cheese' (oat cream that is dairy-free & vegan), and fresh spinach on a warm, buttery croissant. My sides include Breakfast Potatoes (which are actually gluten) and an Iced Vanilla Cold Brew". Total price for this meal was around $17.39 + tax which was quite steep considering a regular fast-food establishment is about half that price. In addition to their breakfast croissants, they also offer breakfast bagels, English muffins, burritos, and a plant-based 'chicken' & waffle. If you happen to visit during non-breakfast hours, they offer plant-based burgers, sandwiches, wraps, & salads. This also includes vegan wings, tenders, & nuggets as well as oat-based sundaes and ice cream. As for my breakfast croissant, the overall taste absolutely mimics that of a fast-food place similar to what you'd find at a Burger King or Sonic. It wasn't bad but considering how much alternative ingredients you get, I wasn't all that impressed. The good news is that it wasn't oily/greasy while the potatoes were crispy and cooked to perfection. And my cold brew was just okay as the cup was predominantly filled with ice cubes and very little liquid. Even though this review is very biased, I am going to go neutral and give "Plant Power Fast Food" just an average three-star rating. I think it's great that places such as this void all animal products. But when it's all said and done, this is still considered fast food (with a much steeper price to go with it) as this meal still has an elevated level of calories, sodium, sugar, and carbohydrates. However, don't let my review deter you from eating here as I enjoyed the ambiance, above average service, and experience. But for my personal take on this place, the food was just okay for me.
