Came here for a bite to eat was around 1am i was surprised they were open because i was craving pizza. Glad we made it before they closed didn't wait to long the pizza was delicious we got a chicken bacon white sauce pizza so good!!! The place was big with lots of seats the lighting was nice also their bathroom was very clean will come back again for sure.

Garlic nan- fresh, super big and fresh. The dip that goes with it is pretty tasty. Never had and I enjoyed it

Food 5/5 : Excellent. Their lunch combos are super cheap and affordable. The food tastes fresh to me. Service 5/5: Excellent service from the owner and the two ladies that served us Ambiance 5/5: Despite it being located in the bustling busy streets, I must say the inside brings lots of warmth and chill vibe Parking 2: I gave them a two because there are still parking in the surrounding area. Just got to drive and find it. Best time maybe around 11 Bathroom 3.5: Only one bathroom , but guess what it's not home so get in and get out. It was clean though and didn't smell. I appreciate it The location of it pretty much makes me drive by it all the time. Located in midtown next to the busy streets of Sutter. Who enjoys the traffic and the dumb drivers in the area? Not I. Nonetheless I must say this is an all thumbs upper for me. I have gone to many Pizza Twists locations but by far this is the best one. The owner is super nice. He was chatting with us and giving us so much heartfelt gratitudes to all his customers and shared some other personal stuffs regarding being the owner of a used to be Round Tables I believe. Moving forward, he will be doing a buffet lunch style in about 2 weeks from my post and I will be returning to get the video of the update. For those that doesn't like the selections due to them making community favorites please be mindful and ask the owner to make you something you would like and keep in mind due to its specially made for you, please be patient. I understand an empty stomachache and a particular eater doesn't go well together but don't bash the business afterwards. Menus on their website Pool table and love the wall art. If you are curious and like your pizza with a twist, look no further. He is located in the heart of midtown where the ingredients are not spared and the love is spread. Check them out. You will not be disappointed because the owner isn't snobby . Toodles Fellow Foodies (ops forgot. Their lunch butter chicken was a hit for my friend who makes her own butter chicken as well. She is going back)

The staff was extremely helpful when we came in. We had never been until last night and he helped walk us through the menu and decide what to get. They have a vegan, vegetarian, and carnivore menu. We got the vegan tandoori bbq chicken pizza twist. If it says twist it's a mix of pizza with Indian flavor! The pizza was a good size for two people when we got the medium. The tandoori and bbq sauce was delicious and the pizza crust was the perfect consistency. The tofu chicken was a little tough and I wasn't a huge fan of that flavor. Overall a pretty good vegan pizza and they had a ton of options which I appreciated. The restaurant was empty when we went and we could sit wherever. It's a very casual style of dining!

I ordered a pizza and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I came after 20 minutes, they told me to wait another 20 minutes. It has now been 40

Yum yum! First time I tried this Pizza and it is now on my rotation. There are two parking spots on the busy road in front of the store as well as a parking lot across the street. Inside seating is plentiful. Taking out was quick after I ordered ahead online once and another time ordered to go in person. There are several stores around which is nice to know. I have already found one closer to where I live.

The combination Pizza was something to be spoken about. It reminded me of SHAKEYS pizza win I was a boy It was so fresh and so good I'm definitely coming back

Crunchy undercarriage.

Sean the owner was impressive. I ordered the Tikka Masala Chicken. As described, it is an Indian fusion pizzeria. You can choose spice level. Crust perfect and undercarriage firm with a bit of crunch. Too many choices to describe including Halal, Tandoori, vegan etc. Im not even going to try to list the incredible choices. You can go from traditional to a wild culinary adventure and everything in between. Will be back for Halal Spicy Lamb Kabob Pizza.

If you're a fan of eastern cuisine, this Tibetan lunch spot is a must-visit…read more The Meal: it's really only one thing to choose. I expect they might make a different meal every day and you just go in and order large or small. Those are your choices. They don't have any spicy condiments and I guess that's pretty normal for Himalayan food. They did slice up a jalapeño for me so I was able to get that capsaicin rush that I demand. If you like spicy stuff, I might recommend bringing your own hot sauces. However, I had no idea I was stopping for lunch and I forgot to bring such things (I clear out any food from my car every night due to the bear situation where I live) So, I just bought one of their five dollar hot chili concoctions that appears to have primarily Cayenne peppers and oil in it. There's no ingredients listed on the bottle so I can't tell for sure. This was a great find because one of the few places I've been missing in the Sierra that we had in Santa Cruz is Tibetan Momos. Sadly, these folks did not have any Momo's, ( Himalayan versions of Gyoza ) They do have a large TV on the screen that I didn't notice at first, and it was playing scenes from Tibet almost like a screensaver. But it had photos of lambs and other farm animals. Very cute. Definitely this contributed to the ambience. It'd be cool if they have door seating, but I didn't notice anything of the sort. Anyway, I'm coming back to Sacramento tomorrow so I'll probably eat here again and find out if they do change up the meals. But all in all this was a good experience. I suppose I can check this website too to find out more. https://www.himalayavegan.com

So nice to find a vegan restaurant not too far from home…read more I loved the easy menu style. Basically: do you want a small plate or a big plate? Soup? Dessert? Simple. Best part is all the food is delicious. We started with 2 bowls of mung bean w/ mixed vegetable soup. It was a true creamy soup, so I put my spoon down and drank it out of the bowl. Sorry manners? Then ordered 2 large plates of short grain brown rice, kidney beans w/ onion & garlic, baked yam, kabocha & butternut squash w/ garlic, collard greens and kale w/ shiitake mushroom sauce, and a mixed salad w/ basil lemon & agave dressing. Everything was very good. My favorites were the kidney beans, the yam combo, and the greens with the basil lemon dressing. We also got a Bahn Mi. Loved that it was really full. I don't like a skimpy Bahn Mi. For dessert, we took home slices of Coconut Pie, Chocolate Pie, Key Lime Pie, and the Himalaya Pie (layered with key lime, strawberries, coconut, and drizzled chocolate). My favorite was the Key Lime Pie -- tart and creamy. Then the Chocolate Pie, which was soft and indulgent. The Himalaya Pie was fun because every bite tasted a little different. The only one I didn't care for was the Coconut Pie because the texture was a bit hard from the coconut fat. One of the best things about this place is that they change things up based on what's seasonal. We travel with our dogs and called ahead to ask about outdoor seating. They don't officially have patio seating, but they kindly pulled a table outside for the two of us. They accommodate well-behaved dogs, and there was a great overhang for shade. We felt very comfortable sitting out there, so don't be shy about asking if you're traveling with your pooches. I briefly saw the inside and it was neat and well organized. I also saw someone bring their own container, which I loved. Definitely a spot we'll return to.

I'm celebrating 16 years of being vegan this week so my family is gracious enough to bring yummy favorites home to me! The chips - The best. Of course we did a side by side comparison with other chips bought at the same time from another taqueria, El Cantaros are what I prefer. The pozole - exactly what I needed added lots of lime and it hit the spot. Combo #1 love the sauce on the enchiladas And I really love the fact that you don't have to worry that the rice has chicken or the beans have lard here. I hope they start making tamales. I also got the Birria tacos. The thing with me is I like a lot of flavor and chili & these were a little bit, not as flavorful and spicy as I would like, but maybe for most people are perfect. I'm just glad that we have these kind of options because they're so hard to find.. The Horchata is also hard to find Vegan many people don't realize most Horchata is not Vegan. I just wish they gave us more salsa and toppings because we got a lot of food but not enough salsa!

We tried the Savory crepe and breakfast burrito and both were super fulfilling - and that panang curry just made them even more delicious. Packed with fresh veggies, sautéed greatly to perfection, they were both very well made with great flavors! The people were really friendly and service was a bit slow but given the food made up for it, its not a problem :D

A hidden plant-based gem above Thai Basil!…read more I love this plant-based spot hidden away on the second floor of Midtown Sacramento. Parking: Difficult, limited street and metered parking. You have to look closely to find it because it sits quietly on the second floor directly above Thai Basil on J Street. You can take the slow elevator or use the stairs to reach a gorgeous, sunlit balcony and dining room filled with art from local creators. Service: A bit slow, but friendly. Space: Tiny and limited, but they maximize the space by fitting in a bar, art displays, indoor dining, and the balcony seating. I noticed the waitress constantly rearranging the table settings depending on the party size. One thing I did notice was that the wood floor in the balcony area squeaks pretty loudly whenever someone walks to or from their table, including the waitress coming in and out. Restroom: One tiny unisex restroom. Recommended: Savory crepe (chickpea, coconut turmeric), Breakfast burrito, Crispy Potato Taquitos, and Blue Butterfly Lemonade. Everything was surprisingly rich and had complex flavors. Definitely a fun little spot to discover if you enjoy plant-based food!

Mother does just that with every menu item. The hardest part for me was choosing what to order, so naturally I over-ordered so I could sample multiple things and have plenty of leftovers for later. The team here was really nice and welcoming and the restaurant is very cute. They have seating for parties of various sizes and some outdoor seating as well. I stopped in at around 1pm on a Friday and it was busy with dine in and take out orders, but not overwhelmingly busy and I grabbed a seat easily. I ended up asking for recommendations and ordered the oyster mushroom Po'boy ($18), the chile verde ($20) and added a fried egg (+3), as well as the butternut squash mac and cheese ($11). While all of the dishes are vegetarian, many of the dishes can be prepared vegan but they don't use any animal product alternatives (like faux meats) instead they let the veggies shine. The Oyster Po'boy was on a soft and fluffy bun and had crispy, delicious fried mushrooms on it with some house made pickles and house made chips. The chips were amazing, so crunchy with the perfect amount of salt. Overall I can see why this is a customer favorite item. The Chile Verde was so flavorful and bright and came with some salad and avocado on the side. It's a filling dish and I definitely recommend the fried egg to bring the whole dish together. The Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese has crispies on top made with the parmesan bread crumbs and is so creamy, flavorful and indulgent. I will be craving this mac and cheese again soon. I'm so glad they moved to this location in Midtown (on K between 23&24) since I'm in this area so often. I'm so excited to try more items from the menu and check in for seasonal items.

My boyfriend is a vegetarian and was so happy to find this gem of a Vietnamese vegetarian…read morerestaurant. I'm a meat lover who can enjoy the health benefits of eating more vegetables. The food was pretty good. I really enjoy how fresh their spring rolls appetizers are. I recommend the one with shredded taro, sweet potato, and tofu! The Bun Bo Hue style dish was like a 4/5 just because the soup was very toned down compared to Bun Bo Hue broths that I'm used to (which are prepared with meat, but are also just much more spicy and flavorful with a strong lemongrass kick). This broth flavor was very muted flavor-wise. It's probably healthier than the meat-version since it's very light and not fatty and heavy like the broth I am used to, so that's a plus. I really like the selection of tofu and soy proteins (a ham and beef vegetarian alternative) included. The soup also has delicious mushrooms. However, what brings my rating down is the ambience. The first time I came here to dine-in back in winter was fine. But for whatever reason, I had such a strange experience this second time around and had to share it so that hopefully no one else has to experience this. The music is the same song on endless loop, which can feel a bit odd. But what was odder was the fact that the restaurant seemed to be a one woman show. The server was taking care of my table (my boyfriend and I were the ONLY people dining in the restaurant), fulfilling the online orders and checking those people out upon arrival, and dealing with the unhoused individuals who were constantly coming by the restaurant for free water... in addition to watching her dog? The service was basically non-existent because the dog kept running out of the restaurant and the server was constantly running after it. I usually base good service on how frequently our water cups are refilled. During the whole hour we were there, both my partner and I had finished our water cups (I finished my water within the first 20 minutes of arrival) and not once were they refilled. It was impossible to even ask for a refill. It took us a solid 10 minutes after finishing our food to get a to-go container and a check. It was hard for the server to be attentive when so much was going on, but it was just not good service-wise. It was honestly such a strange experience, and I will not be coming back to dine-in.
