The friendly staff quickly found us a table and menus and we ordered. We shared some salt and pepper calamari, crisp on the outside and so soft inside. The menu is not huge which I think is a good thing. We ordered the fish pie and the fish chowder, which is not on the menu but a specialty of the house. Both of the dishes were fabulous, wonderful flavours with large chunks of seafood. The other meals coming out of kitchen seemed great too. We would have liked to have desert but we were too full. They have a pretty good wine list with a good few by the glass. This restaurant is not cheap but given the quality and quantity of food it certainly worth the money and the trip to get here. Food was excellent - oysters that were large and creamy and fish perfectly cooked. It's a pretty simple menu actually, but it works. If you don't like fish/seafood this is not the place for you, but if you do then I can highly recommend it. However, oysters are expensive. About $3.80 each. Which means if you want a dozen as an entree it blows the price out quite a bit, but, minimum to order is 4 so you can keep the price down by ordering less. Still, a nice casual atmosphere and a good place to go for a lazy Sunday lunch featuring fresh and well-cooked seafood dishes with good service.

Great price for the amount of seafood. We got the family pack and it was tremendous - calamari, fries, fish, oysters and shrimp. The atmosphere was very fun and friendly as well. These fish and chips are the best we have ever had. The tempura batter was crispy and delicious but left the fish to be king. The calamari was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside - perfect. Fresh as fresh salad full of colour, with great combinations of flavour and textures. Topped off with yummy hand-cut chips. Yelp for the win - once again! We were all craving a great seafood meal so this place came up - we literally had to walk past 20 other places! Great little lunch spot just up from Manly Beach. The fish and chips are definitely elevated; I personally prefer traditional french fries/wedges but loved the tempura style batter on the fish. The free beer upon Yelp check-in was a great upgrade. read more

We came on a Sunday at 1:00P and only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Most tables are on the covered outdoor patio with just a few others inside the open air setting. We started off with a raw plate to share, followed by individual entrées. + SALMON CEVICHE (A$28): Thin slices of salmon in a bright zesty citrus soy dressing, with dollops of avocado cream and lime aioli. The salmon was so smooth, buttery and super fresh. I rarely eat ceviche since I usually don't care for citrus flavors, but I enjoyed this since the salmon remained the star of the plate. + DAINTREE BARRAMUNDI FILLET GRILLED (A$38): A perfectly sized fillet was delicate, moist and didn't have any bones! The skin was grilled and crisp like a chip. Normally, I'm not a fan of skin on fish, but this was impeccable. A few cauliflower florets in a flavorful chermoula added a bold punch. I also loved the salted barra croquette, a fritter of potato and barramundi, which was fried to a golden brown and light inside. All of this was on top of a fresh mint yogurt which rounded out this very cohesive dish. Others in my group enjoyed the swordfish fillet and the fish of the day, which was a mahi mahi. Our waitress enticed us with two desserts which all of us shared as a sweet ending. + DARK CHOCOLATE PARFAIT (A$18): A rich chocolate pudding layered with Queen Garnet plums and topped with large chocolate shavings. The pudding was creamy and rich while the ripe plums added sweetness with a hint of tartness. + TOASTED COCONUT & MANGO CRUMBLE (A$16): A delightful refreshing coconut sorbet came with juicy cubes of fresh mango on top. Some granola crumbles provided crunch and substance to an otherwise light dessert. I never would have guessed this is both gluten-free and dairy-free.
