Several of the bowling alley's in a row

It's been a very long time since I went bowling. Pin setting machines were a big selling feature, then. Bowling alleys had a different feeling. It's gone high-tech with automatic scoring, video games, and a more family oriented atmosphere. This place seems very nice, the staff is very pleasant, it's clean, comfortable and fun. I think I'll be back.

This Bowling Alley is the best in the area. 40 Lanes, and don't get me started on This Places Cosmic!!! I love how when you get a colorful head pin and get a strike you get a free game. The food here is also incredible The Breakfast, The quesadillas, The hotdogs . A FUTURE FOR THE SPORT

A group of friends and myself came here with the intention of not completely embarrassing ourselves by hurling gutter ball after gutter ball. The place was packed on that particular night, but we got our lane a tossed a few games. While no one in the group would rank as a professional by any stretch, we did have a good time. Fueled by draft beer, we continually poked fun at one another's bowling shortcomings. They've got a bar area and some fried foods that'll push your cholesterol levels to an all-time high, but it's all part of the experience. Bowling is alive and well here at Fishkill Bowl.

This bowling alley is top notch! Friendly staff and a clean family atmosphere make this local spot a charmer. Theres a full bar, super clean pool tables, and a pro shop. With a full kitchen at your disposal, make this a one stop Saturday night! Only bummer is not too many people visit during daytime hours so some stuff is closed (kitchen). Overall a fantastic example of a local tradition...

We bring our summer camp kids each season for a bowling experience. Fishkill Bowl is definitely a " total quality" business. It is spotless, the workers are pleasant and highly attentive, and are one step ahead, anticipating the needs of 35 kids and 10 adults. They set up a great buffet area for our pizza lunch ( at other places we lug the pizzas, drinks, etc ourselves from the concession stand). The bathrooms are clean !!! And even have changing tables! They clearly care about their customers and the quality experience they are offering :)!!!!!!!

The young people who work here are terrific! But the woman who runs the place is shady. And the kitchen in gross.

Let's talk about last night…read more We came here to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday with a party of 10. When we first arrived, we were greeted by the employee at the front counter, who was friendly and seemed to be in a good mood. We paid $107 for an hour of bowling and headed to our lanes. About five minutes later, management approached us and said that one of our teenagers had called an employee the N-word. We were told we had to leave immediately and that we would not receive a refund. We were completely shocked. We had no idea what they were talking about, so we tried to understand what had happened. During the discussion, we were told the police had been called. At that point, I gathered my family and waited near the entrance for the officers. We asked for some explanation, security footage, or any details about the alleged incident, but we were told the employee was too upset to come out and explain what had happened. I want to give credit to the officers from the Wappingers police department, they handled the situation professionally and took the time to listen to both sides. After speaking with us and then with the employee, it became clear that she had overheard one of the teenagers using the N-word while talking among themselves, not directing it at her. That is a very different situation from what we were originally accused of. The officer then asked management to contact the owner about refunding our money, and thankfully we did receive a full refund. We left and spent the rest of the evening somewhere else. My biggest issue isn't that someone was offended, it's how the situation was handled. Before getting the facts, management accused our family of directing a racial slur at an employee, called the police, and attempted to remove us without a refund. That was embarrassing and upsetting for everyone involved. I left feeling that the situation was handled far too quickly without a proper investigation or giving our family an opportunity to explain what had actually happened. I hope management reviews its procedures so future customers are treated more fairly before such serious accusations are made.

One thing to know going in is that their open lane hours can be a bit particular, so it's definitely worth checking ahead before you go. It seems like they cater a lot to league play, which makes sense given the community feel. I see people online complain about their lack of availability and if you do a quick search or look at their signage, you can see they have very limited open lane hours. The space itself is surprisingly roomy, with plenty of seating, and I appreciated that people actually respect the rules. No food or outside shoes in the bowling area, and everyone seemed to follow that without issue. Open bowling prices are very cheap. Just be aware it's cash or check only, though there is an ATM on site. Again, just check the hours because as of this review they are only open for a few hours one day a week. One of my favorite little touches is that they print out your games at the end. It's simple, but it adds to that nostalgic feel. Overall, it's not a flashy place, but that's kind of the point. If I lived closer, I'd probably come here regularly just to practice. It's a solid, affordable, old-school bowling spot.

Better version of Chuck E Cheese…read more The best part of the trip to Xtreme Play was the strapped in aerial obstacle course. Geared towards the younger crowd, adults can partake in the play which was pretty cool. There was enough excitement from the various obstacles to provide a thrill, old and young alike. This was definitely the highlight of the entertainment center. Safety wasn't an issue and there was enough supervision even with the additional risks. There are many arcade games but 1/3 of the games seemed to be out of order for my trip. Not sure if that is because of the package my group paid for. Honestly most of the games were stale. The bumper cars were of the kiddie variety and used levers for movement instead of a steering wheel so it was a little less bump which takes away some of the fun. The overall drive space was smaller so the bumps were more like nudges. The scary 3D movie experience also didn't provide the thrill I was expecting. The aroma of buttery popcorn is very prevalent everywhere in the center, so much so that I swear it's on purpose to make you buy popcorn. The pizza was not impressive but I suppose standard for the course. During my visit the wait for the concession lines were really long. The floors were well cleaned and maintained which is a nice change from the normal food stained floors of most kiddie entertainment centers.

Considering the fact that 3 hours of unlimited attractions is $43 on its own, the Level Up package is a deal! Plus, I don't have to limit my kids' activities so everyone is happy. My boys loved the Dark Ride, which is an interactive ride with shooting elements, and the bumper cars. There was also a ropes course, rock wall, ninja warrior course, and a ballocity play area. The only bummer was that the mini bowling was out of order, and I know my sons would have loved that.

Food (when they actually have stuff in stock) is usually good. The bad: Some of the workers could use some customer service training. Bad. A guy named D*ll*s was unnecessarily aggressive and actually MEAN when we asked why they weren't able to combine our points into one card. (We've got points scattered about over a dozen cards over the years.) He insisted that in order to redeem them, we'd have to use them one by one but that points can't even be combined during the transaction to exchange for a higher point item. He shook his head angrily when I asked to speak to the manager to confirm this, bc that's odd - why make it harder for customers to redeem points especially when each card costs $2 before credits are even added. One of the managers explained that the inability to combine cards is a point of service system issue that they've been dealing with but is ultimately TEMPORARY and is location-specific so it isn't a problem at the Danbury location. But like, it's not that serious- we're just going to hold onto the points until this location's POS is updated. The fact that D*ll*s was unnecessarily rude and aggro is more annoying than the points thing. Jeez, he acted like answering STANDARD customer service questions is a burden. So... yeah. He could've just told us that? We're not in a rush to use our fake arcade money.

It is an easy place to spend a few hours with friends, and the spacious layout offers something for just about everyone. While I still enjoy visiting, I noticed that one part of the arcade has changed significantly compared to previous visits. The biggest disappointment was the claw machine section. Many of the machines now seem to rely heavily on payout settings rather than consistent claw strength, making it feel like luck and persistence matter more than skill. I also noticed that a number of the prizes have shifted toward lower-value items like packaged snacks and small novelty prizes instead of the plushes and collectibles that originally drew me to play. Because of that, I found myself spending less time on the crane games than I used to. The rest of the arcade remains the strongest part of the experience. There is still an excellent selection of video games, including Japanese rhythm games, racing games, and other arcade classics that are difficult to find elsewhere. Bowling, billiards, and karaoke also provide plenty of entertainment, making it easy to spend an entire afternoon or evening here without relying on the prize machines. The facility itself is clean, well maintained, and large enough that it rarely feels cramped, even when it gets busy. Staff kept the space organized throughout my visit, and everything outside of the claw machine area felt like it was running smoothly. Overall, Round1 at Danbury Fair Mall is still a fun destination for arcade games, bowling, and group outings. While I no longer recommend it as strongly for claw machine enthusiasts, it remains a great place to enjoy the wide variety of games and activities the venue has to offer.

When we went to pick up our food, we waited for almost an hour to get our food. People who were there after us were getting their food so I went to ask what was going on and literally 5 mins later we got our food. It wasn't great. The fries were good. The chicken fingers and the mozzarella sticks tasted plain and unseasoned. There is also alcohol served with one drink per ID.
