    Bulls Eye!
    Nicole B.

Axe throwing has become one of my favorite things to do! I'm going to put together a girls night just so we can book our own lanes and toss the AXE! Spins bowl is an amazing family oriented entertainment center with bowling, arcade games axe throwing and great fun! They also serve adult beverages. There is so much stuff to do there and I always have an excellent time. And who can pass up wine and pizza pies! It is always very clean and from my experience the staff is friendly! Make sure to check out Charles at the Axe throwing lanes.

It was pretty packed when I went in. The staff was helpful. They have a big selection of bowling balls you can choose from to play your game. I played two games and enjoyed every minute of it! They have a cool arcade except when I went, the Mario kart game wasn't working, which was pretty sad. They have a lot of games to choose from! They also have some cool prizes.

My husband and my birthday boy bowling!!

I recently had a 5 year old son's birthday party here and it was great. We were assigned a young lady to help us, I can't remember her name but she was rocking. It was absolutely ideal because the kids couldn't really break anything, the music wasn't overwhelming and honestly, the food was good. We didn't need anything. She was always available and standing by for Juice and soda, cups and straws. It was honestly the smoothest party I've ever had. We ordered a veggie platter for snacking while everyone was bowling and it was really well worth the money. It had easily a pound of just fresh asparagus on it in addition to other veggies. It was the perfect thing for mom's and kids. The only thing that was difficult was actually setting up the party. I had left several messages with the actual Spins and emailed Corpoarate twice but nothing was moving. I eventually stopped in and talked to Corporate after a staff member got them on the phone for me. I dealt with Laura Palmiero and she was wonderful. She answered every question I had almost immediately. It was as a pleasure dealing with her and my son's party was a huge success. The price was also beyond great. I was expecting it to cost so much more but I had a party for 10 kids and I fed everyone including the parents, I'm pushy that way, and it was well under $300!! It was so easy and I was a guest at a party I was hosting!! Unbelievable!! Thanks guys at Spins and thanks to the wonderfully helpful girl whose name I can't remember, long black hair, maybe 17? She was great. We will definitely be back.

Destroyed target that won't hold an axe

Axe targets were completely destroyed. Made the experience suck. Bar had 1 employee, when there should have been 3. WaIted 30 minutes for a soda. Better places to go for this. Wouldn't waste another trip.

Eh, hit or miss all around…read more Claw games and anime collabs are fun for the kids, and the pool tables are almost always available, which is great. Food (when they actually have stuff in stock) is usually good. The bad: Some of the workers could use some customer service training. Bad. A guy named D*ll*s was unnecessarily aggressive and actually MEAN when we asked why they weren't able to combine our points into one card. (We've got points scattered about over a dozen cards over the years.) He insisted that in order to redeem them, we'd have to use them one by one but that points can't even be combined during the transaction to exchange for a higher point item. He shook his head angrily when I asked to speak to the manager to confirm this, bc that's odd - why make it harder for customers to redeem points especially when each card costs $2 before credits are even added. One of the managers explained that the inability to combine cards is a point of service system issue that they've been dealing with but is ultimately TEMPORARY and is location-specific so it isn't a problem at the Danbury location. But like, it's not that serious- we're just going to hold onto the points until this location's POS is updated. The fact that D*ll*s was unnecessarily rude and aggro is more annoying than the points thing. Jeez, he acted like answering STANDARD customer service questions is a burden. So... yeah. He could've just told us that? We're not in a rush to use our fake arcade money.

Let's talk about last night…read more We came here to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday with a party of 10. When we first arrived, we were greeted by the employee at the front counter, who was friendly and seemed to be in a good mood. We paid $107 for an hour of bowling and headed to our lanes. About five minutes later, management approached us and said that one of our teenagers had called an employee the N-word. We were told we had to leave immediately and that we would not receive a refund. We were completely shocked. We had no idea what they were talking about, so we tried to understand what had happened. During the discussion, we were told the police had been called. At that point, I gathered my family and waited near the entrance for the officers. We asked for some explanation, security footage, or any details about the alleged incident, but we were told the employee was too upset to come out and explain what had happened. I want to give credit to the officers from the Wappingers police department, they handled the situation professionally and took the time to listen to both sides. After speaking with us and then with the employee, it became clear that she had overheard one of the teenagers using the N-word while talking among themselves, not directing it at her. That is a very different situation from what we were originally accused of. The officer then asked management to contact the owner about refunding our money, and thankfully we did receive a full refund. We left and spent the rest of the evening somewhere else. My biggest issue isn't that someone was offended, it's how the situation was handled. Before getting the facts, management accused our family of directing a racial slur at an employee, called the police, and attempted to remove us without a refund. That was embarrassing and upsetting for everyone involved. I left feeling that the situation was handled far too quickly without a proper investigation or giving our family an opportunity to explain what had actually happened. I hope management reviews its procedures so future customers are treated more fairly before such serious accusations are made.

I reminisce arcade video games were always localized at shopping malls. Happy Valley Arcade Bar contains many games and snacks as well as alcohol and non-alcohol drinks are available. There is a coin change machine which was not working. This arcade video game business does contain a bathroom facility. It does provide a temporary mental detox or mental phlegmatic disposition from life's stressors in a casual relaxed atmosphere without judgment and without pressure of looming deadline for quota. There is also a small photo booth which can only fit two people. It was impossible to cramp six adults in this miniscule booth. There is an outdoor patio for seating. I hoped to see Grand Theft Auto, but to no avail. Arcade cabinet games are: Pac-Man 1980 I played for $0.25 and lost at the first round. Donkey Kong 1981 No comment. I did not play. The Simpsons 1991 No comment. I did not play. This depicts violence as Maggie is kidnapped because a large stolen diamond, inadvertently, landed in her mouth during a melee and she begins sucking on it like a pacifier. The rest of the Simpsons family gives a violent chase in pursuit for retrieving Maggie. Mortal Kombat II 1993 No comment. I did not play. Street Fighter II 1993 No comment. I did not play. KungFu Kickball I was on the red team to punch, kick and headbutt a ball into the opponent's bell and won against a good longtime male friend who was on the blue team. The final score 3-2. I feel like Danielle de Barbarac who slaughtered her longtime childhood male friend, Gustave in mud fights. "Boy or girl, I can still whip you!" Danielle de Barbarac in "Ever After: A Cinderella Story" 1998 film. Because the capable woman is never far away as I am right here! Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2002 Wow! This dancing video game reminds me of the movie "The Kissing Booth" which appears exactly as is. Pinball Oh, my inner child surfaces! No comment. I did not play. Pinball games are very classic and simple as the objective are all the same with a carbon steel or chrome steel ball with flippers. It is a game of chance. I would play pinball at outdoor fairs or festivals while eating funnel cake with strawberries. I remember playing Initial D Arcade Stage: Cycraft Edition 2003 where the seat drastically shifted, leaned, and jerked violently sideways to perfectly match the mountain-pass touge drifting mechanics of the motion-simulator racing game. I remember I jackknifed a vehicle! I lost this five minute racing game with my then boyfriend. Disappointedly, this video game cabinet is not available at Happy Valley Arcade Bar.

I was there with about 15 colleagues for a team-building event, and the experience was genuinely impressive from start to finish. We rented a private room from the morning through early afternoon and actually spent about four hours using the space to get real work done before the fun began. Coffee and water were available when we arrived, and the room was comfortable and well set up for meetings, which made it easy to be productive. Lunch was a make-your-own taco buffet, which was delicious and worked well for a group with different preferences. The staff tended to us constantly throughout the morning and into the activities later on. After lunch, we did a scavenger hunt followed by unlimited-play game cards for the rest of the day. It struck a really nice balance between structured activities and free time. Since this was a Wednesday afternoon, it was relatively quiet, which made everything even better -- easy to talk, easy to move around, and no crowds...anywhere. Overall, it was a really nice way to host an off-site team-building day. Well run, attentive staff, good food, and just enough gaming mixed in to keep things fun. I'd absolutely recommend this location for a corporate event or group outing.

Price-wise, it's not bad either - the fun gimmick is that you don't need coins, all of the machines are built to just be playable automatically; you pay by the hour, as you exit the building. Geared towards the younger crowd, adults can partake in the play which was pretty cool. There was enough excitement from the various obstacles to provide a thrill, old and young alike. This was definitely the highlight of the entertainment center. Safety wasn't an issue and there was enough supervision even with the additional risks. There are many arcade games but 1/3 of the games seemed to be out of order for my trip. Not sure if that is because of the package my group paid for. Honestly most of the games were stale. The bumper cars were of the kiddie variety and used levers for movement instead of a steering wheel so it was a little less bump which takes away some of the fun. The overall drive space was smaller so the bumps were more like nudges. The scary 3D movie experience also didn't provide the thrill I was expecting. The aroma of buttery popcorn is very prevalent everywhere in the center, so much so that I swear it's on purpose to make you buy popcorn. The pizza was not impressive but I suppose standard for the course. During my visit the wait for the concession lines were really long. The floors were well cleaned and maintained which is a nice change from the normal food stained floors of most kiddie entertainment centers.
