Great Subs, Great Price, Great owner. I was surprised at how good the subs were for the price. Thanks Fike!

2027 can't come soon enough. Cranberry Wegmans opens…read more On a business trip, put in a bakery order several days ahead of time. Being able to pick up my (large) bakery order and not leaving someone disappointed at home makes me happy. Had my list of must haves. I meandered through all the departments. Wasn't on a time schedule. I spent 2 hours in the store. Found beautiful baby lamb chops. Filets were $6/lb cheaper than my grocery store. Bought beautiful endive. Had to bring home the red wine peppered salami. Coming home, opening the cooler, and handing out foodie presents is like Christmas morning. The oohs and aahs were heard at multiple houses. The staff were very helpful finding my treasures. Wegmans trips make traveling for business worth it.

I have heard my family talk about Wegman's for years but this was the first time I was in town and…read morewent for myself. I found it to be quite a good store, with everything you could want: my weird health-food desires like coconut flour and buckwheat groats (that I usually have to visit specialty stores for); pharmacy supplies; lots of pre-made food; diverse international offerings; plenty of organic and pre-cut produce; flowers, etc. Despite it being my first time, I was able to navigate it without too much difficulty. When they were out of green onions, a friendly worker was able to refill the bin quickly for me (and direct me to the spacious, clean bathrooms). They have tons of checkout lines, only a couple were open with humans; and they have lots of self-checkout too. I mean, it's just a grocery store, but it's a pretty good one!

There are many items that you can't get at other grocery stores in the area, which makes this a must stop if you like to cook. I always get the old fashioned hoagie and I think it's the best hoagie that I've ever had and I've been around.

I called a family who I know are attached to their phones looking for requests. Nobody picked up. I text them, "Nobody picks up their phones ... No Wegmans for you!" My phone then blew up! I came home with fresh pineapple, chocolate chip & double chocolate muffins, AND ultimate chocolate chip cookies. There is so much to see, the variety of products , the freshness of seafood, meat and produce ... I spent two hours making selections. I was in my happy place. The apple doesn't fall from the tree. Stopped at my parents on the way home to share my bounty ... it was childlike wonder as I opened the 3 coolers and we oohed and aahed ... priceless.

There are many things worth noting about this store that are good. But, they are trumped by the…read morestore and the store's workers' and customers' lack concern for each other, their community, and shoppers, and their respect for government or science. There was marginal mask wearing by the employees, about 50%, and about 25% by the customers. Both groups are thus inconsiderate, to themselves and to their customers, and to the related area. Mask wearing is a super easy way to reduce the spread and help us get back to work and play. It saddens me that in this somewhat christian area, known for its churches (many Mennonites work there, and Mennonites and Amish shop there, you can recognize them by their clothing and lack of mask), that they are not being kind, Christian, nor sensible. What would Jesus do? He would wear a bleeding mask. I did speak with the manager who noted that workers had been reprimanded. But within sight of us were two workers not wearing their mask close to correctly! One if left to ask, do they believe in food hygiene even, then? do they believe in food safety? If they won't follow some of the most necessary and visible public safety rules, what do they do when we are not looking? Do they "believe" in cold chain? Do they believe in the pathogen theory of disease? I guess I'll go back post pandemic, but I did lose a little faith in humanity in that the manager (the manager!) felt powerless to enforce public safety on her own employees. I cut my visit short, reported them to the PA Department of Health, and wrote this review. I will also have to be less sympathetic to groups of folks that do not support public health. I left sadly disappointed.

All the items you would expect from a PA country market - ring bologna, ham salad, fried chicken, whoopie pies, fresh baked bread, and bulk spices. Service is very, very friendly and this market is a great shop. A little far from State College for it to be a regular shipping destination but I always stop when I'm in the area. Prices are very reasonable too. Only down side is the produce section is small, but in season lots of the produce is locally grown.

Walmart and Wegmans are their own categories so it really comes down to Weis and Giant for the affordable grocery store option. Giant seems to have a great selection of good foods, things that maybe another store doesn't have. They have a great produce section and nice deli. I've gotten some great deals on family packs of raw meat (chicken and beef so far) so I love that and will definitely go back for their sales. The deli has a fun selection of cheeses and dips, great resource for parties. The staff is generally friendly but were a little bit inattentive when I asked for some help at the customer service desk. They helped me but were distracted talking to each other and just kind of walked away without saying anything once they helped me. Odd. Overall a nice grocery store with good weekly deals. It's clean, mostly friendly staff, you can earn gas points (not sure yet how significantly they help), and it's convenient to get to. Oh, and there's a robot rolling around the store. I haven't quite figured out what it's there for but don't let it scare you.
