I have to drive 45 minutes to get to Wegmans and make sure I make it a bi-weekly to monthly visit. It's always very busy and there's usually a decent wait to get food made for lunch, but they have an adequate number of staff and get your through as fast as they can. There are many items that you can't get at other grocery stores in the area, which makes this a must stop if you like to cook. Came to Wegmans with a plan from 3 hours away. Stay overnight, go to meetings, then go to Wegmans. Filled 3 coolers with delicious morsels that I can't find locally (at home). I called a family who I know are attached to their phones looking for requests. Nobody picked up. I text them, "Nobody picks up their phones ... No Wegmans for you!" My phone then blew up! I came home with fresh pineapple, chocolate chip & double chocolate muffins, AND ultimate chocolate chip cookies. There is so much to see, the variety of products , the freshness of seafood, meat and produce ... I spent two hours making selections. I was in my happy place. The apple doesn't fall from the tree. Stopped at my parents on the way home to share my bounty ... it was childlike wonder as I opened the 3 coolers and we oohed and aahed ... priceless. read more

I love Wegmans, and it's the best large grocery store in the area by far. But it is probably the worst Wegmans I've shopped at. Over time they've systematically reduced their selections, reduced their bread section to almost pointless, and have a huge section of the store perpetually empty to stage delivery and pickup. It's a shame. Now, for actual Wegmans diverse selections (fruits, vegetables, seafood, in particular but also breads and alcohol), i have to drive to Mechanicsburg or State College. For Williamsport grocery shopping, though, i highly recommend. Their selection isn't the advantage it used to be, but their prices are better than the local competition, and they treat their employees vastly better than others. read more

This is a nice grocery store. Very clean, even the bathrooms, and there were friendly staff and plentiful parking available in the lot. There was a good selection of grocery items, and the pharmacy was very busy with a long line. The ready made/prepared meal section had a huge selection - sandwiches, pizza, wings, sushi, salads, and so much more. They have thought through the small details, such as asking if you need utensils. The delivery, right to our car, was quick and efficient. We got a whole sub. The customization features in their app are so well done that it lets you pick if you want to toast the bread only, bread with meats and cheese or no toasting. The sub was warm and delicious, with generous amounts of meat and toppings. We also got a cooked sushi roll, which was fresh and tasty. Wegmans is my favorite grocery store. Wegmans consistently has been voted as one of the top two grocers in the US along with Publix. This Wegmans in Williamsport is really nice with a large sectiion devoted to prepared meals/hot foods. The sushi here is very good, and is moderately priced. One of my favorite parts about this store is the Sub Shop, whenever Im in Wegmans I must make a stop to get a sub. My favorite sub is a Danny's Favorite on White with all the fixings. Side Note: Subs and prepared foods must be purcHased at a separate checkout. Another great thing about this Wegmans is the Aisles are wide. The selection of foods is very good and Wegmans store brand is up to par with the National brands. Starting in January and usually ending in March Wegmans has pork shoulder on sale for $.99 a lb which is a great deal and I stock up my chest freezer. read more

My wife purchased a Shell Gas Gift Card at Wegmans in Williamsport, PA for my birthday. The only problem is there is NOT a Shell Gas Station within 30 miles of our home. I tried to return the Gift card and had the receipt, but the Store would not take it and said it was their policy not to accept gifts cards as return's. This store is huge and seems to have nearly everything! Great selection of produce. Isles are full of mostly grocery related products. Lots of organic items to choose from. A relatively diverse array of ready-made foods already packaged up. Only real downside? I was here during the holiday season and it was constantly packed. Also compared to Indiana, the price of your $10 bottle of wine is going to be $1-2 more. Not sure why. Also the fact that alcohol products have to be purchased at a seperate register is not really posted and isn't intuitive. When I was here in 2016, they had registers at the "entrance" of the made-to-order food and alcohol section, so you couldn't leave without making a purchase. Now they moved the registers over to a far wall near a side entrance, making it easy to bring a bottle outside of the alcohol portion of the store without paying for it. Overall, the store is fine. The hot food bar not so much (at least in the evening). The selection at the hot food bar was pretty typical for a wegmans. However, The food looked like it's been sitting out all day. The sub station seemed to be the popular place to eat based on how long the line was in the evening. The hot wings and pizza were fine. Why don't we have one of these!? Easily one of the coolest grocery stores outside of a Whole Foods. So much selection from gluten free to deli to beer and wine to cheese and meats to pre-made to off the wall to normal and eveything in between. Did I cover it all? It's huge, clean, well lit, and full of everything I could ever want as far as I could tell. It was massive and easily a place I spent an hour in wandeing just becuase I could. Love this store. The produce and meat is always fresh. The way they individually shrink wrap package their meat is my favorite. I love that when I get home I have 8-10 individually packaged chicken breasts ready for the freezer. They have a pretty good beer selection for the size of the beer area. They also do mix and match 6 packs which is cool if you want to try a couple new beers. The bakery is pretty good as well. The place this lacks the most is the sushi and hot food area. So, I was skeptical about sushi prepped by white Americans. My skepticism was well founded. My sushi, regardless of type, was insanely salty, almost inedible, and inedible with soy and wasabi. My hunch is that the white preparers are salting the rice water, which no Asian would do. The result is extremely salty sushi. But if you avoid the sushi, Wegmans is great. read more

Your store has pharmacy hours starting at 8:30AM. However your store is open at 7AM for senior citizens and at-risk people. I chose to shop early because I am a senior citizen and at -risk. With your pharmacy opening later that means I have to go back later in the day just to pick up my subscription. I am very disappointed however in their COVID safety measures - particularly the lack of enforcing the wearing of masks to protect all patrons. I asked an employee why people are allowed in without asks and he said they weren't allowed to say anything. I have been shopping at Wegmans, Williamsport for years and I like many things about the store. However, since the store has been remodeled recently, I have found several things distasteful. One, you have put the bake goods too close to the check out area and there is no barrier to people walking by who can sneeze, cough or shake their clothing into the donuts! There is no side covering. Another area just like that is the salad bar located just several feet from the main walking area people use to get to and from the side door. There is nothing from preventing dirt from getting into the salad from the side. i hope management remedies this soon. read more

When I heard that there was a Wegmans in the Susquehanna Valley area, I was thrilled. Being a vegetarian out in farm country, there wouldn't be much for me to eat. There is a Wegmans near my hometown in Virginia, and I loved it. It was like a supermarket on steroids. There is a huge bakery, prepared food area, aisles of natural foods, and more. It is heaven for gourmands and soccer moms alike. I must, however, compare it to Whole Foods. There are no Whole Foods in the area, but it is a grocery store specializing in natural foods. It is nicknamed "Whole Paycheck" and "Whole Wallet" because of its higher prices. Organic and specialized foods (gluten-free, kosher, vegan...) simply cost more. Those who have been to Whole Foods will realize that Wegmans' prices are higher. Yes, more expensive than Whole Foods. I looked for vegetarian items like seitan and tofu. While they had the products I was looking for, I couldn't justify paying 10 to 30% more. The produce selection was extensive, but the quality was so-so. I expected better for a gourmet supermarket. This is just from my experience, but go earlier in the day to get the best, freshest produce. If you're a rare vegetarian living in the area without budget concerns, Wegmans is the place to shop. I recommend checking out local health food stores as well. Wegmans blows other supermarkets out of the water in terms of the food variety, but not prices. read more

This is going to be a short review as I only went for the prepared food section for lunch. When our bus load of travellers decended into the store, there were already 4 other buses before us! Definitely a favourite place for coaches to pull in around lunch time on their way to Naigara falls from the south. There are all kinds of hot food on offer from soup, pizza to Asian, Italian and Indian fare. There's something to please anyone's palette. Some of my fellow travellers chose wraps which are filled full with goodies and some travellers just had tubs of salads and/or fruits. Whatever your combinations of cold foods, there's no shortage. Hot and cold beverages as well as alcohol are on offer. Please not that you need proof of age to purchase alcohol. There are heaps of seatings after checking your tray of picked up foods. By the way, the price is $8.99 per lb and you pay by weight whatever you have selected, to save , suppose you should choose light weight food? There are outdoor seatings as well which is perfect for us on this beautiful Autumn sunny day. Wow got carried away with this review and it turned out to be reasonable! I am a travel nurse and I was told wonderful things about Wegmans! I was like, "what's the big deal, it's just a grocery store?!" Well...it wayyy more than that! They sell fresh sushi, sub place, an assortment of hot soups, wing bar, DIM SUM, Indian food, Chinese, Italian, home style, Mediterranean, a whole selection of different beers from all over the world...! The list is endless! They even sold a filipino beer, San Miguel, which is usually hard to come by in the states. Wow, this place really surprised me. I tried other grocery stores in the area, giants, weis, and walmart, only to come out empty handed and disappointed! They just didn't carry the brands or the quality that I have come to expect from my grocery store. The prices at Wegmans aren't any more expensive than your average grocery store. They have a pretty good selection if organic goods and a good selection of ethnic food as well. Only con I can think of...it's pretty busy most of the time, but it's worth it! read more

Again no corn muffins, have been told to call before coming to see if there. I have been told this for several days. This continues to be an ongoing problem. Also deli has changed, you used to be able to buy potatoes salad by the pound but now it comes in prepackaged and not in small containers. When this store first opened it was wonderful but since remodeling they have done away with a lot of brands and have a lot more of their brands. Now first of all I have to admit to a bias here. While I like to explore and "rate" grocery stores in my travels, my feeling about this store was affected by the Sunday rush hour in their restaurant area. I was staying at a nearby Hampton Inn and Williamsports restaurant scene did not look promising. I thought "I don't need much of anything anyway so I think I'll walk over to Wegman's" There were dozens of people mobbed around the hot buffet table trying to fill their styrofoam shells with something. I swear I saw two teenagers fencing with plastic forks for the rights to that last meatball. The pizza counter had a line twenty people deep and and the sub shop had at least twice as many people. I give the Wegman employee's credit, they were managing to stay with the pace but for me? This was too much. I ended up buying a soft pretzel and a six pack of diet coke. The pretzel was stale, the diet coke waits until tomorrow. Another note, while walking away from the store, I saw about four or five groups of people, sitting out on the curb on a 95 degree day, gobbling down their food. The first place this reminded me of was a Safeway on the West Coast. This grocery store is pretty big and has a lot of choices. The store was kept very clean and tidy. The prices are decent. They also have a food court, which operates as a food per pound type of system. Although they offer a variety of items, they didn't look very good. They also have sushi, but that didn't look that good either. I ordered a salad from the deli, and it was pretty good. Nothing fancy. Just enough to get me going for the day. Great place to stop for a quick bite! I love Wegmans for grocery shopping and for eating quick food to go. As we were traveling to NY we drove through Williamsport during lunchtime. I have to have gluten free which can be hard to come by. We decided to just stop at Wegmans. My hubby and boys got to have sushi which they love. I got to have spring rolls and fried rice. They also had gf sesame chicken! It was so good. I could eat the pumpkin soup as well and it was creamy and yummy. Tasted like liquid pumpkin pie! I just wish I had a Wegmans near me!!
