Nice Drive, great parking lot, some outdoor seating! Super duper, really nice staff. The guy who waited on us, I didn't catch his name, but he had black painted fingernails. The only descriptor I really have for him, and dark hair. He was amazing! So informative, very helpful, seemed happy at work, in his element. The hamburger I got was great, could use some (more) salt mixed in to give a flavor other than just plain meat. I think it had some pepper. The bbq was ok. The macaroni salad was terrible. I've never had a macaroni salad that was awful, but this was. Maybe they made it wrong that day? I dunno. read more

My colleagues and I went for lunch on recommendation. Supposedly they serve freshly butchered pork. I ordered pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries as side. The staff was friendly and the ordering process was super pleasant. Credit card payment requires $10 minimum, so I had to pay cash. We each paid for our orders and found a table to sit down. 10-15 minutes later, each of our names were called and our food was brought to our table. At the end of meal we clean up after ourselves. Now the most important part: food. The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. The pulled pork, however, was unanimously way too dry. We each had to get 2 more servings of BBQ sauce just to make it palatable. The bread was OK. Overall, a big disappointment. read more

Met some friends there. It got super busy around noon, but it was ok. They have outdoor seating for nice weather. The food everyone had was delicious. The sides Potato salad, macaroni salad, etc were great. The main course was delicious! Be aware this is totally what I would call, picnic style eating. Hogs Galore ruined my rehearsal dinner on 08/17/18. Hogs galore is not a reliable caterer. They did not include necessary items, such as bbq sauce in a bbq order of ribs and pulled pork sandwiches for 30 people. When the mistake was recognized at our venue, Hogs Galore was notified by phone, apologized but offered no solution, other than bbq does not require bbq sauce? Well, in Texas, that is certainly true where the meat quality speaks for itself. However, I can attest with certainty that the meat was very dry and does require bbq sauce at Hogs Galore. Your refund of $10 for forgetting the bbq sauce at my beautiful and elegant rehearsal dinner that I have been planning from out of state for more than a year was simply ruined by food that guests could not eat. I watched with horror as half eaten pulled pork sandwiches were thrown away and very hungry family members who worked hard all day with me that Friday tried to make it more palatable by dipping their ribs in baked beans. My bridesmaids and I headed to The Penn Stater Hotel after so we could actually eat and that bar food was 10 times better than what Hogs Galore gave us. In fact most of my guests went out to eat after the rehearsal dinner, still hungry!!! How embarrassing! Shame on you Hogs Galore for putting us through this and then not driving over to save the day or offering any assistance or ideas whatsoever, obviously you have no pride in what you prepare. If you live in this area, please avoid this bbq place! If their customer service and attention to detail are this poor, I can't imagine in how many other ways this restaurant does not shine. read more

Hidden away off the highway, Hogs Galore offers great value and tasty BBQ. Fast, friendly counter service, a nice selection and great prices. Tender ribs, tasty shredded pork and good sides. Their sauce is a little sweet but nice and smoky. On a nice day, grab a table on the patio with a panoramic view of the PA hills. One of the cleanest BBQ joints I've ever visited. Definitely worth a visit. An added bonus is the attached market offering fresh cut meat, sausages and cheese. read more

We had my brothers rehearsal dinner on Friday night. They are both living in Texas and requested BBQ for their meal. I stopped and picked up their order from Hogs Galore. Once we got to the venue and got everything situated to feed the guests, we discovered our pulled pork and ribs had NO BBQ sauce on it. I called and they said sorry we must have forgotten to put it in the box, we will refund you. So okay, even though it was terrible, at least a refund was coming back our way. Called today just to verify the refund and asked how much was being refunded, she replied $10. Are you kidding me? I said so that was our rehearsal dinner meal, you guys forgot to give the BBQ sauce. It was dry and terrible without the BBQ and you're only refunding $10? She said BBQ sauce is optional and it's cost is only $10, that's the best I can do. So thank you Hogs Galore for not only your negligence in preparing our order, but then for your terrible customer service. Needless to say, we won't be ordering from there again. I would love to give this place a better review being that it's hidden, and connected to a butcher shop. Although I was just not very pleased with my meal. On this trip I had the half rack of baby back ribs and a side of fries. The ribs were so tough, and chewy I'm really surprised they would even sell something this low quality for the price. The fries are your basic out of the bag fries, and the beans are out of a can. The only saving grace was the pulled pork sandwich was ok, good sauce but also a bit chewy in spots. I think this place has a lot of character, and it's cool that it's connected to a butcher shop, and hidden in an industrial park. They also have a nice outdoor patio with a beautiful view. But sadly the food is not something I'm going to rush back for. read more

I kind of want to give it a 3.5... but I'll settle for a 3. Hogs Galore is in a really bizarre location. Prepare yourself for some moments of uncertainty as you drive down a dead-end road through a business/industrial park (especially if you're there on a Saturday evening like we were when everything is totally DEAD). There was also no one else there while we were, although one woman came to get takeout. They have a pretty sweet patio that looks out onto a meadow, and overall I wouldn't say the weird location really detracts from it. BBQ chicken was meh, but everything with pork in it was gooood... especially the hillbilly fries OMG what a genius idea (fries topped with pulled pork and melted cheese... like chili cheese fries but even better!!). The one side dish we got (macaroni salad) was also very tasty. Overall I thought everything was a little overpriced, but not horribly so. Service was friendly, and all three people working came out to coo over my boyfriend's dog and one brought him a dish of water so thumbs up to that! read more

Wow. Gross! I love BBQ but this place was not good at all. The BBQ was super dry and obviously very old (so sad considering they double as a butcher!) They barely give you any BBQ sauce They were out of the first side I wanted so I went with the next side I was eyeing and well, they were out. I asked for unsweetened tea and received Brisk lemon iced tea. And! We got our food and were then informed that the wings my fiancé ordered would "be another 15 minutes". (The ding of the microwave was all it took to know when the wings were done... Ew!) I am so incredibly saddened by this place because I was SO EXCITED to try it. read more

When we were not sure if the one style of bacon was what we wanted the Gentleman cooked us some to try. We have tried the sausage and ham so far. They are Great! We highly recommend. read more

as other reviewers have noted, this is a really strange location for a BBQ joint and meat market. it is located at the far end of a business/industrial complex off route 322. neighbors in this complex include EPA offices, district court and bowling alley. the staff at this casual establishment were very friendly. i think this is worth mentioning because surly service seems to norm at many places. so, kudos for having good staff! Not a fan of the sauce, it is thick and leans towards sweet and smoky. we sampled the BBQ chicken and hot sausage sandwich; both were overcooked and disappointing. however, not ready to write this place off just yet. pork seems to be the meat of choice here, so I will have to come back and give the ribs a try. read more

We went out of our way on our road trip to try the BBQ here. The location is really weird. The sauce was good and sweet but the quality of the meat was tough. We had a pulled pork sandwich and an order of ribs, both types of meat were rather tough, I wondered if they microwaved before serving. The ribs are ok, they must not have had enough ribs in the smoker because half of my wife's were obviously done on the grill (not as tender as the rest and kind of chewy). One of the best hole in the wall BBQ places I've ever been to! Was told to go here while camping about 20 minutes away because of their food and we were not disappointed at all! Received a gift certificate for Hogs Galore at Christmas time. It is about an hour drive from my house, so we made an afternoon of it by inviting another couple to go along. From the name and the person that gave me the certificate, we expected it to be more of a restaurant/bar setup. Found it to be a combination restaurant with a butcher shop attached in an industrial park. No bar, but there is an outside patio area where you can eat, weather permitting. Between the 4 of us, we ordered a variety of items they offer. Obviously, most items are pork themed. They offer bar type food, burgers, wraps, wings, etc. We found everything had a great taste and large portions. The woman that handled our order was friendly, helpful, and patient, as we told her it was our first time there and took a while deciding. The portions received were large enough we ended up asking her for boxes to bring the rest home. I noted they also run daily specials. The eating area had about 10 tables for seating and both this and the kitchen areas were clean and bright. If you are looking for a new place to try, and looking for a no frills place with good food and prices, I recommend stopping in. read more

Hogs catered my wedding in 2015, and it was great. They were one of few BBQ places that could do an on-site pig roast. The food was dynamite. The staff was flexible, and the manager who helped us (Hilary) was incredibly helpful and pleasant--a real pro. Highly recommend. read more
