I utilize their delivery service for my groceries because it's cheaper than me driving there in my truck. Tips should come after the delivery because I'm tipping someone not knowing whether my order is correct. This time around... I got someone else's strawberries and the shopper gave me the wrong kind of Clorox. So with that tip now, I have to drive back and exchange the regular Clorox for the thicker no splash Clorox so it ends up costing me more money than if I had just driven there myself. Walmart Auto Center Benner pike is the worst. I was to have an oil change and they drained the transmission before catching it. They didn't replace the fluid and hide the fact that it happened. My transmission is now shot and is almost $7000.00 to have it rebuild. The manager and Team lead where both there when i picked up my car and didn't bother to tell me that there was a mishap on their part. This happened in may and I am still waiting for compensation. I asked if the insurance would pay for a rental car, which i was told i would have to send them a copy on the invoice. Keep in mind you can only rent a car for 30 days. I don't have the means to pay for a rental car and wait months to get reimbursed for it. Store manager Mike was no help at all when I contacted him, he told me it was an insurance issue. The compensation may be in insurance issue which i have options on them as well. The store manager should be responsible to the customer's complaint and address it, but he doesn't care. I have contacted Walmart Headquarters 3 times and was told i would be contacted, that's a joke because I have yet to hear from anyone. read more

I bought 2 new tires for my Honda Fit. They were put on the front of the car and that was fine. However, after putting the older ones in the back, they failed to put any air in them. I had to go to Sheetz since the back tires were so low. I paid $265, did not show up unannounced, they ordered the tires, I had an appointment, and this was still the best they could do. Much more happened at that time also. I am now banned at all Walmarts. Why you ask, after 18 years of shopping here? After spending $265 on tires, I was suddenly surrounded by 5-6 people from Mgmt., including MIKE MERAGLIA, calling the police for me to leave the store. When I asked why I was told I had called someone "fat and ugly" on May 27. I very much doubt I would have said something like that to anyone. I am 80 years old and recently spent time in Encompass and have used a wheelchair for a couple of weeks. I know who the "old timers" are and like speaking with them since I know I can trust what they tell me. Unlike the newer ones who just say "I don't know". There are many other stores, but at my age, this was where I knew where all my "stuff" was, especially the food for my FODMAP diet. I was not in a wheelchair when this happened, I hobbled there with the cart since I know if I leave the cart at any dept. other than with Danny, the cart guy, it will be left out in the rain unplugged for the next person. I am so embarrassed and disappointed that they did this to me. I recognized none of the people who confronted me in front of the car service department and called the police. They should be ashamed of what they did. BTW, while I was standing at the counter, all five of the Supervisors? surrounded me. I have PTSD, don't ever do that to me, I will strike out and I pushed one of the girls. I have posted this on every Walmart in this area, but guess what, IT MAGICALLY DISAPPEARS! For my experience I would give them a 4 star. Most of the negatives are due to the automotive department, but that makes sense. They most likely hire folks who are under experienced compared to those who own there own businesses or a automotive chain style one. Getting what we needed was a breeze! Everything is where you would expect to find in it's correlating department. In and out in a quick. There was no line for out products to be scanned. And as always prices were low. I have to say, this Wal-Mart is by far the best place to go for pedicures in town. The prices are reasonable ($35) but I've never been disappointed. The husband/wife team who own the business here are super sweet -- friendly without being annoying or overly chatty, and your feet come out smooth and beautiful, what's not to love? As a disclaimer, I must admit that I have ONLY been seen by the owners (and I did make an appointment), so I have no idea what the walk-in service is like. I absolutely detest Walmart, but over here in State College, your options are pretty limited. No Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc. Pretty much, if you want to go to a larger chain, you're stuck with Walmart and Sam's Club. With that said, Walmart sure does make it easy. This place is huge and is basically a grocery store and Target combined. If you miss Costco like me, there is a Sam's Club next door. It's not the same as Costco, and they don't have the awesome polish sausages, churros, and chicken bakes. However, its 99% the same. read more

Wal-Mart employees working in food/grocery at this location (2 in particular) consistently wear their masks either around their neck or below their nose--the same 2 people, every single time I have shopped there. Today, two customers entered without a mask (at two different times) and were allowed in--in spite of no face covering. Called management by phone and "Joe" says there is no requirement for customers to wear a mask at this facility. Will pursue clarification further through PA state offices. read more

The north atherton Walmart routinely has only 1 open register out of 30 possible lanes, & keeps itself concealed from Yelp reviews, although the company knows exactly what they are doing, remaining clandestine from public dissidence intentionally. So in order to trek to this location, I had to download The ecumenical phone application Pokemon Go, which puts a real strain on battery life, predominantly due to the GPS location tracking as well as the Google amount of personal information collected in metadata by the Niantic company (an app that has yet to be Twitter verified). And for those aforementioned reasons, Walking around in the summertime night, wearing a back pack full of phone chargers is an essential prerequisite for users with dependency issues embarking on the digital-matrix-shroom-trip. That's where the Mega-corporation Walmart enters into the scene, with its vast inventory of limited brand selection, usually providing two options for any given item, one of the options typically being Great Value brand, so in actuality it's often times one legitimate option. Having less than 10% battery life I found an electrical outlet in the lobby area and unplugged the claw machine in order to use it, because that machine is rigged and swindled $2 in quarters from me the last time I played it, while trying to capture a mobile phone charger from the variety of cheaply manufactured products made in China. And not wanting to be rude I reply, "Yes, I'm using it to charge my phone as seen by this cord running from my phone into the wall socket," unaware at the time she meant to ask if she could use the charger. As she walked away in awkward silence, a second Pokemon hunting colleague of mine returned from smoking the Newport 100 I had "bummed" him, triggering an epiphany of sorts, causing me to realize that my other comrade was in need of a charger, and that her question, which seemed naive & obvious was actually just a misstatement of how English sentences are typically constructed, which is ironic since she is an English teacher. So I attempted to amend the situation, offering my charger, saying "did you need this? I'm sorry, I don't know how to answer questions without providing the specific information requested." the whole incident felt like an A.A. 12 step meeting, as we waited in slightly uncomfortable silence for more members of our group to reconnect, which happened momentarily as three more colleagues exited the store, joining our coalesce around shopping carts, charging phones, prepping them for our next fix, a shared group experience reminiscent of a conjoint ketamine episode. It should probably be noted that the superstore, Walmart, with aisle after aisle of items for sale, did not have a bicycle light, or at least not the right one, making it difficult for my Pokemon catching friend to ride his bike at night, especially since so many people are wandering around town looking at phone screens with vacant fixation. read more

Like any normal walmart, its nice big. It has a super center, and the veggies are usually pretty fresh, an auto center, beauty salon run by vietanamese people, pharmacy, deli with fresh meats, cheese and ready to eat food ( fried chicken, mac n cheese, pasta, etc). It is conveinietely located near the CATA 'M' ( more busses stop there i think but idk what they are called , sorry! ), Barnes and Noble, Ross, Liquor store, edible arrangements, dollar store, sams club. The location is seriously THE BEST, i always head to ROSS STORES afterwards to do some clothes shopping, then liquor store to grab some wine, and take the bus back to campus :) read more

One of the better Walmart experiences i've had. my only beef with it was the layout of the grocery section. It's a little different than some of the other stores, but the level of service more than makes up for it. DO NOT HAVE YOUR TIRES INSTALLED HERE!!! Do not have the techs touch your car! Tire technician put one of my tires on backwards (directional tire) and even rotated the once and still didn't see it was put on wrong. So with the rain and now recent snow it was now pushing the rain or snow away from my car... wth!!! The technician are rude when trying to schedule my lifetime tire rotation. Only been once but will never go back there ever again to get anything done with my car! That is your only main. Job and you can do that simple thing correctly, really! My biggest gripe is that on a home Penn State football weekend the parking lot looks like a campground and there is NO place for the customers to park. They claim that the fans that stay there spend enough to warrant the campground. I don't think so. This Walmart always looses my business on home football weekends. This review is about the tire & lube. Don't go there. They damaged the oil pan on my sons car and tried to say there was a chunk broken out of the oil pan were the drain bolt screws in when he took it in. It wasn't they did the damage. Almost $800.00 damage parts and labor. Am getting nowhere with Walmart about the reimbursement we keep hearing "someone will contact you" it has been three weeks. Still no word. If it was damaged when the car was taken in they should have pointed it out to him and not change the oil. read more

This store has better management than other Wal-Marts I have used. The staff is friendly and helpful, they have people that have worked there for years that know the products and actually try to help. I love the guys in the sporting goods dept. I have gotten help in Auto, Produce, and the Deli. Very unusual for a big box store. I have ONE BEEF about Wal-marts on-line system, they have changed the Wish List setup for the account I have set up with Wal-mart years ago, It is the biggest convoluted MESS I have ever seen. It is like trying to fill out a mortgage loan application. The only thing it didn't ask for was birthmarks. They also have a slightly different selection, however the grocery section is a little smaller than North Atherton. If I'm on this side of town I like to stop here to avoid the crowds. My most recent visit to this Walmart location was yesterday, 10.25.17. Of the four items on my grocery list, they had two. I did make out better with the "miscellaneous" items on the list. Then it was time to check out...Kelsey, on Register 5, at approximately 3:00 p.m., OBVIOUSLY doesn't like her job! She did not acknowledge my presence, did not smile during the entire transaction, and to top it off, DID NOT even say thank you. I was totally disgusted. I spent $125 at Walmart this week.
