Harpers is a rare gem to have in this area, and we're lucky to have them. The staff are all very fashion-forward, and are all more than capable to send you on your way looking sharper than when you came in. The store itself is very upscale, and feels like a place you'd find on Savile Row (without the Savile Row prices.) Really great seasonal selections, with a lot of well-curated accessories available. Their custom garments are where they really shine however. With hundreds of fabrics, linings, buttons, and styles to choose from, it is always a joy creating something that is uniquely yours. I'm looking forward to my next custom piece.

I reported her at an event. I was attending with one of my close friends when she proceeded to curse at me and my friend when I was questioning her return policy. My friend then asked her did you just cuss at us and she said no, and repeated herself cussing again. This woman is extremely rude. I told her I was going to be reporting her to the business every she was attending and she told me go ahead in a dismissive way. When we were leaving, she proceeded to talk to other customers about us and this situation. This woman should not be in business and after reading several other reviews, I see people have had the same experience. It's unfortunate people have to encounter this kind behavior from a business owner who clearly lacks customer service.

Now in 2026, I can go into any women's clothing store and buy her the perfect sized outfit. While passing through State College PA, I noticed a Talbots. Not an Outlet store but a retail store (There's a difference) After lunch I decided to stop by and browse to see if there are any sales. What a well laid out store! There's no reason for a salesperson, in the back of the store there is a petite section. Perfect! I found so many items, I was looking for summer clothing but all the items are now for the fall. I was able to find a beautiful petite fall sweater. Walking to the register, I asked if there are any discounts? I gave them my email address and was able to receive an additional discount on the already store wide discount. I came back home, my wife loved her sweater which fit her perfectly.
