This is a huge pen state store with lots of souvenirs. This place is dog friendly. They even gave my dog a treat which he absolutely loves. They even have pen state dog toys and bandanas that my dog now owns. They have occasional sales which makes it worth it. read more

I stopped a woman wearing a super cute hat and asked where she got it. She directed me to the correct store - but, of course, they were sold out. So then I proceeded to hit all the PSU clothing stores in search of the hat. Finally found it at the Student Book Store. It was super expensive for a hat. But cute. So I purchased it here. read more

Good selection of merchandise. Would be nice to have a little more name brand merch as the generic merch doesn't fit me very well. Staff is usually helpful and you can find most things from shirts and hats to coats as well as books and other one off stuff. Saw a cool wall clock made from the top of a wine barrel. read more

Still looks the same as it did 30 years ago but it has the most PS shirts and plus it has all your class room needs and it's conveniently located on Main Street. Lots of pics of athletes plus they have a nice mural on the side of the building. read more

The SBS (student bookstore), serves it's purpose as a store for students and tourists. With it's multi floors, has a fairly good price. Overall a great store. read more

We visited the store this past Saturday during Arts Fest, and enjoyed the vast merchandise selection as usual. My purchases included a Penn State logo Under Armour T-shirt for myself, along with a number of other goodies. Unfortunately, upon returning home, I discovered a "pulled thread" defect on the right sleeve when trying on the shirt for the first time. I did not wear the shirt for fear of causing more damage, but wasn't sure how to take care of the issue. I live over two hours away, and probably wouldn't be returning to the area for a couple of months. I decided to take a shot and submit the problem via their "contact us" web page. I sent the problem late Sunday night and early the next morning received the following reply: "Sorry to hear that. You have a couple options...you can send it back with a note inside explaining the problem and we will ship you out a replacement. Or you can wait and bring it back next time you are here..as long as it is in the next few months that would be fine. A copy of the receipt and all your contact info would be great." Now this is excellent, and fast, customer service! Sometimes those fill-in-the-blank "contact us" submission pages are a black hole, and I was a little worried about that happening. The Student Book Store has always been my favorite store to visit when I was younger because they have such a wide variety of apparel to choose from. Now as a student, I have gone back there not only for apparel and other items they have, but they have all of the books I look for at the beginning of the semester. I think it is the best store in town because they have anything and everything penn state related from books to cups to apparel. It really is a great store to go to and it is affordable. read more
