Be careful in dealing with this business! We ordered a bed,…read morechairs, and bookshelves. We told two salespeople that we needed to have the delivery men move the old bed from downstairs to upstairs. When the delivery men arrived they refused to move the bed because there was nothing in their notes about moving a bed. The salespeople never bothered to write it down! So the delivery guys said it would be $60, then $30, then $80 to move the bed. As they were leaving, one of the delivery men said, "If your dog comes near me and bites me, I'm going to kick it." They did come back to finish the delivery, but the owner of the company didn't have the professionalism to call us back! They also didn't know how to set up the new bed we purchased. After spending thousands of dollars on furniture there in the past; we will be buying from another furniture store.

I was given so many options to find the right fit, and didn't feel pressured at all. Ask for Cindy, she's fabulous. I bought a large Stein World bookcase on casters, a beautiful Bassett console, a gorgeous Norwalk ottoman, and a colorful Turkish-style rug. The delivery guys were very professional and careful with all the items. Cindy even came with the truck to see my room and help put everything together! We were so happy with the service, quality, and prices that we went back and got a bedroom set, too. When the bed set arrived, one of the side boards had a small issue, so they replaced it with a new one right away. Really can't say enough about Capparella's!

Avoid, avoid, avoid. The sales associates were great. The delivery guys were great. Everything else…read morewas inexcusably bad. Apparently our sales associate had accidently selected the wrong color for our couches originally, because their systems are a mess(we checked over the order form at the time, twice, but it did not specifically list the color, which is a ridiculous thing), so we quickly contacted them about the mistake after they were delivered. We were told it was not an unusual occurrence and that they would have them switched in a week and a half. This was very upsetting because we only went with them originally because they offered faster delivery than a different, cheaper, place. After us pushing, they got it bumped up a couple of days, but they certainly were not putting in any extra effort to try to make things right on their own. Us having to take more time off of work, for a second delivery, a week later, because of their mistake, should be a time when they apologize profusely, but they absolutely did not. When they finally got there, to deliver the correct color couches, the delivery guy realizes that one was extremely damaged, so then we were stuck waiting even longer and needing to take more time off, to finally get the right couch. When contacting customer service, they have been nothing but rude and incompetent. Another reviewer absolutely nailed it in saying that they treat you like a nuisance. We were told that they could not do a thing until the right couches were delivered, but even after they were finally delivered, over 3 weeks ago, they have been fully dodging and ignoring our calls(which they told us to make to them, so they could "make it right"). I wanted to love this store and had such high hopes, but this process was completely horrible and they have not offered us anything for the trouble, not so much as compassion. I would also suggest avoiding their outlet items even more because we were told to go ahead and use the wrong couches the whole time they were left at our house. We did not, but I'm sure other people do, with much less regard for them, than they would have for things they would be keeping.

I was sitting on every chair and splaying myself across each couch to test the comfortability, he went back to the computer multiple times and checked many finance options for me. He is fantastic. And great selection of furniture. A little high priced on some things but it's a college town.

I went to get a bike since I'm a new graduate student here and need a way to get to campus. First…read moreof all, LS has been closed since March because of COVID-19. They have new limited hours 10-2 Tuesday-Thursday, which is all fine and dandy until you show up at 10am that first Wednesday and the place is so crowded it's almost hard to look at the bikes. I was pretty upset that they could not operate at normal hours so crowds would be more dispersed, or that they had better crowd management and social distancing implemented. For being part of the university, I was extremely disappointed and frustrated just by their handling of COVID that day. I hope it isn't that bad now that all freaks have gone in for the stuff they couldn't get for 6 months. (Keep in mind they do only allow 10 people in the actual building at once, so these 30+ people were outside, way too close to each other and blocking major paths for other shoppers. I only looked at the bikes, of which they had a lot, because they were outside and that's what I needed. ALL of the female adult city bikes were in bad shape. Rusted chains and gears, brakes either way too loose or not connected right, need it replacement tubes and/or tires, and i thought the prices they were asking for them were ambitiously high for needing so many repairs. Some were good quality and appropriately priced but as those things work, none of them were my size or style so I walked away without a bike. Overall a very bad experience for my first time at LS. I expect to go back maybe when they expand their hours and the virus isn't as prevalent, but for now I'm even more upset with the university than before. Oh well.

Great place for hard-to-find furniture and other office items…read more Avoid this place like the plague if you're shopping for older computers and computer accessories, as they have no clue what that junk is worth. However, if you're up for a DIY project and need some sturdy furniture and random items in which to start, you can't beat this place in town. Great location to get old chairs, tables, desks, file cabinets, and other random goodies. If you don't mind a little work on your part, you can restore some of these classics to good, working condition. In the Spring of 2014 I picked up two vintage, black office chairs with wheels. Solid steel frames with steel casters. The underside was dry-rotted away, but the fabric and spring webbing was still in good condition. Probably dates from early 70s or late 60s, I gave those chairs a deep steam cleaning, removed the underside, and polished the chromed steel to a shine. I also picked up a square table with a nice poly-sealed wooden top and a thick, sturdy steel leg in the middle, that branched out to steel cross-legs at the bottom. It looked custom built, not something you'd find from a wholesaler. I bet Penn State's OPP built them, and when they build stuff, it lasts for decades. Wonderfully overbuilt. A deep scrubbing and some polishing was all that was needed for the table.
