I called customer service in Maryland (no PA office?) and they said the driver had spoke to me (he did NOT) and was handling it. Still no word from ANY of them. Customer care said maybe Friday. Meanwhile all our food from the old fridge has gone bad. Hundreds of dollars of frozen food we justcould not keep cold. I would NEVER recommend Lowes in State College PA unles you ont need delivery.

For several years we have struggled to find a perfect plant choice for a rather large area in our back yard. We also had several beds that needed some bushes. This year we reached out to FOX HILLS GARDENS for an on-site consultation. Holly was the person who came up to hear our concerns and make suggestions. After she assessed the area and took measurements we were quite happy with her ideas and she invited us to stop by the GARDENS to look at the plants she suggested. We loved what we saw and signed the contract. Jesse and Hannah were the team that came to install the plants. We could not believe their preparation of the planting sites before even one plant was dug in. It was so clear that our new plants were going to have a happy time adjusting to their new home. Our next pleasant surprise was how meticulously each plant or bush was positioned and planted. What an extraordinary team and done with such care and attention to detail! We are so grateful to have met these plant professionals who have made our property so much more beautiful. We will definitely be return customers to FOX HILL GARDENS over the coming years.

Excellent social distancing. And btw, the plants arre wonderful. We just filled our porch planters with a variety og grasses, ferns, green perennials, and flowering pkants. I didn't take a picture at the Gardens, but did take some pictures of the finished product at our home ( the porch pkanters are a reproduction from the original porch that was torn down and reproduced from a 1927 photo last year)

There must be a reason that the parking lot is always empty when the one at Lowes is quite full. I found a grill at Home Depot several weeks ago and decided to make a purchase. When we were about to load it in my car we realized it had a major dent in the back. I told them I would no longer take it without a serious discount. THey offered me only 10%. I told them that I would then need to go elsewhere. I went elsewhere, paid only a little more and was more pleased because the product was perfect (with better service). THey had the opportunity to make me happy and instead caused me to go elsewhere. It is likely that they later sold the grill for considerably less than 10% off due to the damage on the piece. Common sense did not prevail. read more

The state college Home Depot always accommodates our family's needs when needing items. Seems like most of the staff is familiar with store layout when you need something in a hurry. Saturday's they have the farmer's market there & Home Depot gives out cold bottled water and hot dogs, we love going on Saturday's. Although we bounce back and forth between Home Depot and Lowe's depending on our needs, I do recommend Home Depot if you're out on a Saturday morning! read more

One wonders why this retailer opened an inferior store across from Lowes. I tried to buy a grill from them and found it to have significant damage when I was checking-out. Their unwillingness to offer a discount caused me to go elsewhere. read more

Johnny Baker was very congenial, patient and helpful in letting me "test-drive" all of their models, answering my questions and explaining what I could expect. I ordered my recliner on a Saturday, and it was delivered this morning - 11 days (8 business days) - after I ordered it. The delivery team was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. They set up my chair, made sure it was in good working condition, and even took the one piece of trash (plastic that held the mechanism) out of the house with them rather than put it in my trash can. I give this store and their customer service 5 stars and recommend them based on my experience with this purchase. -- I don't know why Yelp has posted my location as San Francisco, CA. Apparently our sales associate had accidently selected the wrong color for our couches originally, because their systems are a mess(we checked over the order form at the time, twice, but it did not specifically list the color, which is a ridiculous thing), so we quickly contacted them about the mistake after they were delivered. We were told it was not an unusual occurrence and that they would have them switched in a week and a half. This was very upsetting because we only went with them originally because they offered faster delivery than a different, cheaper, place. After us pushing, they got it bumped up a couple of days, but they certainly were not putting in any extra effort to try to make things right on their own. Us having to take more time off of work, for a second delivery, a week later, because of their mistake, should be a time when they apologize profusely, but they absolutely did not. When they finally got there, to deliver the correct color couches, the delivery guy realizes that one was extremely damaged, so then we were stuck waiting even longer and needing to take more time off, to finally get the right couch. When contacting customer service, they have been nothing but rude and incompetent. Another reviewer absolutely nailed it in saying that they treat you like a nuisance. We were told that they could not do a thing until the right couches were delivered, but even after they were finally delivered, over 3 weeks ago, they have been fully dodging and ignoring our calls(which they told us to make to them, so they could "make it right"). I wanted to love this store and had such high hopes, but this process was completely horrible and they have not offered us anything for the trouble, not so much as compassion. I would also suggest avoiding their outlet items even more because we were told to go ahead and use the wrong couches the whole time they were left at our house. We did not, but I'm sure other people do, with much less regard for them, than they would have for things they would be keeping.

Their employees have always been very helpful, if not slightly perplexed with helping me find my requests. If I'm looking for a home or garden item, my first stop is always tractor supply. The employees who work there actually know what they sell and where to find them, so a hour trip to other said stores only takes 5 minutes here. In response to the other reviewer, I have never experienced violence in the parking lot or in the store - though one time a pullet squawked at me without provocation. I was slightly startled, but quickly got over the incident. In retrospect, I probably was the one who caught the bird unaware as she was in the middle of a preen and I humbly extend my apologies.
