I…read morehad actually walked in to initially ask a question about a Fall Festival that was advertised in the local "magazine." (I'm from NY and had never been to this part of PA). I was told, rather rudely, that the festival is held the first TWO weeks of October, and I was clearly mistaken that it was happening this weekend since it was already the third week in October. I explained that I had read about it and was told, "no, you are wrong". She then went on to say the way to remember it is that it is the FIRST TWO WEEKS of October every year! Ummm, I'm here for the weekend and probably won't ever be back, so I really don't CARE if it is held every year. I only cared about this year! I can assume that this was the owner because, looking at pictures online, I saw her nametag and recognized who was speaking to me in such a derogatory way. Another man appeared; not sure if he was an employee, but he was kind. He said it was a mistake that could easily happen. I said ok, is there anything else happening around here this weekend? The owner suddenly went mute and didn't say a word, and this man didn't reply either. It was like I was invisible, and I was totally ignored. Hmmmm, that's not a great way to do any business! At that point, I left, feeling like an idiot. About a half hour later, I RETURNED to the store after finding the exact same local Bedford magazine in the town. I talked to another employee who looked at the magazine and said oh my, THEY MADE A MISTAKE and put the date for the festival as THIS weekend in here, but the festival is over. It's a typo, and I'm SO SORRY!! I told her she didn't have to apologize to me, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy! She was very sweet and then said there is a Pumpkin Festival happening in Old Bedford, a few miles away. She also said you are free to shop around our store as well! I thanked her but thought there was no way on EARTH I would give the owner my business. Yes, you have a lovely store but calm down--you are located in a small little PA town. Your snooty attitude wouldn't last 10 minutes in a big city!! **PS the Pumpkin Festival was awesome, and we had a great time! This witch of an owner did NOT spoil my day!!

Employees, and owner, look down at you and speak that way to you while in the store as if you they…read moredo not care if you are there, or not. If you do not purchase anything you are even talked about as you leave the store with genuine disregard for your respect and dignity! They might have 'high-end' clothes for that area of the world, but let them get out of that small town and come into the real world where the owner will quickly realize how insignificant they really are in the world of they ever left Bedford County!
