But when we asked one of the workers why it takes longer time to get food for people waiting there, he replied they make net orders is priority so people who order from in the store should wait. OH OK??!!! We thought it wasn't the right way to make orders. Regardless how the orders come, it should not make any priority to serve. So if you are in hurry, order it from their website so you won't have to wait for it!!!! I guess food is depending on the cooks, every time we get clam chowder, it tastes different. Let me start by saying that this place is a gem. I have been in other fish markets and the first thing you smell is like fish. But not in this place, you can't tell it's a fish market. A great place to grab a delicious seafood meal. The seating is limited to about eight or so tables. We all had razor clams and thought they were terrific. Several distinct types of coleslaw available, we liked the lime/cilantro. It is a market as well, of course. Everything st the counter looked very fresh. Since it is a regular market the atmosphere is completely 'come as you are' and relaxed. Many other customers were just regular folks who dashed in for take out. I have always had really great food here and I have been going since the 80's. I have to say the crab cakes today were positively awful. They were a soft pile of mush shaped into 2 patties. They were not grilled or even warm. They had no flavor either. I am completely mystified what happened here. They were very busy. I should have sent them back but as a former restaurant manager I sympathize with off days. This was way more than off. DAMN, 15.00 for two patties of flavorless baby food. It's the complete opposite but the staff are both friendly and attentive. Their smoked fish looks amazing in person and their menu is typical of a fish and chips place. However, we decided to order their grilled fish tacos, smoked salmon salad, and drunken clams. The fish was a generous size for the tacos and drunken clams were perfectly cooked. After a long day of hiking, we came here to gorge ourselves silly. The two of us had the smoked salmon chowder, fisherman's platter, fish sandwich, oyster shooters and crab cakes and beer. We finished everything but the fisherman's platter, not bc it wasn't good but we ordered a lottt even for our standards. I loved everything and everything was fresh and it's always a good thing when you see locals eating and the place full even around closing time (I was hesitant to go eat seafood around closing time).
