    Three medium crabs
    Lena M.

This was our first stop on our Maryland weekend adventure. We drove up from Richmond straight to Fisherman's Crab Deck (conveniently next to our Hyatt hotel). My dad lives near Annapolis and told me this was the best place for crabs. I'm so happy I listened, I ordered three medium crabs and they were beyond delicious. They were meaty, sweet, and practically heaven. We were a group of four and were seated immediately. Our orders were also taken quickly. My friends ordered some drinks and enjoyed those. They also got the seafood nachos and fish and chips and kept raving about how delicious they were. My crabs were perfect and I was happy that I was able to order under the 1/2 dozen advertised. They gave me all the tools I needed (mallet, knife, and cracker). There were plenty of parking spots available. This restaurant is also huge. There is a dock nearby too so you can park your boat with ease for lunch. I loved that they had a sink out in the restaurant as an option after devouring crabs. I highly recommend coming to this spot for incredible seafood.

First time here, usually I'll be at another spot before the bridge. But decided to take a friend's recommendation and glad we did. Def worth crossing the bridge! We were looking for steamed crabs outing on the water or a nice water view, yep we found one! We forgot to put ourselves on the waitlist, however the 25-30 mins wait ended up to be under 20mins. We grabbed drinks at the bar while we waited. I got mudslide which I drank like a shake.. lol and my friend got Peach Crusher. From the look of it, she finished it before we got to our table.. so must be good! Now onto our food, we ordered: * 1/2 dozen large Crabs at $45- 5/5. So so meaty I don't know how many times I've said that and not overly seasoned. Served with butter and acv. We plan to come back for a dozen next time! :) * Crab dip - 3/5. Not quite what we hoped for since it's almost more cheese part and barely taste the crab unfortunately. * 50/50 soup -5/5 . Was plenty of crab in it and came w saltine crackers. * Gulf Shrimp - 5/5. It might be typical steam shrimp w cocktail, however they are fresh and good size. Would order again. Our server was also attentive, checking in here and there and took away our dirty plates right away. We already plan on coming back before the season ends!

I'd never been to Kent Island/this area before so I was excited when my bestie and I found this spot. Let me say this now: PUT YOURSELF ON THE WAITLIST BEFORE YOU GO! You can do so online. We joined the waitlist 35-45 minutes away and still needed to wait for 20-30 minutes. Drinks: -Rum Runner: Good and strong - wish I'd started with this. -Cocolada: very good. Blended, pre-mixed drink. You're going to need to add a shot to feel anything -They only have Pepsi products (sigh). Food: -Shrimp and crab nachos: STAR OF THE MF SHOW! These were addicting. Big portion and so damn filling. Lovedddddd. 5/5 -Ceviche: not real ceviche at all (see photo). More like chopped ahi with marinated cucumbers and a couple avocado chunks served with chips. Fish was fresh but I wanted ceviche and this wasn't that. 3/5 -shrimp cocktail: pretty basic. Steamed shrimp served with cocktail and sprinkled with old bay. 3/5 -blue crabs: half-dozen large ran us $45. The largest seemed a bit small, in my opinion. They were males and well cooked, though. Could probs use more seasoning. 3.5-4/5 Seafood Mac and cheese: just looking at this made my stomach hurt. It was expensive AF and the sauce looked similar to the nachos. Couldn't even eat it because it looked like it would send you to the restroom. Big portion, though. Fries: Okay. Pretty standard. 3/5 Ranch: they have some goooddddd house ranch. 5/5 They don't have mussels here, which I feel a way about. For the items above, plus three drinks and flounder to go, it was about $220. Honestly not too bad. I'd come back but I'd order strategically. Vibes: we ate outside. Right on the water. Good vibes! No birds or creatures disturbed us. Water was clean (no debris) nearby. Service: 3/5. Our server wasn't as attentive as we'd hoped for and we often had to wait a while to order more drinks, ask for boxes, etc.

I had a great first experience at Fisherman's Crab Deck and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back waterfront spot with friendly vibes and great appetizers and drinks. First off, the customer service was fantastic--our server was attentive, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The atmosphere is casual and fun, and the view from the deck makes it even better. As for the food, there were several standouts: the hush puppies were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, and the French fries were hot, perfectly seasoned, and addictively good. We also tried a few of their drinks, and they were excellent--refreshing, well-made, and served quickly. One small area for improvement: we ordered a half-dozen steamed crabs, and while they were cooked well, we noticed that two of them were very wet inside, which made them a little off in texture. Also, the crabs seemed to lack seasoning, which was surprising given how flavorful the rest of the food was. A little more spice or Old Bay would go a long way in boosting the flavor.

Fun atmosphere and great staff. I enjoyed the soft shell crab sandwich. Light breading and delicious. The two misses for us were the scallops and the crab dip. The crab dip was 95% cream cheese and barely any crab which was disappointing because we come to Kent narrows to get our crab fix outside of the city and the scallops were small and under seasoned with an odd texture. Overall we will be back but we know the items to avoid.

    Crab roll

I had not been to the Crab Deck for several years. Nothing much has changed, and that is great news. We sat under cover since there were some rain showers today, but everything is still open air. My friend arrived first and asked the server what he recommended for a shared appetizer. He suggested sharing the crab roll, off the handheld part of the menu. It came on a buttery roll (like a lobster roll), with generous portions of crab mounded high. Amazing. With chips, half of it was so filling that I ordered the popcorn shrimp app for my main. It was a birthday, so we shared the Key Lime pie for dessert, which was scrumptious. Great food that came out promptly and very attentive service.

First time here stopped in for lunch. We were about 10 minutes before they opened and welcomed us in early. Sat on the deck with a beautiful water view. Ordered drinks and crab dip and cream of crab soup which was delicious. Decided to get crabs so they only had lg and jumbo so got the large. Well they were not kidding they were huge. Very tasty and every one of them were packed with meat. Great first time experience. Highly recommend.

Food- We came for the crabs and were not disappointed! We ordered a half dozen medium and large. They were both heavy and flavorful. Needing very little butter or additional old bay! We also had the mango strawberry daiquiri! So good! Service - Our first server did not provide all of the information about the sizes of crabs that were available and when asked about it, responded by telling us she didn't tell us because if we didn't think they were the right size, we couldnt send them back. What?? We should have been given all of the options and didnt appreciate having someone make judgments about who we were as soon as we sat down! Not a good way to start a meal. So we requested and we're given a new waiter! Rick was amazing! He gets 5 stars. We graded down because of the awkward start. Atmosphere - right on the water with covered seating, it is the best of both worlds. You get great views of the bay without having to sit in the sun.

A local tourist staple in Kent Island, this is the place to bring your out of town family for picking crabs. They have good jumbos, and they're priced about the same as the other crab houses. LOTS of available parking and seating during season. Fisherman's has been there as long as I can remember. They do have a large menu for those who don't pick (like me) I recommend the fish and chips. Inside is like any crab deck, just TONS of space. The service is pretty good, and they kept the shell bucket emptied. Good place if you like crabs.

    The hot crab dip 6.2/10
    JJ C.

The atmosphere was great, the restaurant/bar is located right in the water with some great views while you enjoy your meal. The locals and tourists groups hit this spot hard and for good reason. On top of a great meal there is a small store setup by the front cashier where you can purchase stickers, t-shirts, hoodies and more. They also have a souvenirs shop in the parking lot. If you're looking for some photos they have plenty of spots to grab great shots from and they even have a duck pond next to the outdoor seating area. Now the reason you came here to read the review, the food. I ordered a few things off the menu to get an overview of their place. While I didn't take out the mallet and crack open some nice crabs I did find some other gems worth getting. I started off with the Creamy Crab soup, if I could build a pipeline from their place to my house for on demand service I would for this soup. It was rich, full of flavor and tons of crab meat. It comes with saltine crackers. Its rich complexity and smooth finish made you crave this soup by the gallons. If you want something lighter they do have a vegetable crab soup in a thin red tomato based soup, you can also get the 50/50. I rarely ever give a 10 out of 10 for items as they truly have to exceed all expectations and this soup came so close with a 9.9/10. Next I ordered a southern staple Hush Puppies, they're served in a massive portion of tiny balls and they pack a flavor explosion that blew me away, it comes with butter but I had to dunk them in my crab soup and it somehow made the soup exceed a 10/10 becoming somewhere around a 20/10. The hush puppies were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and just perfect bites of food. Again I gave these also a 9.9/10. I would've loved to give them a 10 but honestly that would mean no flaws and it's rare to find. Next up was the hot crab dip which was served on a roll topped with cheddar cheese. The flavor was a bit odd and I didn't care for it much which is a shame because Hit crab dip is one of my all time favorites. While it had plenty of crab, the off putting tang just turned me off. Rating 6.2 out of 10. The next dish was a Maryland staple the amazing Crab cakes, here it gets tricky with crab cakes, most just let the meat stand for itself and those are amazing. Then you get the weirdos who add breadcrumbs, peppers and other nonsense that should never be in real crab cakes. Unfortunately for this place while it was the first someone in the kitchen decided to ruin it by added herbs and spicier to the broiled cakes. Such a disappointment as if just left alone and allowed the crab meat to speak for itself it would've been a 10. Instead it got a sad and disappointing 8.9, it got that score because they for the most part kept it traditional, the herbs and spices lowered the flavor, taste and enjoyment of the crab. It does come with two sides I got the Cole slaw which was disappointing and the red potatoes which were good. The finale a slice of key lime pie, the perfect finish to a great meal. The pie was chilled not frozen, silky and smooth just the right balance of tart and sweet. I can't give it a 10 because that's reserved for the original makers, but this is a top 3 outside of Florida and it scored a solid 9 out of 10. Overall I highly recommend this place for any seafood lover. If you're in Maryland and by the Chesapeake Bay definite stop in, it's worth the possible 35 minute wait for a table. You will leave happy and full. I know I will definitely be back on my next trip to DC or coastal Maryland.

Can somebody say Kent Narrows Brewfest! We had a really good time at this event. Plenty of brews, as well as ciders, were available for tasting. Now, for some folks, the small mug that they gave you might have not been fulfilling. It actually was perfect for me because it controlled how much you consume, and I get tipsy from the smallest amount. So I was good. I loved that this was held indoors just in case it rained. They had about three food trucks available. I loved it was right over the water. The views were amazing. Also everyone was so friendly. Could it possibly have been the alcohol??? I'm just kidding. They were nice regardless. I would love to come back and sit on the deck while enjoying some crabs. Definitely plan on returning. Especially since warmer weather is in the forecast!

Being new to the Kent Island seafood scene we decided to check this place out as I love eating seafood outside on the water. It's a hike for us but worth it! The view was absolutely beautiful. Definitely get on the list online if there's a wait. Yelp reviews suggested the seafood nachos and this was one of the best apps I've had in a while , a must get. We got large crabs which were very meaty. I prefer more seasoning on mine but they have extra seasoning on the table so we were all good there. I'm usually just okay with orange crushes but these were spot on! The best thing... prices were not too bad. We are used to paying much more for crabs our side of the bridge.

    Chicken caprese salad
    Sue H.

Made a quick take out order of a chicken caprese salad to eat on the way to the airport. Although the dressing choices were packets this was a GORGEOUS salad. If the tomatoes had a better texture it would have been five stars. Bravo to the friendly competent hostess who took my order and brought it out promptly when ready. Nice chicken portion, thick slices of burrata. It was very tasty.

View from my table on this rainy evening. The breeze feels great.

There's further indoor seating for another 80, and seasonal outdoor seating with water views for at least a hundred more! The bar area is self-seating, and it was pretty quiet on a Sunday early-afternoon (Jan 2026). Their friendly efficient staff took our drink orders immediately from their creative cocktail menu. We had a $12 Pomegranate Manhattan from their Classics: Louisville Old Forrester bourbon and bitters, gently sweet from tinted pomegranate juice and lightly flavored with a mild rosemary simple syrup. This was a delight! Our designated driver liked the quiet sophistication of the $8 spirit-free Cranberry Rosemary Spritz from their Mocktail list. They offer a wide range of seafood and American fare, with mains and sandwiches from $15-$40, plus soups, salads, and a kids menu. We had a bright fresh $15 Harvest Salad, a generous patch of light tender baby kale, bright cubes of soft roasted butternut squash and fresh walnuts, sprinkled with creamy goat cheese crumbles and sweet pomegranate seeds. We got their tangy maple vinaigrette on the side. A tasty fresh refreshing salad. And we went for their $19 "new" Fried Flounder Sandwich, crispy lightly-fried sweet tender flounder on white bread which they toasted for us. It had fresh lettuce and plenty of tomato slices, and a light layer of tartar sauce. A delicious crunchy handful, which we got with a generous side of piping hot lightly crispy fries. We loved the quiet cool of the place and the delicious food, the amazing water view, the attentive staff, and the chance to catch the afternoon football games on two TVs over the enclosed bar. A perfectly pleasant Sunday afternoon. It's easier than it sounds below to get to Dock House at exit 41 off US-50, just west of Kent Narrows, just off the public boat ramp under the bridge. There's plenty of parking east of that huge boat-storage building for several shops. Dock House is in a separate building at the north end of that parking. Or you can dock your boat there for free. TLDR, well, maybe read once: If you are westbound, Exit 41 just after of the Kent Narrows bridge puts you on Piney Narrows Rd, and you keep straight until you are nearly under US-50, then turn left to the boat ramp. If you are eastbound, from Exit 41 take a left on MD18 Main St and take the next left under US50 onto Piney Narrows Rd, just west of the Kent Narrows bridge, then an immediate right to the public boat ramp. Either way, in the ramp's parking lot you turn left, away from US-50, and keep to the right around the huge boat-storage building. Really, the first time you do it, you'll find that the only trick is to see that turn off Piney Narrows Rd towards the boat ramp.
