Delivered as promised. Stuffed, heavy crabs full of sweet meat. Not a bad crab in the bunch! Thank you. I will be ordering again.

One of my favorite crab houses in the Eastern shore. Came here during Memorial Day weekend and was…read morehappy they had Jumbo crabs. These were priced at $174 a dozen. They were so good, really heavy and full of meat. We usually just stick with their crabs, so haven't really tried anything else. Their hush puppies are good and plentiful. Great place to grab crabs just a couple miles from the Bay Bridge. They recently renovated so the place looks great.

For some reason, we had nostalgic memories of this place, but it turns out that we pretty much had the same exact three-star experience. We just really wanted to bring our daughter back here since this spot in America plays a significant role in family lore. Unbelievably, it was raining again, but we waited for a table right by two windows, so water vibes were good. We got a couple local beers and while our server was nice, she also had a bit of an unceremonious manner that took us off guard. Not her fault, but we were total idiots and ordered the medium crabs. Why? WHY?! They are impossible to pick! And we even mentioned in our previous review the merits of ordering the jumbo ones to make life easy. Amateur hour!! We did order a few other crab-themed dishes, which made the meal more pleasant. The imperial crab was only OK, but the crab cakes were really something special. We got one fried and one broiled, and we would definitely recommend the latter. There was so much fresh crab and neither of them were greasy. As far as sides, the veggies were drowning in butter, and the corn on the cob tasted like it was cooked in a microwave. Fries were decent and the hush puppies weren't bad, but you know those came right out of a Sysco freezer bag. We got those nutter butter ice cream cone things again and they were terrible. The shell is hard as a rock and so is the flavorless vanilla ice cream underneath while the cone is rubbery soft. Quite the feat. Despite the ups and downs of the cuisine here, we had a really pleasant time as a family, and this place will always hold a soft (shell crab) spot in our hearts. While it's doubtful that we'll be back again, we're glad that we gave it a second go. Just remember: never order medium crabs!

The view is gorgeous, and they have a perfect covered patio setup where you're technically "outside" but entirely safe from Mother Nature's mood swings with beautiful marina views of the water. The drinks are inexpensive, strong, and plentiful, but they will hit you with the expensive drink seafood prices. I was pretty bummed to finding out they didn't have crab balls on the menu....But they literally have crab everything else, so I forgave them. Plus, they served up the absolute biggest, juiciest, most thick-thighed snow crab legs I have encountered on the entire island. Top that off with the table seasoning (not old bay, old bay) Definitely worth the stop!

With such a lovely day out, we decided it definitely called for crabs and hammers - and it seemed that most of the other tables had similar thoughts as there were paper covered tables with crabs all around us. Very fresh, meaty crabs (we did 6 large between 2 of us) at a reasonable price - that was better than some of the other area crab houses. Happy to see that they had options for non-alcoholic drinks that were not only soda. I tried a non-alcohol orange crush which was made with fresh squeezed juice and so refreshing. We got a side of fries and plenty of paper towels too. Perfect place for a fun evening, especially when you're on vacation. Would definitely go when in the area again.

I've visited twice recently and I really enjoyed the scenic views and extensive menu. Both times I have sat outside which was in the shade and comfortable, even on the hottest days of the season. Watching the boat traffic come in go - everything from kayakers to yachters makes for an entertaining meal. Speaking of meals, I've now tried a handful or so items on the menu. Favorites so far are the Flounder Sandwich and potato skins topped with crab dip. The burger was good too. The halibut tacos and crab bruschetta are a pass for me. Service has been great at the Dock House. The servers have to walk fairly far from the kitchen to the dockside tables and they maintain great service. Kudos to them. Speaking of dock, there is space to dock boats parallel to the bulkhead. Several small to mid-size boats were there both times I visited. I looked to see if there was a sign about the depth or rules for docking there and I didn't see anything. What I have observed is there isn't a dock hand and it's not protected so it can get a little bit of chop. A few boaters were just hanging out on their boat listening to the live music so they didn't seem to mind getting jostled when larger traffic comes through the channel. For those with land yachts or a car, there is plenty of parking and it's easy to get here right off of US-50, assuming there isn't "beach traffic." Dock House is located on the back side of the Boatel that is visible from US-50. Dock House is absolutely one of my new favorite restaurants in the Annapolis area. I am looking forward to many return trips to Kent Island to continue working my way through the menu.
