We ordered from the menu and I ordered the Oyster Po' Boy and my partner had a Crab Cake sandwich. She said her sandwich was tasty and mine was OK though I've had better. Next time I will order a crab dish. The atmosphere was spartan but clean and prices were appropriate. Friendly service but a little slow since the place was busy. I will probably give Ford's another look the next time I'm in Rock Hall.

We stop by to see what the price were, but Cranky Crab is a very small operation so we felt obliged to order. They definitely weren't as cheap, but the proprietor, "Biscuit" explained that was probably the price for the smaller crabs. The ones here were 7 or 8 inches across (#1s or extra large and very meaty males). We decide to get only a dozen and it took about 20 mins to get them steamed. While we were waiting, my 8 yo asks if he could see the equipment to which Biscuit obliges. He even gives my son a little popsicle from the freezer, which was much appreciated on a hot 90F summer day. He's a grandpa, so maybe that's why he's good with kids. With a nickname like Biscuit and a clean crew cut, I thought for sure he was in the military, but he is/was a firefighter and adopted his the nickname in honor of his dad. Overall, I'm glad we stopped by. The prices might be a bit big for some people, but so are the crabs. Stretch your dollar and save all the crab shells, bits and pieces to make a crab stock. Then use that for your next soup or stew.
