Horrible unreliable company now! I used this company for the first time many years ago when it was actually Fisher Plumbing and the owner was great- I used them often for a rental property and my own home however, they changed hands to Adeedo & the company is no longer the same - they are not reliable at all. In fact, the last two times I booked them... The day of my appointment they called me when they were supposed to be here and said he was running late and they'd have to push my time back but when the later time came, they canceled on me when it was too late to book anybody else... Yesterday they canceled literally at 5 PM, so it was too late to book anyone else, and their initial appointment was between 12 to 2 and this is the second time in a row they did it so I will never ever use this company again... I even called them at 11:30 AM to verify they were coming and when she called to delay him -I told him as long as he shows up... They cannot cancel on me and that's exactly what they did Worst company... If you really need a plumber, you cannot ever rely on them showing up... Call anybody else! David arrived on-time and ready to help - a total pro. He thoroughly diagnosed the problem and explained his process so that I could make a knowledgeable decision about what to do next. Fisher is working hard to fix this problem - I'm glad I called them! I really want to leave a good review because Fisher seems like a good company, but they're dropping the ball in a big way... SUMMARY: Leak in ceiling under bathroom they "fixed." Now they missed 3 scheduled appointments to come help. 1. I had Fisher out a week ago to snake a drain and fix a toilet. 2. They did the work, but left the bathtub train mechanism dismantled when they left. I called they came back and completed the job. 3. This week I get a mysterious leak in my ceiling underneath the bathroom where they fixed the toilet - I call them, "active leak! Please send someone right away!" 4. They say they'll send someone out between 2 and 3:30. Nobody comes. 5. I call and say "I can't wait any longer! I have to leave." They say they'll send someone between 6:30 and 8." I get a call at 5:40 saying the technicians at my house and where am I, also, they're leaving. 6. I call to tell them they're two strikes in - they say "none of my situation is transcribed in their client notes, so.... " Basically - that I'm lying, I guess? They're not calling me a liar, but well - no way to KNOW. Regardless, nothing on their end says I've got a problem or they've agreed to take care of it. 7. They've got two people still working, they'll send one last night. He doesn't show. I call at 9pm and they say it'll be at least a couple more hours. 8. I reschedule for today - between 8 and 10am. I don't write a lot of reviews, even when asked, but this time I'm making the exception. First I'll give a reason for the 4-star rating. It's simply an average of the two aspects of the service I received. The service itself from plumber Minhas was excellent. Five stars for sure. Can I give him 6 stars? In fact, I'm not sure I've ever received better plumbing services from someone both knowledgable and one who puts in the work to problem solve and finish the repairs so well. He did several things for us (no need to go into detail), as well as give us an estimate for other repairs or upgrades we've been considering. He even did a couple of small things gratis, which was appreciated. Thoroughly top notch. So that brings me to that estimate, as well as the cost of the bigger repairs. That gets only a 3-star rating. They quote you out of a book of preset prices that all of their plumbers clearly have to adhere to, and those prices are way overpriced. Some of the other reviewers here mention this as well, and some have even worked the numbers to be around $250/hour for the labor, as well as a huge markup on parts. This sounds in line with what I experienced as well but didn't run the numbers myself. Let me just say, however, that those repairs will probably be 100% perfect in my experience. Is it worth it to you? Not sure, but if Minhas does the repair, you're golden. The quotes for the big ticket things I'm considering will, unfortunately, be passed on while I look for a better deal. That's unfortunate too because I would probably do at least one of them right now if not for the price quoted to me. I will be calling them again for the run of the mill things and basic maintenance work though. So the bottom line is the quality of work is second to none, but the price might leave you speechless. The area was completely accessible and the job required the sweating of 2 joints and installation of a compression shut off valve. Technician arrive with his iPad and gave me an estimate of $3800 for a job that took me 45 minutes to complete. Parts cost me $30 total including the small propane tank. Anyway this local Plummer has been purchased by a larger corporation no longer based in Simi Valley. They used to be a small responsive and reasonably priced plumbing company. RIP OFF. I have been using Fisher Plumbing for going on 20 years. I was using them when Paul, the owner, actually did service calls. Their service gradually got more expensive and less personal, and now, I'm finally done with them. I had them come out to do a very simple kitchen drain-pipe replacement. The job involved nothing more than taking out the old pipes and putting in PVC. The technician arrived in an unmarked van (illegal under the California Contractors State License Law) and quoted me $500, but automatically gave me a 15% "discount." I told him I thought that was unconscionable, and that we were talking about maybe $15 in parts and 30 minutes of labor. I asked him if that seemed right, and he agreed, but he said that this is what "the book" was quoting him. He then asked me what I was willing to pay. Oh, ok, so this is a negotiation now. I offered a lowball $100. After he called the office, he came back at $350. I sent him on his way, obviously. The next day, I got a referral from a friend. The plumber came out and did the job in 20 minutes, and it cost $160. Not cheap, but reasonable, and not a rip off. Side note: When Fisher Plumbing called me to let me know what time the technician would be at my house, the call came from a 310 number in Culver City. Fisher Plumbing does not have a 310 number that I'm aware of. In the 20 years I've known them, they've only had 818 and 805 numbers. Anyway, when the technician hadn't arrived a half hour past when he was supposed to be here, I called that number back, and they answered the phone as "Reliance Home Services." So, Fisher Plumbing doesn't even do its own work anymore; instead, they are subcontracting it out, without disclosing it. After their technician left, I called Fisher Plumbing back to express my displeasure. I was hoping to speak with Paul, but as a recent reviewer, Bruce Z., was told, I was also told that he was on vacation. I asked if he was even with the company anymore and was told that he's "kind of retiring." Good for him. Not so much for the company. I left a message with Doug, the service manager, who called me right back, again from Reliance's 310 number. He reiterated how the price quote came from "the book." He didn't seem that broken up that he was losing a long-time customer. OK, fair enough. Good luck with your book. read more

My last review was for the service I received from Fisher plumbing. This is for the sales calls that I never requested. They send out emails on specials which is fine but I received a phone call today about specials they were having. Most people don't call a plumber unless they are having an issue, so I'm not sure why they feel the need to tele-market you. When I called the girl back, she acted like she wasn't sure if she could remove me from being called again. Maybe a negative review will make sure they don't piss off existing customers. After I posted the review above, Mel Ebenstein sent me a private message that he listened to the recording I had with Valerie. In California it is illegal to record a phone conversation without the permission of both parties. Mel just admitted in writing that he committed a felony by illegally recording my conversation. I feel sad writing this review. I've been using Fisher Plumbing for all my plumbing issues for over 15 years. But my last experience was so bad I will have to use someone else. I called towards the end of the day and scheduled to have a technician arrive and look at a kitchen sink issue the following day. Towards the end of the time window I was given, Fisher Plumbing called me to cancel. They were too busy at another job. I was annoyed and surprised since I never had scheduling problems before, but agreed to reschedule for the next day. Again, nobody showed up when I was told they would, and I called dispatch a couple times. They kept telling me they were still going to show up later that day. I finally got fed up and cancelled. I was able to contact a local plumber who was able to come out that day and fix the problem quickly. The best part of this story is that when the second plumber showed up in the drive way, so did one from Fisher! After I already cancelled with dispatch. The whole experience with Fisher felt like the business was being run amateurly. Paul's always been a stand up guy and in a way I hope he cashed out and sold his business to someone else, which would explain this level of service. read more

So late last night my wife and I noticed a strange odor in our Master Bathroom. It was pronounced when she flushed the toilet. As we looked into it I noticed our master tub was backing up with sewage....we all know that's the worst feeling in the world to think sewage is backing up o the second floor bathtub. So, needless to say had to open up all the windows and air out. Next morning looked up plumbers on yelp and actually inquired with a few who had ads. As I turned out none replied so I remembered using Fisher plumbing in the past. Looked them up on yelp and gave them a call. Picked right up and found me as a previous customer. Explained my situation and arranged a time block. Received an email confirmation and a call prior to the technician arriving. Super professional and convenient. Alex showed up right on ETA and went to work. Talked about the issue and diagnosed the problem.. turns out feminine hygiene and butt wipes are bad...hmmm how many times have I told my wife not to flush those bad boys. Anyways best solution was removal of the toilet and snaking the line. Line ran clean but tub still backed up. Alex explained that some junk may have backed into the tub line so snaked that as well. When the technician arrived, he told me that the Moen faucet we had was under a lifetime warranty! He could have sold me a new $150 faucet, but he told me how to get a new one for free from Moen. We sent away for the new one and called him back to install it. Yeah for Fisher Plumbing! Next time I needed plumbing help I called Fisher again and I was pleased with the service. They braved the torrential rains to arrive at my house in the midst of a bathroom remodel - I needed to have the sink main drain line snaked before they put the sink back together, and they were able to come out same day. Jose V. was my guy today, and he was great about working very carefully in my brand new bathroom. I would have been really bummed out to have dings on my new vanity before the bathroom is even done. Sure enough, he was pleasant and accommodating, and didn't scratch a thing. He snaked the drain, cleaned up, and was on his way to the next customer! I called Fisher Plumbing mid-morning with a pressure regualator about to blow. They scheduled a tech to arrive 2-4 PM. The tech arrived about 4:30, and worked diligently until long after dark. He left for about 2 hours to get the parts, then finally leaving here about 8:30 PM. He replaced the regulator, the main house shutoff valve, the overpressure valve, and a landscape shutoff valve (all on the same "plumbing tree"), all in copper and brass. Tech was knowledgeable, friendly, and worked continuously, and the finished work looks excellent. However, the pressure regulator was not properly set, and pressures varied from 85-90 psi two days later. Fisher responded within the day, and another tech - also friendly and easy to deal with - set the regulator to a safer 65 psi. Pros: Fast response, excellent work, easy to deal with. Con 1: Regulator had to be reset. (How many homeowners would know to check the pressure after the plumber leaves?!?) Con 2: Very high cost. More than 2.5 times what a neighbor paid for the same job 3 months ago. C'mon now, $200/ft for 1 inch copper pipe? read more

She gave me a time when the plumber would be out and he called a half an hour before he was over. His name is Alex D.. I have two dogs that are very rambunctious and he didn't seem to mind at all. He tried to snake it and then he wanted to scope it and before I knew it I had Alfredo over too.They're not finished with their work at my house but they are sure professional and it's from a company I trust. Andrew came out to fix a faucet in our bathroom that we have had fixed a couple of years ago. We talked about paying to fix the same problem again or investing the money in a new one. We went with the replacement option. Andrew went to home depot and brought us a new faucet and installed it for me. I know it would have been cheaper for me to buy it myself but I was unable to go, and paying a little more for convenience was ok. Min is the best!! We recently purchased a new sink and needed a professional to come and install. I was incredibly impressed with Min's professionalism, knowledge and expertise in everything to do with plumbing. He was very thorough in the installation and kept me informed every step of the way - I never once got the "salesy" feel I have experienced in the past with other plumbing companies. He also notified me of some other plumbing items that could use replacing but I never once felt pressured. I honestly can't recommend him enough. I can assure you, you are in good hands if Min is your technician. I do feel compelled to say that their answering service and their office staff who schedules the appointments need to take some customer service lessons from Min. I was on hold twice for over 35 min (one of them was 51 minutes), after I was told a 10 am -12 pm window and no one showed up (or called). I was given a 10% discount but that paled in comparison to the Sunday I wasted and inconvenience I experienced. read more

UPDATED REVIEW PLEASE READ PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE. If this place's unprofessionalism wasn't enough after talking over 2 months to try and deflect my review, the rebuttal was nothing but lies. I could have respected someone who would of said "we are generally on top of things unfortunately your job slipped through the cracks and we apologize...." But I can see from previous reviews left by others my case seems to be the norm. First off I spoke to my landlord a few months ago and he said no one had called him and he was unaware of the crack but understood it could happen and said he would send someone else out to fix that. When I showed him the flowerbed which is something I had created myself with my own money he was blown away. I know my land lord would have never turned down an offer to fix these things for free and I personally would have liked someone to come fix my flower bed so i could have some flowers in it once again this spring. That was MY money down the drain. And yes they do sub out work. The first person who came to snake put the drain had a company shirt on identifying him as an employee. He was clearly driving a company van also identifying the business, The guy who did our job had a plain white van no logo or anything and plain clothes and when he had asked me for payment, unaware of the situation I had straight asked him if he was subcontracted and he confirmed it. I told him he would need to get his payment from Fischer. Lying and dishonesty are a pet peeve of mine. So after reading the rebuff of my original review I have made it a point to let my entire neighborhood know what had happened and not to use this place. My landlord who they claim was happy with their job owns houses in this neighborhood and he stated he would never use them again. We will stick with our regular plumber and the only reason he didn't get this job is because their insurance changed they were no longer able to do roof cleanouts which is what we have. This was my first time using Fisher Plumbing and I had an excellent experience from start to finish! I woke up early to discover a clogged kitchen sink and immediately logged on to Yelp for local recommendations. I sent requests out to 5 Simi Valley plumbing companies and received a very prompt response from Fisher. I immediately called to book an appointment and the "Happiness Concierge" (love it!) Valerie helped me book an appointment with a smile in her voice the whole time. She booked a 2 hour window which was within my availability, same-day! She showed empathy and did what she could to ensure I didn't have to wait a whole weekend for service. She also texted me later to confirm my appointment and ask if she could help with anything else! (Awesome service!) The dispatcher called me later to say they were running behind, which was okay - I'm just glad they called instead of keeping me waiting and wondering. The dispatcher the called me 30 minutes prior to the tech's arrival, as promised, and he arrived when they told me he would. The tech (Roger) was professional, courteous and friendly and did a thorough job, including reminding me to be more careful in the future. He offered a 30 day warranty and offered to return if the blockage recurred. I was impressed with the work ethics of ALL of the employees I spoke with today and even though they couldn't make the original time slot, I appreciated the courtesy call advising me of the delay AND the advanced call advising the tech was coming - as promised - which to me makes ALL the difference. I would definitely recommend and would use them again if I have future plumbing needs. This is a good, reputable company that made a great first impression with me. read more

Our service guy, AL, was knowledgeable and helpful in fixing the problem after a camera was used at our request. Yuck, just gunt build up. We were given this number to call by our landlord for our leaking toilet. We called Thursday night to schedule an appointment was told they could come Friday from 2-4. Plumber called at 12 on Friday saying that they had a high volume of calls and wouldn't be able to make it. They offered Saturday morning but I worked. My landlords ended up speaking with them and scheduling for Monday. Then again on Monday they called saying they couldn't make it again. Very unprofessional. We needed our toilet to be replaced and it's the week of thanksgiving. Ended up calling a different plumber that came out same day. read more

I'm updating this review because the business owner reached out to me several times and from what I gather--it was a misunderstanding on the manager's part who made the call to charge me. I ended up not paying--and I heard feedback from friends who have been customers for years that fisher does good work. Experience still leaves a bad taste in my mouth but the next time I need a plumber, I'd be willing to give them another try and will update my review then. A year or two ago, this would have been a 5-star review for Fisher. Over many years of service, they were always capable, honest, and reasonably priced. It appears that the company has now been sold and its character has completely changed. We needed a gas dryer installed for the house into which we moved. I made an appointment on the phone and received a confirmation from a "happiness concierge" (! this is a plumbing company, not a trendy spa !) The technician Daniel was on time, polite, and professional, and he appears to have done a good job installing a new valve and connecting the dryer. He told us in advance that the charge would be $471, which seemed very high, but we needed it done and were exhausted after moving. Including a trip to a supplier for parts, the job took about 90 minutes. The valve and hose would have cost about $35 online. So even with a 100% markup on the parts, we're talking more than $260 an hour plus parts. But we paid, and the dryer works. We received a follow-up phone call (or maybe it was a text--- I don't remember-- from another happiness concierge, and I told her what I wrote above-- the work was fine, but the price was too high. I gave the same response to a follow-up email. AND to another happiness concierge, David, who called to follow up. Let's see-- three follow-ups for 1 service call. No wonder the prices are high. David asked what I thought was a fair price--I said $250-- and he finally offered a refund of half of the difference. A few days later, we received a check for $110 from "Reliance Home Services, Inc." So that explains it-- the business has been sold, and it's a completely different company. read more

Gouge should be in their name. I used Fisher for a few clear outs and then a larger sewer re-sleeve for my house and sisters a few years back and they were good and reasonable. Had a larger clear out issue 9 months ago and the price they quoted to redo the pipes under the house was laughable. I passed. I gave them a second chance yesterday on Father's day when our water heater looked like it died. Water on the floor and not hot water. The guy came out and didn't touch anything, looked at his handy rip off pricing book, and quoted me $4900 to replace a 75 gal. water tank. I laughed and he said he'd call his boss. They came back with a good customer discount down to $4400. I asked him to leave. I spoke to another company on the phone and same water heater replace would be $2100 with a better warranty. When he came out this AM he looked all around the existing heater and took off the insulation sleeve on the pipe and noticed a tiny pinhole leak. That was it!!! $40 in parts and $90 for the call. The Fisher guy didn't even walk within 3 feet of it. Paul used to get involved, but I think their M.O. now is to get the max price they possibly can and walk if it isn't a huge profit job. I wish I would of read the yelp reviews before calling this company for an appointment. I've used them Nearly 10 times though and always found them to be fair priced and reliable. I've referred them out literally dozens of times. I called them to install a drain. The price was insane so I told them no thanks. I called another plumber and sent a photo and they are 4 times cheaper. FOUR times!!!!!. Disgusting. Unbelievable. Not a customer any more. And lost a few days on my project. read more
