I know the name of this place is Fish Taco, but let's talk about this guac... Hands down, this is the best guacamole I've ever had IN MY LIFE! It's so fresh and so flavorful. If this was the only thing that I had during my visit here, I would have been more than satisfied. Admittedly, I was a little concerned about the price of the chips and guac when I first ordered, but when I saw how much I got for the money, I wasn't even mad. And it's so good! If you get nothing else here, GET THE CHIPS AND GUAC! The signature fish tacos were really good too. The fish was perfectly crispy, with just the right amount of crunchy cabbage and a drizzle of sauce. Two tacos came with the order, as well as a side of rice and black beans. The black beans were seasoned very well and overall this made for an incredible meal. Would definitely eat here again whenever I'm in the area.
I come for their Taco Tuesday deal. It makes the price more affordable. The tacos are delicious and fresh. Staff is friendly. The order comes out decently quick. Would come again.
Stopped by for lunch on a Monday and caught Margarita Monday, all-day margaritas for $8. I ordered the fish stew, which had generous chunks of grilled fish (I believe it was mahi-mahi) and it was so good! Hot, flavorful, and perfect for a cold day. The chips and guacamole was great like usually. The service was welcoming & friendly like always. A cozy, satisfying lunch!
Visited Fish Taco after a trip to Tysons Mall. Parking was easy in the nearby garage, and I was told the restaurant validated. They took my ticket inside, but I still had to pay five dollars when leaving, so not sure what happened there. The restaurant has plenty of seating and is a mix of self-serve and table service. You order at the counter, get a number, and someone brings your food. Utensils, napkins, and water are available on a side table. When you're done, you leave everything at the table and someone clears it for you. Staff was helpful and friendly. Food was good and served in lunch-sized portions. I had the steak rice bowl, which was simple and not super flavorful, but the steak had a nice smoky sear. My boyfriend got the signature fish taco bowl. I thought the fish was just okay, but I'm not a big fish fan. He swears by this place and says he used to eat here every day during his internship nearby, so that might say something.
Tried this place for the first time and it was everything I could ask for. Great food, great service, great ambiance. Will be returning!!
Despite the name they have more than just Fish Tacos! I had the carnitas bowl this trip and it was pretty much perfect. The pork was lean and moist, the rice was fresh, all the vegetables tasted just right and the green salsa was the perfect match for everything. Portions are large here so be sure to get a to go box if you don't finish everything. The chips and guacamole are enjoyable as well. Service is fast and friendly here, you order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Parking in the garage is free on weekends for up to two hours. Ive always enjoyed my meals here and I'll be back again.
The food here is pretty good. I got the signature fish rice bowl. It tasted good, but it wasn't anything special. The fish was crispy but tasted like it was something you could get from the store frozen, which I wouldn't say is a bad thing, but the fish was very ordinary. I liked the mix of vegetables in the bowl, and the sauce was tasty. Service was good. There was a good amount of seating. I came on a weekday during lunch, and it was pretty packed. This is nice place to go if you are looking for a casual lunch spot.

Pick a seat of your choice and they deliver your food to your table! I ordered two Street Tacos, one carnitas and one steak taco. The carnitas one was simple and was not dry. The steak one had a nice smokey flavor that I enjoyed! Both came with onion, cilantro, and salsa verde. The salsa verde was not too spicy and the vegetables were fresh. Next time, I would order another one! I think three would be a more filling amount.
Elote was one of the best ones I have had. The rice bowl was in decent potion for the price and was very fresh and flavorful. Grilled fish taco wasn't as good as the blackened fish taco. Plus tax and tips, we spent about $57. We think it's really worth it. The staffs were very friendly, musics played at the restaurant were great too. Very spacious and clean. Would definitely come back!
We got the Blackened Fish Burrito and Signature Fish Burrito... it's mostly rice. Not very flavorful. And the fish was scant throughout. Disappointed. Also, they said they'd call my name when my order was up. They did not. I waited for 20 minutes and when they saw me looking over, then they said my name and handed me two unlabeled burritos. There was one other customer in the restaurant. Mediocre experience at best. Taco Bell's grilled stuffed burrito would have been more satisfying. For $35, not worth it!! It was clean, maybe because it's empty.
So glad I discovered Fish Taco! Probably the best fish tacos I've had in the US. I tried the shrimp, salmon, and grilled fish and they were all excellent. Fish was fresh and I loved all the fixings - cabbage, corn, cilantro, etc. There was a kick to the tacos, but it was perfect for me. Fresh food that tastes like it's homemade, no pretenses, unlimited paper towels at the tables, and laidback atmosphere. I'll be back.
I love eating at this place!!! This time I think I ordered the wrong thing. Usually I enjoy all my food. This time, the blackened fish was too fishy in smell and taste. If it wasn't for that I would have enjoyed it a lot! I'm not going to knock off starts for that, because they're normally consistent with providing good fresh tasting ingredients. I may have gotten the completely wrong thing, but the two items I spent $23 on, were really not that great. I came in on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. They have indoor and some outdoor seating. Service was friendly and fast- probably the best part of the visit. I ordered a tortilla soup and the small steak quesadilla. I did like you could order some "smaller" options. I originally wanted blackened fish tacos but got notice on their website that they were only doing blackened salmon which wasn't what I was craving. You get a number and your food is run out to you. The food came out pretty quickly while I was sitting outside. The small quesadilla came out first- it was a nice size, especially if you were getting other items. The steak had initially decent flavor - it almost reminded me more of barbacoa then steak. However as I had a few more bites, the steak was very greasy and the 2 cheese blend they used was a bit overwelming and fatty. I could only eat 2/4 without feeling a bit sick from the fat content. Also, I was surprised the quesadilla was served with no dips- no pico, no sour cream, no salsa for 9.75$ - feels a bit of a rip off. Now the real star of the unfortunate show- the tortilla soup. It was probably the worst tortilla soup I had. It was very brothy but without flavors- veggies were raw or undercooked and there were barely any tortilla pieces. They added a lot of chicken but the chicken was bizarre- most chicken tortilla soups have finely cut chicken or shredded chicken. It looked like they put in a whole scoop of taco chicken meat- the pieces were chunky, fatty, and barely fit on the spoon. Overall it was off putting, nothing melded together and with almost no flavor, I was left really disappointed. Did I get all the wrong things? Maybe. I may try it again one day but it was truly a huge let down. read more
Our absolute fave taco spot in the NoVa area! This spot has stayed consistent with their food the past 3 years ever since we stumbled upon this location. The signature fish is what we always go for, whether it's a bowl or taco. Their other tacos like chorizo, shrimp, steak etc are always so delicious! When dining in, you just pay for your meal, grab your table number and find your own seat. Very simple and easy. They offer free water cups near the entrance or near the bathroom hall. There's silverware and paper towels on each table. Very thoughtful. If you want to bring your fur baby, they're more than welcome to sit outside at their outdoor dining with you! I do enjoy me some fish taco, and the tacos or burritos are always good, but I think I've finally found my favorite order, and it's not fish... it's the carnitas bowl. Which is the only bowl that comes with a kick of jalapeños. Now I think anything you get here you'll probably enjoy, but I'm convinced that the bowls here are the best, and I've never been a bowl type of guy, but packed with flavor, and fill you up! read more

Quick service, very nice area with a good amount of foot traffic. Food was very solid! The crispy chicken tacos were flavorful and a good starter plate. Followed up with the Chicken Rice bowl and crushed it. Really nice flavors in all their foods. Perfect option for lunch in my opinion. Solo, date, or group friendly. read more

I'm updating my review because Fish Taco has become one of my favorite takeout spots in The Boro. It's also probably my favorite spot overall for fish and shrimp tacos around Tyson's. The ratio of fish to slaw to tortilla is perfect. The tortilla chips are light and crispy without being too salty or oily. Lunch takeout is fast and easy. There are a few parking spots outside (right by Whole Foods) to quickly park for grab-and-go service. Whenever I have time, I really want to stop by for a meal on the patio, too. read more

Tried fish taco for the first time after watching a movie at the Icon. Fish Taco is a fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. The food was really good and the restaurant is so cute! We started with the chips and queso. It was good but I definitely want to try the salsa or guacamole next time to see how those compare. I got the signature fish taco platter with rice and beans. The fish tacos were amazing and I will definitely be coming back just for those. The rice and beans were good but would be better with a sauce (which is probably what you would get in the rice bowl). My husband got the taco Tuesday special and really enjoyed his tacos as well! read more
Aptly named, this quick, quality, (relatively) budget-friendly alternative in Tysons Corner is always sure to please any mood or crowd. While nothing here is exceptional nor different, everything is solid & with low margin of error; the only complaint being the basicness and perhaps lack of more aggressive flavoring in the dishes. I came here with my family for a quick Saturday lunch. There's paid street parking and there was plenty of seating when we entered the restaurant. It's fast casual, so we ordered at the counter and then seated ourselves. I had the blackened fish salad. Our food came out pretty quickly. I really enjoyed the lime vinagrette and the mango and jicama in the salad. The fish was cooked well and I really loved the way all the flavors mixed! Pretty decent spot for lunch. read more

Excellent! Garage and street parking is available. There is plenty of indoor seating. The restaurant is incredibly clean, neat, and organized. I love the ambiance and decor. Employees are friendly, helpful, and hard working. Plenty of indoor seating is available. Once you've placed your order with the cashier, you will be given a number card. Place it on your table and a lovely employee will bring your food over. Restrooms are incredibly clean, as well. Tried their Chips & Guacamole, Elote, and a few Tacos. Everything was delicious from start to finish. High quality ingredients are used and you can taste the difference. B and I enjoyed every bite. So glad we got a chance to try Fish Taco. Stopped by for a quick lunch and placed an order to go. I got a chicken taco, signature fish taco, and blackened fish taco. The chicken taco was pretty nondescript -- not necessarily bad, but nothing all that interesting and I think most could make a more exciting chicken taco and home. The signature fish taco was tasty but very fried. It was one of those fried dishes where I tasted fried coating more than the actual protein. The blackened fish taco was the star of the show...wish I would have gotten 3 of those! I thought this taco had a really great combination of flavors and I will absolutely get another one next time I am in Tysons. Three tacos for lunch set me back about $18, which I found a bit steep based on the serving of food (I was still a bit hungry after the three small tacos) so I would not add Fish Taco to the regular rotation, but I'd come back every once in a while. read more
The first time I came here was a great experience. I had the shrimp ceviche which was fresh, flavorful, had a good amount of shrimp and the fresh red onions, jalapeños, cilantro, and avocado. The portion was also great. Since my first visit all of the above about the shrimp ceviche has changed and not for the better. The second time I had about 5 shrimp and the third time which was today I had a good amount of shrimp and nothing else. I love the ceviche but on the fence about returning for it given the decline in quality and consistency of serving. To get my rating up I would love to see better consistency b/c at this point I feel like you are stealing my money. Aside from this, The ambience is always cute and the service is good and quick especially during the lunch hour to get back to the office on time. If you are in a rush go before 12 or after 1, I would no recommend ordering as much as the quality slips. read more

We were up in the Tyson's corner area and I came across Fish Taco searching Yelp I love Mexican, tacos and cute places... this fit the bill for the all three. Ordered the special mahi fried tacos that came with rice and beans or option to get a salad instead. The sauce was just spicy enough to make it flavorful and yummy. Fish cooked perfectly. Rice and beans were good too! Friends ordered the ceviche and I got to try that, super tasty. The tortilla soup was also ordered and enjoyed by a friend so I got one to go for lunch the next day! Atmosphere is nice. Outside seating too! Friendly staff. Would definitely go back!! read more
Cute spot for a quick bite. I would not want to mislead I that these are not particularly "authentic" tacos but they are really tasty! The outside space is also really comfortable and the staff will bring your order to your table if you site inside or out. My table got the chips and salsa verde and it was really good! There's a slight spice to the salsa verde and I could not stop eating it. Super fresh and worth the app price! I also got the signature fish taco which is fried fish with a refreshing slaw. Fish Taco is located at The Boro, and this restaurant chain offers various starters (chips and salsa, tortilla soup, tostada, elote, etc.), salads, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, rice bowls, and even kid options. I had a get-together here for an early lunch, and I ordered: +Chips & Queso - a basket of a generous amount of warm tortilla chips came with a bowl of housemade cheese dip - the tortilla chips were slightly thicker, but I loved that they were well-salted and warm! The cheese dip was just okay; was a little thin and could have been more creamier +and two orders of the Signature Fish tacos - Baja-style crispy fish, topped with a shredded cabbage mix and a signature sauce, all in a flour tortilla; these were YUMMY! The fish was fresh, flaky, and had a great crispy batter that wasn't too thin or thick; there was a nice amount of the shredded cabbage mix (not pickled); the signature sauce had a kick to it and really complemented the fish! When you enter, you just place your order at the cashier and they give you a number; find a table, and your order will be brought out to you. Tables are cleared often, and the staff were super welcoming and friendly! The place itself is bright and cheery, and I really liked their decor. Near the cashier, there are cups for complimentary iced water, plasticware, and napkins. My new go to for fish tacos!!! I lived in San Diego for the majority of my adult life and so I'm pretty picky about fish tacos. This place was delicious and had lots of great options. The shrimp ceviche is so yummy... super limey but I like it that way and it's a killer price! The green salsa is on point as well and the elite was great too! What kind of fish do you use for your taco?
We are currently using Mahi Mahi for all of our fish. Mahi is a subtropical white fish that have large, meaty flakes with a mild flavor. We also have Salmon and Shrimp as other seafood options.
