Had Mr. Fish on many occasions, Fish House is a wonderful replacement. Good food and good people. Cooked to order. A must try.

"Pfft," I'd whisper to my empty kitchen, "It's just bread holding things. I am above the carbs." Well, pride truly comes before a fall, or in this case, a food coma. On a whim, my willpower crumbled, and we pulled up today around 7 p.m. Walking in at peak rush hour is like stepping into a human pinball machine. The place is small and cramped, which is a fancy way of saying... I made accidental eye contact with three strangers while dodging elbows. It was loud, chaotic, and completely electric. Woot woot!! You order at the counter, pray to the sandwich gods for a table, and just roll with it. We opted to do Carry out. We ordered "The Meatball Sub" And "The All Up In Your Grill" with added turkey because we apparently hate moderation), and a side of jalapeño popper soup. Let me tell you...these sandwiches were so aggressively good they should come with a warning label. The Meatball Sub (4.5 / 5 Stars): Deducting half a star only because it emotionally ruined all future meatballs I will ever eat...It was messy, glorious, and tasted like it was engineered by Italian grandmothers who take personal offense if you aren't sweating from satisfaction. The All Up In Your Grill + Turkey: A masterclass in grilled cheese evolution. Adding turkey turned a humble melt into a heavyweight contender for the best lunch in the STL area! "The Jalapeño Popper Soup" equals The liquid embodiment of a mic drop. Creamy, spicy, and frankly deserving of its own fan club. We came in as skeptical skeptics. We left as converted zealots. We are definitely coming back!! What should we conquer next on our redemption tour through this menu? That is the question...

The meat was a bit stringy and hard to chew. Maybe normal for this cut. Slightly salty for my taste but good flavor. Solid other than the meat texture. Will try a different sandwich next time

Since this place is such a staple, we figured we had to give it a try. The place was absolutely packed, which clearly shows it's a local favorite. Even with how busy they were, our pickup order was ready on time -- actually before the scheduled pickup since I arrived about five minutes early. The atmosphere definitely had that classic local sandwich shack vibe and seemed like it would make a great casual lunch spot for almost any occasion. Unfortunately, the food itself just didn't live up to the reputation for us. We ordered the hot salami sandwiches, which they're known for, but they were extremely greasy and the only flavors that really stood out were mustard and grease. We expected a lot more flavor and balance considering it's their specialty item. We also placed a large luncheon order of 10 sandwiches. Everyone was satisfied overall and the food was decent enough, but nothing really stood out or made us excited to come back. We personally prefer Adriana's for both flavor and overall quality. One of the biggest disappointments was that none of the sandwiches had cheese on them, even though we paid an extra $2 per sandwich for the garlic cheese bread upgrade. That was frustrating considering the additional charge. Honestly, I'm guessing we may have just caught them on an off day because it's obvious this spot has a loyal following. We still appreciate supporting local STL businesses and can understand why so many people love it -- it just wasn't quite the experience we were expecting.

If you've ever found yourself thinking, 'You know what would really hit the spot? An entire…read moreThanksgiving turkey wrapped in a bread hug,' Capriotti's has your back. I present to you The Bobbi...their legendary signature sub packed with slow-roasted, in-house shredded turkey, homemade stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mayo. It is practically a holiday on a roll, and honestly, Thanksgiving gets entirely too much flak for only happening once a year anyway. Not feeling festive? They've got you covered with heavy hitters like the Classic Cheesesteak, the Chicken Bacon Ranch, and The Capastrami, all served on soft rolls that somehow possess the structural integrity to handle an ungodly amount of meat. Wash it down with some seasoned fries and a house-baked 'brookie' because calories apparently don't count here. Between the friendly, fast service and the fact that you can get your feast via dine-in, curbside, or delivery, Capriotti's is a dangerous, delicious discovery. Consider yourself warned.

I got hot peppers and no mushrooms on my Philly. It was well seasoned, the bread was super tasty not too soggy. Fries were crispy and delicious. still a little pricey, we got 2 small sandwiches, large fries no drinks and it was about $38, HOWEVER, I very much enjoyed my meal. Also, small is a bit misleading, it's deff about a 10inch sandwhich was was plenty for me and you can get a mini as well. I'm glad I came back, it hit my cravings for the day!

After looking at a handful of menus on the street, we de died on Good Company. Service was great. Very attentive. They immediately asked if we had any dietary issues and then promptly after hearing out needs, made a handful of recommendations. We started with the cauliflower. It was excellent the light sauce and pine nuts really made this dish top notch. The vegetarian and GF adults then split the Caesar salad and the squash seasonal salad. Both were so flavorful, filling and entirely unique. If you're a salad eater, I'd highly recommend either one of these. The carnivore in our group ordered the Italian beef with French fries. Unfortunately they were out of the Italian beef so he had to settle on the wings. The wings were a solid lunch after an appetizer, but the sauce was not what was expected. Overall, the menu is simple, maybe 15 items in total and they probably need to have more for carnivores who are looking for something other than a hamburger and not too heavy for lunch. But for the other 2 in our group, we walked out super satisfied.

There were a few people in the dining area and a person at the bar. Our host welcomed us and asked if we had a reservation, we did not. He led us to a table and indicated our server would be with us shortly. We reviewed the menu and reading about them and their philosophy, the menu, the drink options and so forth. One of the staff behind the bar came and took our order. I stuck with water and we ordered chicken wings to share, I also got the Cucumber Tomato Salad for my meal, it sounded so fresh! Chicken wings came out fairly quick; delivered by the host who seated us. They were really good. The skin was crisp and the buffalo sauce a good flavor. We both enjoyed them. They came with a Green Goddess dressing, I am not a fan of that dressing, but the wings were good on their own. My salad came out and it was as refreshing as it sounded! It was the half salad, and it was a generous portion. Cornichon, Oven-Roasted Tomato, Crispy Shallot, Chopped Egg, and Dill Buttermilk dressing. It was perfectly dressed, and great proportions on the ingredients. My daughter ordered the Patty Melt advertised on Union Loafers bread and that clinched it for her. She indicated it was very good. The food was delivered by someone other than our server. After our food was delivered no one came back to check on us and we waited quite a while before we could get someone's attention to bring boxes and our check. While we were waiting the employees were setting up for dinner service, adding mini aperitif style glasses and then a couple came in for an early dinner and their server was so awesome, he came over and chatted with them offering samples of some kind of alcohol, he was so friendly! If we had been a little later and had him for a server, it would have changed our whole experience! We both commented that on our way out after we had eventually got settled up
