Lemon, creamy tartar sauce, and malt in a condiment package is provided. So good! The staffers are always ready & pleasant even when it's busy here. There's a lot of take out orders here. We like dining in here. Their food is served fresh and hot every time! Basically it's kinda entertaining to see all the flow of people coming in and out to either pick up their own order or to get their deliveries for outside customers. A 3 piece fish and chips was actually 40% less expensive than K____'s fish house which has more ambience and many more inside dinners. One of the sides was a sesame cabbage salad that I could've eaten a bucket of, it was so delicious. Their fries had that nice extra crunch and seasoned perfectly. The young man helping us recommended the wasabi aioli dip which turned out to be my favorite. My go-to's are the wasabi salmon poke (sauce is delicious), spring mix salad (dressing is yummy), French fries are extra crunchy.... and don't sleep on the marinated skirt steak! It's so tasty, that I can just order only that! My husband enjoyed the blackened shrimp, fish & chips and has said the battered fish is the best he's tasted in a very long time. I'm used to the tiny salmon filet at Urbane Cafe that charges $1 less for their salmon bowl than the Fish District. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The filet seasoning was excellent and I appreciated that it was subtle and not overly sweet. I liked lunch so much that later that day, I ordered takeout for dinner. I had the grilled Ono sandwich. Again, the filet was a substantial size. I liked all the toppings. The brioche roll was tasty but way too much bread for me. I took the thick top off and ate the sandwich open faced. Ok, if this review was just for the food it would be high, but unfortunately my experience was mixed. I have been craving fish and chips for about a week, which is rare, but I needed to get rid of the craving. We arrived at about 8 (I know they close at 8:30) and the restaurant was empty. The guy at the counter was friendly and polite. We ordered to eat in and sat down to wait. There was a lot of to go business so people were coming and going the whole time. One of the staff members was complaining to another about a previous customer and how she wanted something off menu and they were not going to give it her no matter how persistent she was. He went on about it for a while. Then they brought our food. It looked wonderful, the fish was golden, perfectly cooked on the inside and the fries were perfect. We happily dug in and it was everything I had been craving. They were apparently getting ready to close (it was 8:10) and they rolled out the mop and bucket after complaining how bad the bathroom and water in the bucket smelled. As we sat there eating I watched one staff members open a bottle of bleach and pour some into the bucket. I was a bit surprised they would do this with customers eating but I assumed they would probably roll it back into the back. They did not. Slowly the whole room started smelling stronger and stronger of bleach, to the point it made me a little nauseous and I couldn't eat any more. We emptied our trays into the trash and left. Maybe that was their goal to get us out? It was 8:24 when we got in the car so we weren't keeping them. This is likely a training issue but I think future visits will be during the day. After a long day at Legoland, we were ready for dinner. We decided on seafood and found this place nearby. I didn't get a chance to look at the menu before we left our hotel room, only my husband did haha. When we arrived, the restaurant was located in a shopping plaza directly in front of Stater Bros. There was plenty of parking. The restaurant was quiet, not too busy. When you walk in, you must place your order at the counter first and then sit down. This place was very vineyard vines vibes inside and empty in the middle of the day when I went I got the poke nachos with half salmon and half tuna. The speed of service was quick and I had my food soon. I will say the fish wasn't the freshest in my opinion for raw fish (maybe their fried/cooked fish options taste better because they're better reviewed on this yelp). It still tasted good though! I think this restaurant could improve by playing music inside that's louder or by putting something inside that adds noise to keep it from looking quiet. I ordered this evening a salmon bowl and a shrimp wrap. My wife ordered online. When I went to pick it up. The sauces were not correct. The so called manager said in a very stern way that the sauces that I wanted were not on the ticket. Instead of correcting the order he kept arguing with me and became quite rude. He actually threw the sauces in my bag. Granted, I was upset, but the customer should always be treated with respect. I was NOT! I am giving this 5 stars but I want to be clear that this is a fast casual restaurant with only a few healthy options. I have eaten here numerous times and it never disappoints. I get the healthiest options available - grilled fish or the kale salad (so yummy and filling) and I enjoy them. But, then I have to always order the unhealthy french fries because they are to die for. I can't resist them. They are just delicious. They have some sort of coating on them that makes them super crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Sometimes I just get the fries lol. The prices and sizes are very reasonable but I have noticed that the takeout portions seem to be smaller than the eat in portions.
