I'm a bit torn on how to rate the overall experience. We sat at the bar but after looking around, I noticed when people were seated, they were directly under fans. We sat under a vent but it honestly felt like the heat was blowing. With how hot it was outside, I assume the AC has a difficult time keeping up. It was very uncomfortable. Service was quick and friendly. I had the $2 happy hour oysters and the $5 happy hour golden margarita. Both items were good. For my main entree, I had the tuna tostadas. These were good and at a decent price. My husband had the double bacon cheeseburger. He said it was worth the $10 happy hour price but would never pay full price. Met my son here for lunch. Solid seafood spot. I had the Texas redfish and shrimp over dirty rice with a crawfish sauce and my son ordered a shrimp po boy. Great service from Jeremiah. The restaurant had a nice cozy vibe. My son really liked his order. My only slight complaint is the portion size. The redfish wasn't too bad but I mainly just wish the dish had more shrimp. Friendly and helpful staff from the front door, to the table, to the manager who brought the food out. Food: Grilled Mediterranean Sea Bass. Seasoned perfectly. It's not rich or bland, it's refreshing and filling at the same time. Could be eaten on a hot day or by the fire place. I loved that the Chimichurri was also drizzled on the green beans and potatoes to be able to mix bites of flavor with different portions of the dish. Went to Fish City Grill with some friends for a catch up dinner, and overall, it was just okay. Nothing really stood out in a good way. The service was good, but not great, and the atmosphere was about what I expected. The real letdown was the food. I had the shrimp tacos, and they were just not good. I ate one taco and that was enough for me. My friends were not very impressed with their meals either. Maybe it was just an awful night, and I would be willing to give it another try, but based on the first visit, I was not impressed. The food was so unappealing I have no pictures. read more

I've never been there before even though I passed it numerous time so decided to try it tonight. It was excellent all around. I had the fried calamari to start with and then fried catfish with hush puppies and fries. Everything was cooked to perfection and the seasoning was excellent. My wife had the Trout with spinach and rice and thought all of it was so good. Our server with attentive but not overbearing and I also appreciated how they had beer specials before six on a Sunday night. Last week my eagerly anticipated trip to Fish City Grill was a disaster! For years Fish City has been one of my favorite places to eat and celebrate special occasions!! We had received emails about their special, Ora salmon, the Wagyu of seafood! We called ahead of time to make sure the Ora salmon was still available, and we were assured it would be available through the end of April. We made reservations and were eagerly anticipating dinner. We double checked the daily specials board online to be sure the Ora salmon was still listed. When we arrived at the restaurant, we all looked at the daily special board to verify Ora was still there. We were seated immediately. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, we flagged someone down to request water which eventually arrived. Then we were told they were out of Ora salmon as well as another special. We left! I will probably go back to Fish City Grill someday, but I will know the daily specials are not to be trusted! read more

I am one of those people who finds a favorite dish and orders the same thing every time. Let me start with I have loved this restaurant. I've been going here for years and my favorite is the Salmon. I was quite surprised to be served salmon that had about a 2 inch chunk raw section in the middle. When I brought it up to the server, he did nothing. He might've said OK but nothing. Didn't offer to fix it. Didn't reduce the bill. Nothing. It has left a bad taste in my mouth and at this point, I don't think we will ever be returning. I also want to add we had to ask to have our drinks refilled. This is totally out of the norm. We were there for lunch with about 3 other parties in the whole place so it wasn't busy. The food was amazing and Lance was a great bartender. I got a Whale Hello There, which is a crisp and light cucumber water cocktail, and I also got a dirty martini, which was also great. For dinner, they first gave me a "welcome" sampler of a few of their different soups and the oyster nachos because it was my first time there. I ended up getting a full order of the oyster nachos. I got their special of the day -- "the wagyu of the sea," a filet of salmon that was incredibly silky and smooth. We've eaten here three times and all 3 times our experience has been amazing. The oysters were incredibly fresh! The chipotle shrimp tacos were amazing as well. The crab legs were delicious!! The service has always been perfect. Lance was our waiter and he was soo knowledgeable about the menu and he was very attentive. She provided some menu samples and truly made us feel at home. There was an issue with my daughter's entree and the manager immediately remedied the issue, which showed the manager's great leadership skills.
