So I was stuck in the condo for another month at an increased rate. I have been out of the condo since March 2017 and am still waiting for my deposit. CRS was taking a long time to locate local housing that met our needs. CRS had us meet Jason at a potential property, this property would not work for our situation, but within a day after we met him for the first time had found multiple properties. Jason started to look for places for us, had set up other properties for us to look at and helped arrange everything to move the process along to get us into a temporary home just in time, so we had a place to celebrate Christmas! He worked with the home owner and their property management company, cleaned the place, set up all the utilities (power, water, garbage, cable, internet.) By far Jason was the easiest part of our entire ordeal, he was able to relieve us of so much weight that had been on our shoulders since we were not able to continue living in our own home. Jason Mayer has helped us by relieving a lot of stress from our very stressful and drawn out process of getting our home repaired so we can move back in.

So that meant our son, who is a freshmen in college (just graduated from high school last year) had to fill out an application as well. He is living with us to save money and only have to pay tuition. My husband and I both have credit scores in the 800s. Our son, who really doesn't have any credit yet due to his age and recently graduating high school, does not have any credit right now; therefore, his score is low. They denied our rental request due to our son's credit score. FYI, we spent $55 per applicant ($165 total) as well as $60 for both of our pets' "application." Also, our realtor reached out as well, since we recently sold our house, to help us with this situation. This company refuses to call our realtor back and he has called three times. This is extremely unprofessional. I do not agree with this policy, especially since there is no way to fill out another form to explain the situation. However, even if I did understand the policy, they should be more up front with the information. When we emailed the representative about our 19 year old son still living with us, she could have easily told us that there was a high chance we wouldn't get approved due to our young adult son not having a credit score. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! They will take your application fee(s) and not have any cares about extenuating circumstances or any customer service decency.

I'm extremely disappointed with the way this entire rental experience was handled. I've rented from…read moremultiple companies over the years, and this has by far been the most unprofessional and frustrating process I've ever dealt with. First of all- your office is for appoint only. In which you refuse to meet your tenants and I'm assuming it's due to the shady practices you guys are known for. I've been to your actual "unmarked" office- about 8 offices down from where it's says you guys are on google- where you all hide and brag about how "property owner" comes first but the tenant doesn't matter. The tenant is the one paying your bills- may want to rethink and restructure. From day one, communication was inconsistent, and when issues arose, it always felt like the responsibility was pushed back onto the tenant, even when we followed every step required of us. The sliding glass door situation is a perfect example -- we reported it, waited for a response, were ignored, and then somehow became responsible for a drastically inflated repair bill from the same vendor who quoted us $700 directly. Being charged $2,100 for the exact same repair is unacceptable and absolutely feels like taking advantage of tenants. Regarding my security deposit of $2,992: The home was brand new when we moved in, and we took excellent care of it. The house was still in great condition when we left -- cleaned, maintained, and without any damage beyond normal wear. The charges you've submitted do not reflect the actual condition of the home, and I do not accept the validity of the invoices you provided. I know for a fact the move-out repairs did not cost anywhere close to the deposit amount. This entire experience -- the communication, the handling of maintenance issues, the inflated charges, and the lack of accountability -- has left an extremely negative impression. I will not be recommending your company to anyone, and I will be advising friends, family, coworkers, and anyone seeking housing to avoid renting from you

With Susie Sheehan and Tim Stoner being licensed realtors sworn to a code of ethics, I felt…read moreconfident leasing through them. After adhering to all the requirements of my tenancy, I am distressed to see that they let the landlady, Aileen Loranger, help herself freely to my $2000 security deposit, instead of upholding the lease: I had agreed to pay for a professional cleaning which came to $350, leaving a balance of $1650 due to me. I had also paid a non-refundable $350 pet fee at the beginning of my 16 month lease: I received $774.55. When I called them, Susie in particular was hostile and argumentative, while Tim was dismissive that they go with whatever the landlords want. I reminded him that I had called him when I first arrived to occupy the residence about the extensive tile floor looking dirty like an army had been marching around. He just said it had been cleaned and I realized that this was decades of ground in grime and wear. The landlady added $555 for this. I sent him photos of the condition of the floor from his own rental listing and received $277.72 without any comment. This was half of the $555.45 but there is no justification for me paying anything for a floor that should have been refinished before I moved in and had to live with this. I was charged $220 for "landscape clean-up" with Susie asserting shrilly that landscaping was my responsibility. Well sure, to keep the plants healthy, but this was for a lovely vining plant with flowers cascading down the wall. It flourished during my care and Aileen wants to charge for whatever amount of trimming suits her. Furthermore, my lease states that the security deposit is for damage, no coverage for landscape clean-up. $110 was charged for some maintenance assessment, something about a light bulb (two had started to flicker at times, looked like an electrical issue) and removing a worn surface for discard. Again assessments, light bulbs, etc, are not damage that would qualify under their leasing contract. The $350 pet fee was plenty for adding to the worn surface before they threw it out. I would also like $500 returned for the week before my February 22 arrival. This was slipped in at the last minute, with Tim saying they start leases only on the 1st and 15th, an outrageous rip off.

After i replied to the question, Tim Stoner seemed to be satisfied with my answer and was in concideration of my response. I was also credit challenged and had no hope of being approved through traditional approval practices as well. And within just (Minutes) i was approved for my rental application. Ultimately i call this rental forgiveness and was given this second chance through Tim Stoner at Long Reality (Oasis) Property management Tucson Arizona. After moving into my beautiful rental i had only been there a few days and i locked my keys inside my guesthouse and called Tim Stoner immediately at 5:00 pm. Well Tim was so very understanding and went out of his way and dropped everything and came straight down within minutes to let me in. In today's market rental agents are never this understanding or willing to go to these lengths to help residents and won't make the time to do such things. I am (62) years old and never seen someone be so Kind, Considerate, Understanding and Caring towards a resident. I highly suggest to anyone wanting to get approved for a rental to come to Long Reality (Oasis) Property management Tucson, for approval. Results may vary. Rick Lyon Thanks, Oasis. As a paying renter, I expected to be treated with more respect. We had a couple of issues with paying our rent, once being told that the company never received it, and also mistakenly being told once again we didn't pay, when the money had already been withdrawn from our bank account. To remedy this issue, I thought it would be wise to hand deliver them our checks, but no one was ever in the office when they said they would be. This was extremely frustrating, and as a paying tenant, I felt a major lack of respect. When it came down to receiving our security deposit, we were charged for things that we did not break, things that were already issues when we first moved in. If you don't care how you're treated, this is the property management company for you!

When we asked questions, Sophia responded rudely. We couldn't even get a sentence in without her insulting, rude responses. Is she actually TRYING to make sure places stay empty? I would rather live in a cardboard box than be in a place that Sophia manages. She's rude, condescending, and completely uncooperative -- to people who were interested in giving her money to rent a place! Don't work with these people. No matter how good the place looks, it's not worth it dealing with even one phone call with Sophia. Run.

Once you move in, it becomes almost impossible to get in contact with management. When our AC went out during the summer, our apartment reached 101 degrees and stayed that way for a week. We were not offered a hotel or any temporary solution. We ended up paying out of pocket to fix the AC ourselves, and nothing was deducted from our rent to compensate us. When it came time to move out, communication became even worse. They ignored calls and messages, making the process unnecessarily difficult and seemingly trying to force us to continue paying rent for additional months. Safety is also a major concern. There are frequent break-ins, especially in the laundry room. Strangers regularly attempt to enter the property. I've witnessed ongoing fights, drug activity, and needles and other dangerous items left on the ground where children play. Children are often left unsupervised at the pool. This is not a safe or family-friendly environment. Management is dismissive when concerns are raised. I personally saw a neighbor assaulted by another resident, and nothing meaningful was done. Instead, it felt like management targeted and pressured residents who spoke up. The facilities are poorly maintained, safety is ignored, and the only thing that seems to matter is collecting rent. I would strongly advise anyone considering renting here to look elsewhere.
