Lunch Special menu as of 8/2/24

I first stumbled upon First Wok last year, when I was in the neighborhood getting boba at Sunright. What a gem this place is! Portions are large and the price is very reasonable. The staff is very friendly, and the food comes out hot and fresh. I especially like the house fried rice, which comes with shrimp, bbq pork, and veggies (it might have other meat in it too, but I ate it too quickly to remember!). The lunch special is a great deal too-- I picked the wonton soup to go with my curry chicken and it had three nicely sized wontons in the soup. The restaurant itself is not very large and mostly self service with napkins, sauces, and utensils on the side. They are very quick to bring your food out to you as well. I look forward to going back and trying more options!

Staff was very friendly and the food was fast! It's your standard Chinese restaurant decor of course. Food was good and fresh, nice and hot and it was fast!

The food here is pretty good. The staff here seems nice and provides quick services. We came here late at night and our food came out pretty fast after we ordered. My boyfriend love to go here and told me he frequently come to this place to eat since high school. There are plenty of tables and chair to sit in. There are plenty of items to choose from.

Wow me and my client just tried this place for the first time and man the food was fresh. We got general tso chicken and cashew chicken and it was amazing. My client stays at the landing not even a hop away from this place. Quick and delicious.

Nothing like moldy mooshoo pancakes yum.

Thought I'd give this place another try. Ordered online for 5:45. Showed up 15 minutes early and it was already done just sitting there. Mooshoo pork was wet and swimming in liquid. No flavor and just tasted like soggy vegetables. Worst thing is the pancake wraps were covered in spots of green mold. Disgusting, had eaten most of one before I noticed the rest were moldy. Never again. You can see the moldy wraps in the pics

I had the cashew chicken special. The chicken was a little salty, but there was plenty of food. The price was fair, but I'll try somewhere else next time.

The convenience of having them close to home is great. Occasionally we will eat in, but most times we order to go. The food is hot and ready before I can get there! I will sometimes walk in to order then go next door to Schnucks to pick up something and hurry back to get the order. My wife enjoys the egg drop soup and I like the hot braised pork. Over the last several years we have tried many of the dishes here and found them all good. A tip for anyone is go to Schnucks first because there is almost always a coupon on the receipt for for an order of crab Rangoon.

This food sat on a table in the middle of the customer dining area for well over 30 minutes. I sure hope they threw it out.

Been here a few times now and it is one of the most authentic Chinese spots in the city. Brought my…read moreChinese friends along and they fully approved and you can tell just by the crowd in there. Weekday visits are pretty chill but weekend dinner time gets busy, just something to plan around. Also a heads up on parking, the lot isn't very big so when it's packed it can be tough to find a spot. Would recommend carpooling if you can. I have a pretty low spice tolerance but there are still so many delicious dishes to choose from if you look around the menu. The soups are so hearty and comforting. Insider tip: the tofu egg dish is not on the menu but ask for it anyway. It is so worth it and the best way I can describe it is like eating a savory cloud puff. So unique and so good. The service is always super efficient, food comes out fast, and the staff will get you in and out. Every single dish I've had has been full of flavor and nothing has missed yet. Would absolutely come back and highly recommend.

The Salt and pepper pork was all batter no flavor at all, not even salt on that batter, it was a terrible and a big disappointment the white rice was dry, $60 for 2 entrees and Luke warm pot stickers. Not to mention the rude service we received, you have to ask for napkins and basics, which seemed to be a bother tithe rude waitress. She never once said thank you or hello Also not very clean either. I should've turned back around when we noticed the filthy glass doors. However I've been wanting to try this place for a while. Don't waste your money on this place like I did. I
