My go-to Chinese takeout in all of Bloomington-Normal. I usually get the simple but always tasty egg drop soup and pot stickers/dumplings for starters... TIP: get them fried, sooooo much better. Then the house lo mein is always tasty, and any of the combination platters that come with fried rice and egg rolls are a sure bet. They are usually quick and polite when taking orders on the phone. They don't have Chinese vegetables! Their vegetables are zucchini, broccoli, and carrots! Where are the snow peas and baby corn? Maybe a water chestnut for a little crunch. Who puts zucchini in Chinese food anyways. Yuk. read more

I was impressed as I walked into the restaurant, that the kitchen was open, and looked like a Chinese restaurant that you would walk upon in the streets of Downtown Chicago or NYC. The sesame chicken portion was double, what I was expecting. It was near perfection and exceeded my expectations. The fried rice was moist and well-balanced. My favorite chinese quick food. I eat here atleast once a week. Love the boiled dumplings. They have a variety of specials that are all well priced. As far as inexpensive chinese goes this place is great! Generous portion sizes and actually cooked well. The Chinese vegetables were green bell pepper, celery, button mushrooms, carrots, broccoli stalks and 6 peanuts. The egg rolls were fried in old dark oil. Will never go here again. The food is below average. They also forgot part of my order. When I called they said they were sure they put it in there, essentially calling me a liar. I told them they did not and I'd like it delivered since I couldn't come back. They wouldn't do it and told me I could either come back and get another one or they'd give me $1 credit. I told her the item was $2.35 + tax. She didn't care. I could either come back or just get a dollar. I asked if she thought that was appropriate customer service and she thought it was. I asked to talk to someone above her and she said she's the co-owner. If this is appropriate customer service for them then I'm not interested and I'm passing on fair warning to other customers. read more

Ordered general tso chicken and beef with broccoli for delivery. Took about 45 minutes and we finally got our food. We got the general tso chicken but instead of beef we got some kind of pork (meat was pink and breaded). Called the store and they said they would send out a new dish (which was great) they called back 10 minutes later and called us liars and said that we were wrong and we were stuck with a dish that we didn't order. Ordered online before noon. Got there before they even received fax for the order which came in at 12:09. Was told it would be 5-10 minutes. Waited and watched people come in and order and receive their food. Asked again how long it would be, after waiting 15 minutes. Was told that they had just receive the order. That was not true. After all of that my General Tso's chicken was so hard I could not even chew it. Needless to say I will not go back again. read more
