This place is "perfectly fine." It kinda leaves you half way in between the total satisfaction of just going to the IHOP across the street and going to a nicer brunch spot.... You dont really get the satisfaction of either but you don't leave hungry. Two main things I think people should know is that its usually freezing inside so even in the hot summer i would bring a hoodie or something lol - and the iced coffee situation is a little meh. They have an "iced coffee blend" they comes already premixed/made with sweetened condensed milk or some type of creamy sweetener added. Other wise an "iced coffee" is them pouring hot coffee over ice if you dont want cream or sweetener. It's usually watery by the time you get it. The creamer situation is also weird because they dont have natural heavy cream or almond milk etc.... The only creamers they have are the artificial creamers that come in flavors and in those little cups like at continental breakfasts which is just a little weird considering they advertise a lot for "healthy" dishes and juices. It's just weird. The morning meditation juice is delicious and all the food is pretty good. The servers here area always really nice. Although the food quality HAS gone down a bit over the past year or two. The side of greens is usually a little sad and wilted not to mention like 5 leaves and quite often the sides of avocado have arrived brown and just not good avocados. We've also had food consistency issues with certain dishes like the protein pesto quinoa bowl not having ingredients that were stated in the menu in it like the sun-dried tomatoes etc..... theres usually a wait on the weekends so call in ahead cause there's not that many places to hang out for elderly people and young kids in the hot sun if the wait ends up being long. The food is delicious! Slightly pricey for breakfast/brunch food for sure, but overall great food & usually decent service too. The star being knocked off is due to the parking situation. We have tried to go here quite a few times & turned around & went elsewhere due to no parking being available. It is the smallest parking lot with however many (at least 6 or 7) businesses in the same parking lot. If you go early it's not as big of a deal but mid morning or lunch time it's near impossible to park. If you can get here when parking isn't too bad definitely worth giving the place a try! I really enjoy the food here. Everything I have ordered (from the seasonal greens and grains bowl to the the ricotta lemon pancakes and the yummy juices) have been magnificent. My problem is with the customer service. It ranges from super great, to mediocre, to really bad. One time I ordered coffee with my meal at the community table, but I waited forever and the coffee never came out. I was almost done with my food when a different set of people sat in front of me who also ordered coffee, except they got theirs right away. When I pointed out to the waitress that I had been waiting for coffee longer than the new customers, she just took their pot away and gave it to me. I felt like such a douche bag for inadvertently taking their coffee. I apologized to them and explained that I'd been sitting there for a while and just wanted her to get me some coffee, not necessarily take theirs. Unfortunately they proceeded to give me dirty looks for he duration of the meal--and this is why I will never sit at the community table ever again. This wasn't the only time I've received bad service l, but I don't want to overshadow the good food with more complaints. Bottom line is: I recommend the food, but customer service needs some work. read more

First Watch is a Florida staple and favorite! Every location is a little different in terms of service and quality, so we were a little hesitant but were very happy with our experience! Here in Tampa, I've heard people talk about First Watch so I wanted to go and see what the hype is all about for myself. Upon entering, the place is very urban and modern which had a nice feel to it. Our waitress was very nice and attentive throughout our meal. Now for the food: I went with an omelet which, in my opinion, you can never go wrong no matter where you go. I always enjoy going to First Watch. Their food (and quality of the food) is great! They can be a little pricey though, so just be aware of that going in - I usually spend $15-20 for breakfast/brunch, includIng coffee and food. Also, this location the parking can be quite horrendous- not that that is necessarily the restaurant's fault, but there has been more than occasion where we went to eat here, drove around the parking lot for a few minutes, couldn't find parking and got frustrated so we decided to go somewhere else for breakfast. They do offer online orders, which can be convenient for work lunch or if you want to eat at home. The wait staff are always friendly and helpful. read more

Was craving their pancakes so decided to try the new First Watch near our home. I ordered a pancake, fruit cup and iced tea. Hubby had the Breakfast tacos with black beans and coffee. My pancake was good but cold, ate all of it. Fruit cup was loaded with honeydew melon which I hate. My fault I didn't say when I ordered it that I didn't want any, but our waitress went and got me another cup of fruit w/o the honeydew. Very nice. Iced tea was bland, was never given a refill. Hubby devoured his meal and said the coffee was wonderful. Bill was $27 before tip. Was too expensive for what we got. Service was just ok. Loved the decor of the building. My grandparent's recommended this place when I came into town to visit them and well...there's a reason why I've been here twice. We came in here waiting for a table, and my grandmother love's the "rustic" look the restaurant has. We were told the wait was around 30 minutes but we were seated in 15. Already a plus for us! My grandfather got eggs scrambled, toast and bacon. My grandmother ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes which were light and OMG so delicious. I had a bite to taste and wanted to steal Grandma's plate! I ordered the Morning Market Veggie Omelet. The omelet wasn't greasy and not overly packed with eggs (sometimes omelets come with the insides not fully cooked, this wasn't the case at this breakfast spot). Of course, Goat Cheese is my favorite so that made my omelet even better! It's served with a little salad on the side and because I was excited about it, we ordered two orders of the Millionaire Bacon. It was good to try, but I decided to stick with the regular bacon during the next visit. The coffee always tastes fresh and even though it was busy both times I've been there, they waitstaff never show it and are SUPER when it comes to customer service. During the second visit, my grandmother ordered the Veggie omelet but forgot the goat cheese is on it, she told the waitress and with no problem, they switched it out for one without Goat cheese! She was super sweet for that! I ended up getting Chile Chorizo omelet and while it was ok, again I never felt like the omelet was too greasy and they give you just enough. On the way out, I got a Green Juice, I forget the name, but it was damn tasty. My grandmother who hates kale tasted my juice and liked it a lot. I know breakfast places are always busy on a Sunday but the wait was 35 to 40minutes to seated and then we waited another 30 min. to be served our food. My husband ordered the pumpkin pancake special with eggs over easy. When it finally arrived, one of the eggs was broken and had run all over the plate and they had sprinkled chopped chives all over the eggs and some on the pancake. Chives with pancakes? My husband isn't one to return things so he scraped them off but did get a few bites of pumpkin pancake with onion flavor! Gross! I had the Truffled Mushroom Hash which was okay. Fresh ingredients but kind of greasy and very salty. It was a pricy at $32.00 plus the tip for a mediocre breakfast for two and a very long wait.
