I have enjoyed majority of First Watch locations in Raleigh over the years. This Glenwood South location is by far the BEST. Everyone is kind and welcoming. Happy to be working and serving customers. I ordered the Tribeca (1 carrot cake pancake, fried egg and smoked ham). This arrived to my table fresh and piping hot. I really enjoy this. Simple and satisfied my lunch time craving. I'm glad that they have all day breakfast.

Bacado Omelet this is only half as I packaged the other half.

Fresh and Flavorful Brunch! Loved this brunch spot!! Everything tasted so fresh, especially with the herbs that made each dish pop. The vibe was cozy, the service was great, and the fresh juice bar was the perfect touch. Can't wait to come back! Great service..

I went for brunch at 10 am on a Saturday and service was amazing. We were able to find bar seating right away and after ordering, our food came out super quick. It may have only been 10 minutes after ordering which was surprising! The food was flavorful and cooked well. The donuts were delicious! They were warm, soft, and when dipped in the caramel, decadent. The Benedict had a hint of lemon from the greens and the eggs were cooked perfectly for a Benedict. All the staff were friendly and attentive. This is a great casual brunch spot for family or even a date.

Great breakfast spot. All the food was fresh and done really well. We sat at the bar, and it's a big beautiful place with lots of windows. They have these big garage windows that open up to go outside. I would go to this spot again!

It's always a good visit to First Watch. Servers are always friendly and quick. The food is always fresh and leave no complaints. I got the shrimp and grits and was very pleased. It may be seasonal so get it while you can. I always have my kale morning drink it's yummy. My guy had a turkey wrap and was a little disappointed when it was not like lunch meat so that was mid to him. They stay busy but other than that crush everything runs so smoothly. We always get reservations and there is a wait but the atmosphere relaxed so it's never an issue.

Coffee Carafe

The downtown First Watch is fairly easy to get into on a week day. The best thing about it was we were given an entire carafe of delicious coffee! Our server was lovely and did an efficient job. My husband had the classic Benedict. I had the Bacado omelet which was bacon, avocado and Monterey Jack cheese. Something I loved is that you can actually get a healthy side with fruit. Most brunch places just seem to be over the top with fried potatoes! The ambiance is a typical fast casual breakfast spot. You pay for your meal at the cash register at the front door.

Shrimp & grits, potatoes, Hawaiian French toast.

Walked into this location during brunch hours on a Saturday! Surprisingly, parking was not a headache and there was not a wait. The special was shrimp & grits & the Hawaiian French toast. My husband gave the French toast an 8/10 - he had them take off the coconut whipped cream, but later tried it on the side and said it was cool. The shrimp and grits were decent, 7/10 but I prob would not order again since it lacked flavor. Potatoes were good as usual! Tried the pomegranate sunrise & it was delicious & fruity, the kale tonic was good as always too. Location was clean and our server was attentive. Spot was clean and not too busy just how I like! It tends to be a bit chilly inside of their locations so bring something to cover your arms.

The French toast was delicious. Service was quick and attentive. I loved that the restaurant was not super busy or loud. Great place to grab breakfast.

French Toast, Pork Sausage, Grits

Great service, friendly staff, fast delivery. French toast was as good as I've ever had. Fluffy and sweet, definitely recommend. The sausage was also a good choice. Juicy and not overcooked. The grits were OK, they tasted a bit bland, would probably get homefries/hashbrowns next time.

Chickichanga

My boyfriend and I had a few errands to run in Raleigh on Sunday, so we decided to give First Watch a try. I had the Chickichanga and my boyfriend had the Tri-fecta. Everything along with the coffee and service was just ok. I don't think we would go out of our way to return.

Theresa Dickerson Mar 1, 2023, 11:56 AM EST I'd give them 10 stars if they were available. Our dinning experience was absolutely amazing! We were greeted at the door by the General Manager, John Harris who showed us to our table. Everything was spotless and the team of employees were all smiles and eager to assist. Our beverages came lightning fast and our food was picture perfect. Everything tasted amazing and I'm so glad there is still great service and food to be had in Raleigh. My family and I will most definitely be back!

Farmhouse Hash

We went to this location of First Watch for their friends & family soft opening event and it was so fun! They were training up their staff, so our meals were free and we left gratuity and donated to Make A Wish in lieu of a bill. The wait staff was as friendly as can be. I ordered the market hash with poached eggs which was delicious and came with fresh fruit. Everyone else loved their meals (pictured). We got the million dollar bacon which was good, but probably a skip for me as i can likely make it at home. My friend gets the farm stand tacos every time she goes to First Watch and claims they are the best thing ever!!!! Overall a great location (they validate parking for the deck next door)!

Tri-Fecta

Food was amazing we got seated pretty quickly and everyone was nice. I usually get the trifecta very good.

The shakshouka crepe was disappointing because while it had good flavor did not have the taste of shakshouka. No rich tomato flavors, cumin, or paprika. It was overwhelmed by the veggies places in it. The sauce was too little to balance out. Unfortunately because of those reasons it tasted pretty bland. Honestly, I would have gotten something different if I knew it was not really shakshouka. Service was good and they checked on us a few times to make sure everything was good. It has a nice interior and patio.

This morning, I walked in and saw not one familiar face there, and I've come to learn all the staff walked out simultaneously weeks ago. After getting to know many of the staff over the years of frequenting there, anything to make every staff member walk out at the same time has to be big enough to leave a sour taste in your mouth. Am truly sad to see such a Raleigh staple not see the value in the community their staff created. Cheers to Joe, Brennan, Brett, amber, and all of the others past a present (shout out Tim and Casey and Jackie!) for their place in our lives over all of these years! If you are looking for a coffee nearby, jubala (pendo), black & white (videri), heirloom are all great options (and sir Walter coffee and 42 & Lawrence are decent and close)

I tried the passionfruit mango cruffin and the brown butter crookie. Both were spot on with their flavors. There's one spot to order, though they do a brisk takeout business. Once ordered, items come out quickly. There is some seating, and if you order to stay, then they'll bring your items to the table.
