It's a cute little place. The workers are very nice. It's very clean inside. The food is great. My first time at First Watch was earlier this month and I already came back a second time. I can't wait to go back again in the future to try different items on the menu

Cute & clean & vibrant! incredibly extensive menu as well as seasonal offerings... Attention to detail you can tell is very important with the food and how it presented. A little disappointed the service was a bit lackluster and also... the Florentine eggs Benedict - only came with about a tablespoon of hollandaise sauce... It was good but not enough & was surprised I had to add salt to the guacamole... But a repeat place for sure!

This is the breakfast bowl with sausage and I added chicken. AMAZING

WOW. I'm so in awe of this location. I have been to 3 other locations that are nice. This location is above and beyond my expectations. From the friendliness of the hostess. To my waitress Megan. She was on top of every detail. My drink never went dry and it was service with a smile from the start. I ordered the same meal I always get at each location but I was given options that I was never asked at the others. When my food can to the table the presentation was breathtaking in comparison to the others where it's already mixed up and you have to fork through the food to see the ingredients. I spoke with the manager because I didn't want this kind of service to go unrecognized. First Watch Pittsburgh if I could give 10 starts that what you would have received. Thank you for making my day and it's only 10:30am.

Ordered an avocado chopped salad. The salad was flavorful and certainly plentiful. Why do these chain places insist on serving non-Heinz ketchup in Pittsburgh?

Service was fast and friendly, though not super attentive, portions were a nice size. Omelettes were fresh and tasty. Million dollar bacon was perfection. Cinnamon roll was dry (tasted baked from frozen, but homemade) but overall good. They ran out of cinnamon chips for pancakes by 11:30 am which was disappointing because boy oh boy did they sound delightful. Overall, the experience was a decent one. Menu variety and number of great flavors continue to stand out for me here, even if something is rarely the best I've had. Not a bad choice for a solid breakfast or brunch.

While we almost never eat breakfast at a restaurant when we're home, circumstances required that today. First Watch was the best fit geographically, so we entered the overflowing place. It was hectic and packed, but we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. Service was breakfasty, quick and efficient, due largely to the limited menu choices and lack of alcohol. We ordered the classic eggs Benedict, with potatoes for me. The eggs were a little disappointing, not really classic, with chipped ham instead of Canadian bacon. The sauce was wimpy too. The potatoes were good. Obviously others like this place, but I think it's nothing special and not really worth the $50 for breakfast for 2.

I absolutely love coming here. Their coffee is so much better than the other breakfast restaurants in the area and their bacon is addicting! I tried their crab omelet on their summer menu. They have a decent amount of crab with veggies. The potatoes were perfectly prepared. No complaints here! I usually come here when they first open and service is always excellent. They also have an outdoor area with a few tables.

For a franchise/corporate owned restaurant, eating here exceeded expectations. They have a fun menu with rotating specials. The breakfast tacos were great. Our server was attentive. The prices are a little high for what it is. We sat at the outdoor patio which was quaint. Overall, I would recommend First Watch to others looking for a hip but casual brunch spot.

This is a great option for fresh and healthy (if you choose) brunch items. I came with a group of 4 on a Sunday, and the crowd/wait was extensive. I checked in online ahead of time, and the system estimated a wait of 1 and 1/2 hours. We got there a bit early, but still had to wait beyond the estimated time. Once we got seated, the wait was behind us and we were greeted with delicious food and excellent service. I ordered the chickichanga, directly bypassing the many healthy options on the menu. It was definitely worth every calorie! However, my dad is on a keto diet and he had no problems finding something suitable on the menu. They even customized one of the menu items to make it keto friendly for him. To drink, I ordered the morning meditation, which was a beautiful looking drink and tasted just as good. Everyone at our table was satisfied with their food and drinks. Our server was friendly and accommodating, keeping everyone's drinks full and making sure we were all happy. Despite being a chain, this is an excellent establishment that seems to really care about providing good food and good service.

Very cool looking building, and the outdoor seating near the water and the fire makes you feel like you're on vacation. The waiter was also super friendly and played along with our jokes. He strongly recommended the chimichurri chicken, so I ordered it. I like that there's a healthier part of the menu too, although with what I ordered, I wish there were more salad greens. It tasted excellent with the chimichurri sauce, but I wish it was less heavy on the rice. More lettuce greens and less rice, or even completely swapping the rice for a salad, would have made me like this a lot more. Maybe even just calling it or having the option for a chimichurri salad and making it a really robust salad with more greens and vegetables. The rice wasn't bad, just kind of an excessive portion and didn't really go with the meal. My friend really loved his burger, and the pulled pork sandwich was good. While I'm not usually a French fry person, theirs were good, and I would actually recommend serving the fries with the spicy cheese dip they serve with the soft pretzels to take it up a notch. That was an interesting choice for an appetizer. While I'm not really a beer person, I can say the beer they serve here is very smooth after trying a sip lol. We especially loved hanging out by the fire pit after, especially since it was a chilly night. There's just something so comforting about sitting by a fire.

My husband and I have eaten here twice--once for lunch last year and once for dinner this year. Both times, we enjoyed the employees' service and the foods. Here are my ratings for what we ate: Passionfruit-Paloma Mocktail - 4 stars - sour. Spring Sangria - 4.5 stars - slightly fruity. Jumbo Pretzel - 5 stars - huge size with beer cheese and mustard sauce. French Onion Soup - 5 stars - This soup had a rich broth, onions, and cheese. Ybor Cuban sandwich - 4.5 stars - nicely crunchy toast with tasty pork, ham, and Swiss cheese and a side of crispy onion rings. Salmon - 5 stars - I ordered this entree both times. The salmon was perfectly cooked and came with flavorful farro grains, cherry tomatoes, and asparagus. Filet Mignon - 5 stars - This 8-ounce steak was cooked mid-rare as my husband prefers. It came with whipped potatoes and his choice of au poivre style (black pepper crusted with bourbon cream).

Excellent Food in a Family-Owned Spot, But Transparency, Noise, and a Few Service Touches Need…read morePolishing (4/5 Overall)** I visited Wexford Public (12087 Perry Hwy, Wexford, PA) recently for dinner with my family, drawn by its reputation as a locally owned, chef-driven American restaurant in the heart of Wexford. Owned by longtime locals John and Melanie Dober, it positions itself as a warm, community-focused spot blending upscale comfort food with a welcoming vibe--think handcrafted sandwiches, premium Black Angus steaks, fresh seafood, flatbreads, and daily specials, all with thoughtful wine and bourbon selections. We were excited for what promised to be a polished neighborhood gem, and in many ways, it delivered. The food was genuinely great and the clear highlight. Our dishes were flavorful, well-executed, and creative without being fussy--fresh ingredients shone through, portions were generous, and everything arrived hot and beautifully plated. It's easy to see why so many reviewers rave about the crab cakes, steaks, and chef specials; the kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. This is elevated American fare that feels special yet approachable, and we'd happily return just for the meals. That said, a few aspects fell short and left us feeling the overall experience wasn't quite as seamless as the food deserved. First and foremost, the billing transparency issue was disappointing. They add a 3% bank/credit card processing fee to the check (which adds up quickly on a family dinner), but this isn't disclosed on the menu, at the table, or in any obvious way during the ordering process. There's only a small sign posted outside the restaurant. We only noticed it when the bill arrived, and it felt like an afterthought rather than a clear policy. In an era where many restaurants are upfront about surcharges (or absorb them), this lack of disclosure came across as sneaky and detracted from the otherwise positive value perception. The atmosphere was another mixed bag. The space itself is attractive--soft lighting, comfortable seating, and that friendly "upscale brew pub" energy the owners aim for. However, it was noticeably noisy during our evening visit. Conversations required raised voices, especially as the dining room filled up, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal fully. OpenTable rates the noise as "moderate," but on our night it tipped louder than that, possibly due to the layout or lack of sufficient sound absorption. A bit more attention to acoustics could make a big difference. Service was mostly attentive and efficient, but the management interaction stood out in a negative way. When we politely mentioned the surprise fee at the end of the meal, the response was an apology that felt scripted and insincere--like it had been delivered many times before without real follow-through or ownership. It didn't leave us feeling heard or valued as guests. On a brighter note, the owners John and Melanie genuinely come across as lovely people. The restaurant has that personal, homegrown touch you can sense even when they're not physically present, and locals speak highly of them. They were absent during our nighttime visit, though, which is understandable for owners juggling a busy operation--but their warmth is missed when the front-of-house team is handling everything solo. In summary, Wexford Public excels where it matters most: the food is consistently excellent and worth the trip on its own. The family-owned charm and diverse menu make it a strong neighborhood choice for special occasions, casual dinners, or even happy hour in the cocktail bar. However, clearer communication about the credit card fee (ideally on the menu or bill upfront), better noise management, and more authentic handling of guest concerns would elevate it from very good to outstanding. We'll likely go back for the cuisine, but with tempered expectations on the finer details. If you're in the Wexford area and prioritize great American plates, it's still a solid recommendation--just check the small print before you pay.

For our meals, the hostess and waitress promptly and politely served us. Here are my reviews for the foods: Pretzel bites - 4.5 stars - This appetizer was a large size. We really liked the flavor of the pretzels and the honey-mustard dip. We thought that the cheese dip was OK. Pulled-pork nachos - 5 stars - This appetizer of nachos was huge! Many tortilla chips were topped with gooey cheese, pulled pork, jalapeños, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Fried deviled eggs - 4 stars - The egg white was breaded and fried. It contained a yolk filling and was topped with a spicy jalapeño. We prefer traditional deviled eggs, but these ones tasted good. Mix-and-match soft tacos - 4.5 stars - The pulled-pork taco contained pulled pork and vegetable toppings that were very flavorful. For the brisket taco, I enjoyed the flavor of the brisket and toppings, but the juices made the tortilla soggy and caused it to fall apart. Shrimp tacos - 4.5 stars - These were on sale on a Thursday. The shrimp were breaded, and the toppings of napa slaw, mango salsa, and chipotle aioli tasted very good. Meat entrees - 4.5 stars - My husband liked the smoked chicken the most (5 stars), and he described it as being "delicious." We also ate ribs (4.5 stars), kielbasa (4 stars), brisket (5 stars), salmon (4 stars, needs more seasoning), and pulled pork (4.5 stars). Macaroni and cheese - 5 stars - My husband said that this macaroni was the cheesiest thing that he has ever eaten. He described it as "delicious." I ate some of the macaroni, and I agree that it was extremely cheesy. French fries - 5 stars - These fries were perfectly crispy and salty. Grilled vegetables - 4.5 stars - I wanted to make my meals more nutritious, so I chose a side of grilled vegetables, which are seasonal and included peppers, corn, squash, and zucchini. This mix of veggies had a very good flavor. Side salad - 4 stars - This salad contained a lettuce mix, some tomatoes, some pickled onions, and my choice of dressing. It was fresh but was slightly plain. Pork 'n beans - 3 stars - My husband ordered this side. He ate only a small amount of the beans and sauce, and he thought that they tasted just OK. For drinks, we had iced tea, diet Pepsi, and water. The waitresses brought refills.

We had a few beers and the bartender was good. She was attentive and was waiting on 20 folks at the bar as well as table drinks. The manager was able to help serve some food to help her out but never once asked us how everything was. That was a little bit of a missed opportunity in my opinion for a new business.
