Tomato soup was piping hot and the half soup half salad was a pleasant lunch for the indecisive and health conscious. They forgot the feta cheese but it didn't diminish the experience. The soup had chunks of tomato, spiced well, not sweet and not too salty. Sprite got chocolate chip pancake was a little dry but tasted swell; and might have been helped with a handful of chocolate chips hurled atop. Ornery, aloof and disaffected teenager got the chickamunga and said it was "one of the best foods he's ever eaten" before turning back to his iPhone and sharing a quip with a non-disclosed virtual friend. The lemon ricotta pancakes were a welcomed surprise as my daughter was uneasy about her choice. The pancakes came with three 'blobs' of a thick, vibrant, yellow custard along with around a dozen cut up strawberries. When cutting into the pancakes they were quite flaky but this was only due to the fact that they were airy. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Finally came in and tried something new! Our server was great especially with them having a New Years Day brunch rush. I had the Farmhouse Hash and loved it. The avocado was fresh and all of the bowl ingredients went well together. The portion was great for $10ish dollars. I left stuck and wasn't expecting to get a fruit cup or toast with this entree because it is very filling. They had a seasonal dessert of doughnut holes with three dipping sauces. The craving frosting and fruit preserve were my favorite for the doughnuts. The doughnuts were also amazing plain and were dusted with cinnamon sugar. I'm assuming the doughnuts were seasonal because I've never seen them at other locations but I hope they bring these back and bring them to all locations if it was a local exclusive. My Benedict was not bad but definitely lacked a tad bit more smoked salmon. I couldn't really taste the salmon more than I could the tomatoes. I looked at the carton and gave the eggs the side-eye. I KNEW they didn't look right. I grabbed a fork and cut into them and they started running like Usain Bolt. I repacked everything, grabbed my purse and keys, and headed back to First Watch. I asked to speak with the manager, explained the situation, asked for a refund and turned in the free gift card. When I first walked in everything was busy but organized I got seated immediately and the hostess was very kind! I did come alone so I had a smaller size table right by the window which is nice. The restaurant is very nice I've been to a first watch in south Florida so I was expecting the same exact interior design but it's not! It's still unique and pretty. I order the salmon frittata and it was delicious the salmon it's self was little too salty for me but still very good. The mimosas are also just fine aswell! The food got here at great speed and the server brought me everything I needed when I needed it! One thing that made me a little upset was that she didn't check in to see if I was gonna order anymore food after I started eating :) she just handed me a check and said "once you finish up you can check out with the hostess up front" and it's not the end of the world that she made my lunch a little quicker than I expected BUT it would have been nice to be asked if I wanted to order anything else before she got the check. Been here twice in the past month! I always love to try the different juices they have, but my all time favorite is definitely the morning meditation. Some of the other drinks can be a little too sweet for me. I tried the smoked salmon tzaziki seasonal dish they have and absolutely loved it! It was a lot more than I was expecting though but I happily inhaled it. I usually do the market veggie hash, and at least one pancake, each and every time I go. I have eaten the farm stand breakfast tacos and the elevated egg sandwich twice, because it's that good. You wouldn't think that a breakfast sandwich could make you close your eyes and be content with your entire life, but trust me it's that good. I scarfed down the breakfast tacos as well, so I would order them again. I just think it needed a little crunch to offset all the softer components. Overall, great place, amazing food! Not a great interaction to start but the rest of the visit was good. If you've been to other older locations, this one is a departure with industrial meets rustic decor. It was noisier than other locations, so be aware of that. Our server was friendly and kind, offered to pour my coffee to leave room for cream. Loved that! She was attentive even though it was fairly busy (1:30 pm on a Sunday). Hubby commented that the food had become 'fru fru' since our last visit 2 years ago in Ft. Lauderdale. We are familiar with the chain from living in Kansas City, Mo. The food is decidedly more health conscious now, but breakfast staples still offered for the traditional breakfast eater. Hubby had the Everything omelet with toast and breakfast potatoes. There was a salad option instead of potatoes. Hubby is not a salad eater for breakfast. :-) He said everything tasted fine. I had biscuits and gravy with turkey sausage gravy, scrambled eggs with gruyere cheese added and breakfast potatoes. All was delicious. The eggs were top quality. Gravy tasted like it was made from scratch. I couldn't tell the difference between that and regular sausage gravy. Million dollar bacon was too heavy on cayenne for our taste. Otherwise tasted as it should. My teenage son said his grilled cheese sandwich was really delicious and fresh fruit side was yummy too. Tables were socially distanced, staff were wearing protection, hand sanitizer at the door, and check-in is done all through your phone via text. My boyfriend and I were promptly seated but waited a bit for our waitress. She seemed overwhelmed but was polite. We had ordered hot tea, million dollar bacon, and a couple of omlettes. It took a bit, but we eventually got our tea and soon the meals. Unfortunately, she had forgotten about the bacon. I asked her about it though and she apologized, said it was on her. The omlettes were great, especially mine which was had smoked salmon. It was evenly cooked, fluffy, and bursting with flavor. My boyfriend loved his, the works, and it was completely stuffed with ingredients. When we finally got the bacon, it was beautiful. Completely worth the wait. It was so crispy, with sweet maple, and a hint of spice (I think it was cajun), a wonderful explosion in one bite. I wonder if you can figure out what I loved most By the time we hit the register, the hostess checked us out and seemed to have an issue with our ticket. When she gave us the total and I checked the receipt, they still charged us for the bacon. She asked me if I wanted a refund but I didn't bother. The bacon was delicious.
