    Brooklyn breakfast sandwich
    Sharaun F.

This place never misses! I tried the Brooklyn breakfast sandwich and my party also had the chocolate chip pancake with egg and bacon. The service was great! They were busy, but did a great job clearing tables. I love it here and can't wait to try something different next time. The menu changes so I like to try different things. I will always order the bacon, tho!

First Watch is generally a solid option for breakfast, but my visit to this location was disappointing. The wait was short to be seated, but we had to wait about 10 minutes for our waitress to come to our table. When she finally showed up, she brought a carafe of coffee, which would have been great if we had mugs to use. Sadly, our carafe was rendered useless because we never got mugs even though we asked. The food tasted fine and as expected (though my over medium egg was incredibly undercooked). We barely saw our waitress and she basically did the bare minimum. We saw that we were charged for coffee we never got to consume, but she never came back to our table so we couldn't address it with her. Thankfully, the woman seating people and cashing out checks took it off for us. The women's restroom was also in need of attention. Empty, broken toilet paper holders in the stalls which resulted in several rolls of toilet paper being strewn about the stalls. The paper towel dispenser on the wall was also empty and a roll of paper towels were placed on the counter near the sink, which meant the roll was wet too. I know good experiences can be had at this chain, but I won't be back to this location.

Mid, very underwhelming. I ordered my food to go and waited an extremely long time. My eggs were cooked wrong and had to be remade so that added even more time and my food was very oily? Not sure where the excess came from. I could've went without this meal honestly.

I want to love First Watch. There are so many things they do well, like the carafe of coffee and so many accoutrements at the table I don't have to ask for. The table service is regularly helpful and can answer menu questions and give recommendations. And, most of the time the food is good. What could be better: 1. Have outdoor seating setup. The outdoor seating at this location was out but not available, not enough severs, and it was a perfect morning to dine outdoors. 2. Don't burn the sweet potatoes in the million dollar hash. It makes them bitter. 3. Take payment at the table. We had to wait while a table of 4 paid separately and it took a long time. We didn't have a lot of time. 4. Serve half and half that's fresh instead of rip top disposables. It would be environmentally friendlier, tastier, and classier.

This First Watch has large windows and a nice layout. A large parking lot is in front. We had a group of seven. We chose the community table over the large booths with an added chair. The wait staff was attentive. The menu was large, and portions were nice. Pancakes were dinner plate size. The grits were good with butter or cheese. The omelets, eggs Benedict, and avocado toast came with home potatoes or wilted greens. Juice came in large glasses, and coffee was nice. Definitely a nice go-to spot for breakfast in Pinecrest. Afterward, shop or walk around the shopping area.

This is my second bad experience with this first watch. I am convinced that I will not be returning to this location. I ordered my food to good and of course my potatoes was burnt, the fruit preserve was not in my bag. The service was good but the food isn't on point like other locations.

We wanted a fresh breakfast and we were 100% satisfied. All of our food and drinks we so delicious. Unfortunately it definitely wasn't the fastest service but we went on a busy Saturday morning so we weren't expecting much. Staff was all very accommodating and friendly. We sat outside which made for plenty of people watching because it faces a parking lot of a large shopping center(which I recommend looking around). The inside was nicely decorated and most importantly clean. By far the best iced coffee I've had! We all tried something different and everything was great. Great sized portions and cost was great. We loved it so much we went back the next weekend to try more!

Little bit of avocado on one side of the bread!

I always loved First Watch. It was my go-to-place at home and while traveling. However! It has changed. On one visit the avocado toast was toast with a small scoop of avocado. Other trips, I had to sent the potatoes because they were so salty they burned my mouth and my daughter's. Go to today, I ordered the elevated egg sandwich and asked that the bacon be replaced by an extra egg since it came with one egg and I am a vegetarian. First, I was not told there would be an additional $2.39 charge for the egg. Which cost more an egg or bacon? Four extra words. Then, I looked at the avocado on the sandwich. It was a tablespoon's worth on one side of the bread (see picture). I told the server, before I knew about the up-charge for the extra egg, and barely got, "sorry about that." Once again, some forkfuls of the potatoes were super salty. Folks can always add the amount of salt they want after they get their meal. Hypertension is real!!! These are symptoms of management/leadership/team members not caring. So sad, my go-to-place has become an only-at-last-resort-place. First Watch you can do so much better! To clarify, these last visits were all at this location, 400 Park Ave.

Stopped in for breakfast as we have First Watch at home. The food is consistent, eggs were cooked well and the avocado toast had a good amount of avocado on it. Service was a bit slow but still made it to my meeting on time.

Shoutout to my boss for being a good sport and agreeing to lunch with me here for my 2-hr annual performance review! I ordered the spicy crab toast $16 and lavender blueberry collagen latte $5. The toast did have enough crab meat but was skimpy everywhere else and was zero % spicy! There were 2 skinny pieces of jalapenos but no extra drizzle of red chili oil or sriracha or anything. The melted cheese was good, but 1/2 slice of tomato, 1 thin piece of lettuce and like 4 strands of microgreens should not have been this pricey. It's fine for a light lunch but at this price I could've gotten a big bowl of authentic ramen with a bunch more ingredients! The latte was good but I wish there wasn't as much ice. Tucked in Coventry neighborhood, there's Phoenix Coffee. The first thing you notice walking in is the vibe -- warm exposed brick walls, quirky and ever-changing local art (currently fairytale motif), and the smell of seriously strong, seriously good coffee. The Siren Eclipse art on the wall is alone worth the visit. And the scones? Unreal. Flaky, buttery, and somehow always fresh out of the oven. Really probably the best around. There's also other breakfast snacks like muffins and such. Very limited options but very tasty. Bonus points for the greenery -- the place doubles as a mini plant shop. There's a few leafy ones you can pick up. I got large drip coffee while I was there and it perfectly strong. There's two size options, light or dark roast. The menu also features some seasonal favorites. I had recently spring matcha there that was so vibrantly green. There's also a pretty extensive tea assortment. For warmer months, consider seating outside. They have very fun and aesthetically pleasing wooden benches. Street parking is available in the area but it gets busy. Get a free 12 oz of coffee here with any coffee beans purchase!…read more Rising Star Roasters is my destination for a strong cup of coffee. It's by far my favorite local coffee shop chain. I frequent this location inside Van Aken Market Hall. This coffee stand is located right as you walk into the main doors of the market hall. You'll need to go to the counter, order your food and/or drinks, and wait for the order to be called (typical coffee shop experience). Wait can be a little long during peak hours but it's worth it! You can then select various seating options inside the market or outside. Various options are available inside - comfy leather-like couches, leather-like booths, individual or group tables, and high tops. Outside you'll find tables immediately outside of the Van Aken Market Hall or seasonally on the lawn. If you stop by during the right times, you'll find the district bustling with music and seasonal events. It's also always a good idea to pick up a cup of coffee then go cowork at AO or browse the local shops. The menu at this and other locations is concise and simple. You can get brewed coffee, tea, espresso, lattes, and seasonal drinks. The menu is straightforward and not confusing. My morning go-to's are usually perfectly strong iced coffees. I also always pick up something from the specials menu. All specialty drinks are very well made and consistently prepared. I have never had any drinks here that disappointed me. Small batch snacks are available at this location such as croissants and tea biscuits. I sometimes purchase a snack here or patronize other vendors at the market. All coffee beans at Rising Star are top notch. I recently learned that they have a dedicated coffee buyer who travels to coffee farms and brings coffee back to Cleveland. They're also incredibly serious about their roasting process and have a local roastery. How amazing is that especially for a local coffee shop?! You can pick up beans at their location that are named after regions of where the coffee farms are located. Each coffee bean bag has taste notes listed on the bag, choose your adventure! Coffee bean bag prices vary from $16-19. They'll roast them for you and tailor to your coffee preparation method (i.e. coffee press). If you purchase coffee beans in store, you can get free 12 oz drip coffee! You can also order them online and they'll be roasted within 48 hours of shipping. I love to explore their coffees, get something new every time. I highly recommend this location for your coffee cravings! While you're here, look out for notNeutral coffee mug - sleek, 12 oz, and must have.
