I was not sure of what to expect dining here at First Watch. I came here on a Sunday and the line was nearly out the door. But the service and time waiting to be seated was awesome. I was seated within 5 minutes at a nice corner booth. My server Breanna was great. She made sure that my food order and drink was correctly. She was friendly and very attentive. My husband and I were looking for a easy breakfast place near our hotel. First Watch was across the street and we've been to others in Indiana so it was a pretty easy decision. It's in a strip mall so pretty easy to find a parking spot. At 9:00 am there was no wait and we were sat right away but by 10 the lobby was full amd seemed like a 20 minute wait. The server brought me a whole coffee pitcher and water pitcher which was greatly appreciated. She also kept my husband's drink filled. We went with the smoked applewood maple/chives bacon strips. These are absolutely phenomenal!!! Crisp but not hard... and burst with maple flavor but not overwhelming. For entrees, I got the crab Benedict. It was seasoned with Ole Bay and tasted very fresh! The crab was not fishy either. The eggs were perfectly done. My better half got the tower egg sandwich. My parents and I have made two consecutive Sunday visits to First Watch and I am happy to report this might be our new favorite restaurant. I really wish this had been around in the '80s when we actually lived in Oak Brook, but it's nice to see so many options now around 22nd and Midwest Rd. I don't think there is anything on this menu that doesn't come out to the table looking like a work of art. The portions are perfect: not a crazy amount of food ... just right. The fruit juices are beautiful to see and even people who dislike kale will like the kale tonic :) Our favorite dishes so far are the chia superfood bowl (though the toast with almond butter requires lots of water to digest), both frittatas, the pancakes, and the egg white power wrap. After 30 minutes I went in to check on the status of our table and was told that she could not seat us because people who reserved tables online had priority over people who were actually waiting in line.
