Everything was fresh and clean. The potatoes was something I've never had before but I LOVED it. No complaints there. The waitress never came back to our table. She brought our food and that was it. I don't think that's how you do it but ok. I still left a tip. My kids are picky and they were meh about it. I think I'll treat myself to a fantastic breakfast minus the little ones.
Our group probably looked like crazy people sitting in the parking lot at 6:53 am waiting for them to open but my mom and I had just been picked up from the airport and wanted breakfast haha Obviously, parking was easy and we were greeted and seated right away since we were the first customers of the day. We ordered the breakfast tacos, smoked salmon frittata, and biscuits and gravy. The food came out quickly and the portion sizes were generous. We all enjoyed what we got and highly recommend this place for breakfast/brunch!
This review is overdue. I've been to this First Watch more than a handful of times and I have not been disappointed. I have tried different dishes from here and just this past Sunday, I tried the B.E.C. from their Spring menu. It was so good! The sandwich itself and the simple salad that it came with, were very fresh and delicious. Another favorite of mine from here is the smoked salmon frittata. Service is consistently attentive and efficient. The place is neat, the bathrooms are clean, and parking is easy. It gets super busy especially on the weekends so it's a great idea to get there early or be prepared to wait. 'Til next time!
Parking is free and plentiful in the parking lot in front and to the side of the entrance of restaurant at the end of a strip mall. Restaurant was clean and roomy it was pretty empty but still took a bit to be seated. Food was pretty good but eggs over medium were over cooked and eggs poached were very under cooked. Potatoes would have been better had the onions not been burned. Mimosas were served as a glass of orange juice and a little single serve bottle of Prosecco. Prices were average for the area.
I'm here on business and I ordered via Uber Eats. I got the Floridian French Toast, turkey sausage links and scrambled eggs w/cheese. I probably won't do that again. The food arrived very cold and inedible. The brioche bread was very thick and the fruit on top was delicious. While I believe this establishment has excellent quality food, it's probably better to dine in as opposed to delivery.
Overall, it was pretty good experience. I got the traditional breakfast and substituted the toast for gluten-free toast and substituted the potatoes for grits and sausage links The sausage was fantastic. Ended up getting a second order. We also got the million dollar bacon that was really good as well. My kid got the French toast and farmers hash. They really enjoyed the French toast; fluffy, big and flavorful slices with warm syrup. Unfortunately the hash wasn't that great as according to my kid because some of the hash brown pieces were cooked a little bit too hard or overcooked--little bit burnt. But they did enjoy the food overall. the waitress was really amazing, very attentive and the staff overall were really nice and accommodating. Ample comfort seating and not too loud to hold a conversation. For drinks, I got the sangria that was super tasty and light. My kid got tea, they got a selection. Would definitely come again. Solid brunch place.

The menu has a wonderful balance of classic breakfast staples and creative options. They even have Mimosas and a few other specialty adult beverages in o chose from. My server- Jordan- was knowledgeable, offering recommendations that feel personal, not scripted. He listened attentively, and my special request--to substitute the regular bacon with their famous Million Dollar bacon--was met with a positive attitude and reassurance that it's no problem. When the food arrived, it was aesthetically pleasing and hot. The Million Dollar bacon (one of the things that keeps me recommending this chain of restaurants in multiple states) is the perfect blend of sweet and savory. The cheese grits- I have to admit that I never order grits from restaurants because I'm a southern girl and most don't get them to my liking - where perfectly textured and flavored. Everything is cooked to perfection, showing care in the kitchen. Throughout the meal, Jordan checked in at just the right moments, refilling drinks and ensuring everything was to my satisfaction. The vibe of the place is relaxed but lively, with a soft background of chatter, music and the occasional sound of clinking coffee cups. The experience wraps up smoothly with the both the hostess and my server- Jordan- promptly offering the check, thanking me warmly, and wishing me a great rest of my day. You can scan the QR code with your mobile phone on the bill and pay right from your seat or pay at the front desk. There was a little wait when we arrived but it wasn't bad. The hostess was nice which was appreciated. Our server...not so much. Not that she was mean, but she wasn't very attentive and I had to ask multiple times for water. The ambiance was nice and chill, a little loud but nothing out of the ordinary. This was my first time at this location but I have been to others. Now...here's what you came for - the food. We had coffee too and that was just okay. Traditional w/ham: 8/10 this was good and the food was enjoyed. The eggs were like warm and not cooked as asked. The piece of bread was small but other than that, overall it was enjoyed. Farmhouse hash: 6/10 Food was lukewarm, potatoes were still a little hard and it lacked flavor overall. I did like that they offered strawberry jam for the toast.
I've been to this breakfast establishment several times, and it seems that something always happens to make the experience unpleasant. For example, the last time i came, my coffee carafe and cup were both drenched in Axe body lotion. So I had to ask for a replacement before they explained why that happened. Fortunately, this time was finally a good one. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. Service was pleasant, but a little on the slower side, and my coffee was pleasantly unaltered. I can't remember the name on the menu, but it comes with 2 eggs, a waffle or pancake, and a meat item. I have always chosen the chicken sausage and absolutely love it. However, the egg portion seemed a bit less than 2 on this occasion. I will compliment the waffle, however. It was light with crispy edges, perfect for the butter and syrup. I also always get the million dollar bacon, as it just meets a certain craving. The flavor of salty and sweet was very good, but a little too drenched in syrup. Also, it seems that the bacon was a lot thinner this time around. Give this place a try and find your favorite items. It's not my favorite breakfast, but a decent go-to when things go well.
Great food at an economical price. All the food was very tasty with the potatoes being exceptional. Coffee provided in pot for meal which is most convenient. Service was fast and efficient. Restaurant is very spacious, well lit, and clean. Give it try, you will not be disappointed. Free parking, location is at the end of the strip mall.
The food was great. It would have been nice if they had a vegan option for meat but I was able to substitute fruit instead. Short wait time and the staff were very friendly and attentive. If I'm in the area I would definitely go back again.

I was not sure of what to expect dining here at First Watch. I came here on a Sunday and the line was nearly out the door. But the service and time waiting to be seated was awesome. I was seated within 5 minutes at a nice corner booth. My server Breanna was great. She made sure that my food order and drink was correctly. She was friendly and very attentive. I ordered the purple Haze Lemonade. It was so good and refreshing. The prices are reasonable. I ordered the traditional breakfast just to be on the safe side of things. My eggs were perfect cooked and the potatoes were seasoned as well. My sausage was not fully cooked all the way. So, I decide to substitute for a side of bacon. Spacious dining area, very clean inside and the service was great. read more

First time at First Watch and had a great breakfast experience. The place was pretty busy so I recommend getting reservations or getting in the waitlist. We were seated fairly quick. Our server was super nice and made good recommendations . We started with the fresh juices, morning Meditation and purple haze. Both were so refreshing and tasted amazing. We then ordered the smoked salmon and roasted vegetable frittata and the A.M super foods bowl. The frittata was one of the best I have had, it was delicious. The superfood bowl was also a 10/10. Everything was freshly prepared and tasted really good . We then got the gingerbread spice donuts. This is a must try. I could keep eating these all day long. First time in all the food to taste good and fresh, although a little busy food came out surprisingly fast, bright, well lit dining area, fill your coffee and leave the pot which is great so you do not have to wait on warm-ups. read more

My husband and I were looking for a easy breakfast place near our hotel. First Watch was across the street and we've been to others in Indiana so it was a pretty easy decision. It's in a strip mall so pretty easy to find a parking spot. At 9:00 am there was no wait and we were sat right away but by 10 the lobby was full amd seemed like a 20 minute wait. The server brought me a whole coffee pitcher and water pitcher which was greatly appreciated. She also kept my husband's drink filled. There were so many choices from the menu and they also had a seasonal menu. I ordered the seasonal fall hash skillet. It was delicious!! All the flavors really balanced each other out. My husband ordered off the main menu and really enjoyed it. (I don't remember what he ordered but he ate it real quick)! A good go to brunch place. Food: we got the Blackberry Lemon Cream French Toast and the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. The Blackberry Lemon Cream French Toast was delicious and full of flavor. The French toast was crispy yet moist. The tartness of the blackberry jam paired nicely with the sour, sweet lemon cream. The Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict was good but not that memorable. The ciabatta was not toasted well enough and there was only one piece of smoked salmon for each egg. The salad was not tossed with enough sauce so it was just a pile of leaves. I absolutely love a GOOD classic breakfast place. Coming from California, this place reminds me of Broken Yolk - with its good food and good prices. There are a lot of menu options to choose from, and they even have a fun seasonal menu. They also have health conscious menu options! If you're a coffee drinker, you'll love this place because they give you an entire jug of coffee at your table! The service was fast and friendly. Really cannot find anything to complain about! The decor and ambience were amazing but the food was very mediocre. It was a little over an hour wait for Sunday brunch which wasn't bad. The interior felt super homey and rustic, which I loved but the food lacked flavor and seasoning. I got the smoked salmon eggs Benedict- delicious sauce but could use some salt and paprika. Breakfast potatoes were pretty bland and the iced coffee is from a pint and not homemade. Seems like a lot of food here is perfect for Instagram but not the most satisfying. This restaurant has tons of 5-star reviews so I was a bit disappointed when it didn't live up to the hype . read more

Today, we decided to try First Watch in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. Let me tell you, this place is delicious! They offer a fresh change from run of the mill brunch places. Different mixes of ingredients to old classics. There was about 5 people in front of us and we had to wait at most 10 minutes! The dining room is trendy and very clean. It is slightly noisy. We went with the smoked applewood maple/chives bacon strips. These are absolutely phenomenal!!! Crisp but not hard... and burst with maple flavor but not overwhelming. For entrees, I got the crab Benedict. It was seasoned with Ole Bay and tasted very fresh! The crab was not fishy either. The eggs were perfectly done. My better half got the tower egg sandwich. It has all fresh ingredients and the avocado was delicious!! The potatoes are baked and chopped with delicious seasoning. Overall, the place is slightly pricey (cost us $50), but it's in line to be reasonable with the area. The service and food were excellent. Check them out if you are in the area! read more

Happy Sunday Brunch! I met my girlfriend here for a boozy brunch to catch up and we were not disappointed! We tried a couple of their fresh cocktails and both had refreshing tastes and came in these cute bottles. Our brunch with the market skillet hash was also delicious and filling. We had a nice balance of the skillet, with a small cup of fruit and a couple of bread slices. Our server was pleasant and responsive, and humored us with our "this or that" questions off the menu and gave us some good recommendations. The only challenge was how busy the place got. We arrived right at 11.30 and had 10-15 minute wait (which wasn't bad). Pro tip - check in online to see if they have a wait but also walk up to the counter and confirm that you arrived. The hostess didn't confirm my phone number when I arrived at the counter and so I didn't realize it was incorrect online, and I didn't get a text message when our table was ready. When I asked again 30 minutes later, she was able to bump us up and we were seated within the next 10 minutes despite the miscommunication. Overall, the food was worth the wait and I can't wait to go back again! read more

Wow wow what a great brunch place! The servers were super nice, food tasty, great menu to pick from. They have a virtual queue that you can get in - highly recommend doing that, though it's definitely worth checking in with the hostess cause our wait time said 1-2 hrs and we ended up only waiting 50ish. Most of the table got the seasonal short rib omelette, which was great. Our party of 5 also got the pick 2 combo, the chorizo omelette, and the millionaire bacon. All delish. Bacon had a very nice balance of sweet and savory. The bloody mary was also really well balanced - I wish I had gotten that instead of the mimosa, which was still good but the bloody mary was that good. My parents and I have made two consecutive Sunday visits to First Watch and I am happy to report this might be our new favorite restaurant. I really wish this had been around in the '80s when we actually lived in Oak Brook, but it's nice to see so many options now around 22nd and Midwest Rd. I don't think there is anything on this menu that doesn't come out to the table looking like a work of art. The portions are perfect: not a crazy amount of food ... just right. The fruit juices are beautiful to see and even people who dislike kale will like the kale tonic :) Our favorite dishes so far are the chia superfood bowl (though the toast with almond butter requires lots of water to digest), both frittatas, the pancakes, and the egg white power wrap. I have only been disappointed one time, and that was for your basic French toast. Other than that, your breakfasts are of quality and freshness. It's worth the price, too. Bacon is cooked just as I asked, and eggs cooked to the actual medium! I like that they bring out a tea selection and plenty of hot water. read more

Picked up To-go order from First Watch yesterday and was pleasantly surprised! How did I not know about this restaurant? I ordered several items to give a Fair & Honest review: New Seasonal Items: Lone star Brisket Hash Bacon Cheddar Cornbread Regular menu item: The Works Omelet Honey crunch latte The Awesome! - Works Omelet where the 3 meats were the star. The Egg portion was thin and consistent and wrapped the meat perfectly. The Artisan whole wheat bread is delicious and the potatoes are best thing I've had in a long time The OK - Lone Star Brisket Hash. I opted for over hard egg which was cooked to perfection however the pulled brisket was sparse and mostly fat with an ok flavor. The star was the House Pickled peppers which made the dish. I skipped the tortillas because there wasn't enough meat. Overall not bad Bacon cheddar cornbread - phenomenal! This dish alone was worth the headache of finding parking and dodging pretentious customers in the shopping area. Back again. This time around I ordered the Pork Green Chili Hash. Mind you, I'm hesitant to order anything with green chili because it tends to be a bit sour and overpower any dish. This was a delicious dish! Potato hash on bottom, a layer of shredded pork and topped with 2 eggs any way you like them. It's served with tortillas. The pork was not too little, not too much. It was just the right serving. I was pleasantly surprised with this dish. Make sure you visit so that you don't miss out on it. First Watch does a great job at rotating seasonal dishes. I also want to mention our server Marissa. She was very attentive to us. She was very timely in brining us our drinks, ketchup, water. She checked in on us quite often so that was much appreciated. Not bad during weekdays or non-holiday weekends. I avoid the plaza in general during Thanksgiving and Christmas
