Went for breakfast this morning for the first time at this location. The first thing my wife and I noticed was how unwelcoming the hostess was, no good morning, no smile, no greeting at all. She just assume there was 2 of us, grabbed 2 menus, and began walking. A greeting of some sort would have been nice though. Our waitress thankfully was pleasant and attentive. The menu had a decent selection of eggs and griddle choices, and coffee was served in thermal carafes reminiscent of IHOP (which I prefer over First Watch). The dining room was large and spacious with a nice loft like feel though the hard wooden chair surfaces weren't all that comfortable. The wide open room while looking nice, did result in a louder noise level that we prefer though appealing to the eye. Our breakfasts were good, not great. The highlights of our meals were the toast which was thick, crispy, buttered, and served with a tasty preserve compote. The Hash browns were cooked to perfection with a mix of crispy and soft potato cubes griddle cooked with a nice balance of onions mixed in. Breakfast for 2 with only one coffee came to $34 before tip which seemed a bit pricey for what we got. Overall, decent but not great, especially with the non welcoming hostess. Prefer IHOP and Reveille Cafe far above this First Watch Sandy Plains location.

Love first watch. Food is delicious and lots of options and cooked well, always a long wait but worth it, waitress was on par and super friendly everyone raved about her. Location was easy to find and clean. I wish it was bigger to accommodate faster but that is just a wish.

Great brunch! I was hesitant to try after a poor experience at another First Watch location, but this one is great! Our server was very kind and quick. The highlights were the Iced Coffee and the Million Dollar Bacon! Literally to die for. The Breakfast Sandwich was good, but i'd probably try something else next time, because it's very hard to eat. The potatoes were a bit chewy but good. Definitely order them well done.

I finally had the opportunity to try First Watch and it was good. My group showed up at a really busy time but lucked out and were seated immediately as there was 1 table open. Service was a bit slower but given that it was a full house, we just enjoyed our visit and perused the menu. I started with the morning meditation juice which is a blend of orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar and beet. It was colorful, slightly sweet and slightly healthy. I then ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. It came out with 2 large, fluffy pancakes and a nice dollop of lemon curd and fresh cut strawberries on top. The lemon flavor was sweet and a little tart. I'm looking forward to coming back again to try the avocado toast which I've heard is delicious.

Love this place! I've been here on several occasions prior to reviewing. This is my favorite location because of the service. We came in on a snowy Sunday and there wasn't a crowd!! You know us southerners will stay in the house real quick when there's snow in sight! Lol. But glad we got to take advantage of it. I typically get the AM Superfood Bowl. Packed with flavors of greatness! Chia seed pudding, bananas, raspberries and strawberries, mixed berry compote, housemade granola with almonds. Served within whole grain artisan toast with almond butter and sea salt. The toast is sooo good! I asked for it without salt because they aren't consistent with the smooth that they add. If it's just a sprinkle then it's the perfect combination but there have been times when it was way too much. I'd probably get it in the side moving forward.

We were seated for about 8 minutes and no one acknowledged us. We left and went across the street to Reveille cafe. My Bride, seated across from me, saw 3 servers chatting with the host. No one even looked our way as we walked out. My Bride was wanting to try the pumpkin doughnuts.

We came on a Tuesday afternoon so there was a lot of available seating. The interior was nice and spacious. We got the steak and bacon burrito, an omelette, tomato basil soup, and morning meditation. The steak and bacon burrito had nice flavoring overall but only had a few bacon and steak pieces. It was mostly potatoes inside. The side of potatoes we got were pretty salty. And unfortunately tomato basil soup was a little too sour for our liking. We enjoyed the morning meditation and really wanted to try the Purple Haze but didn't have room for more drinks since we also got a cup of coffee.

This was our first time here. Everything was great from the "joining the waitlist," checking in, getting our food, and checking out. Everything was great. I had the carnitas burrito and my girlfriend had the trifecta. The food was fresh and really tasMary Grace was a fabulous server as well. Can't wait to come back!

There's a reason why they are busy. Foods good here!

I've always enjoyed dining here. However, I've noticed when this place is busy the food comes out lukewarm. I'm not sure if it's a staffing issue or what but it's always lukewarm when they are busy. I know the food is fresh, but I just wish it was hot when they bring it out. I do like that they have interesting cocktails for brunch, but they're a bit pricey...like cocktail club pricey. Coffee is good though.

I swung by Season on a Thursday late morning - trying to beat the weekend warriors - and let me tell you, the ancestors were smiling on me because I got sat immediately. The space is that perfect small-to-medium sweet spot. It's cozy but doesn't feel like you're sitting in the next person's lap. They've got indoor and outdoor seating, and while I could see a line forming fast on a Saturday, the flow was smooth. It's got that "if you know, you know" energy that I appreciate. I started with a freshly squeezed OJ. Simple, right? Wrong. This wasn't that watered-down carton stuff; it was crisp, vibrant, and felt like a hug for my immune system. For the main event, I went with the Tamale Huevos Rancheros. These were two handmade chicken tamales topped with eggs - I requested mine fried hard, because runny yolks are a bridge too far for me - along with house-made salsa, crema, avocado, and bacon. The flavor profile was elite. The tamales were authentic and seasoned to perfection, with a soulfulness that reminded me why I love a well-executed fusion dish. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! I couldn't just stop there, so I added a Maduro buttermilk pancake and the cheddar grits to the order. Let's talk about these grits for a second. These are hands down some of the best I've ever had. No exaggeration. They were creamy, sharp, and seasoned like the chef actually likes the people they're cooking for. Even the pancake was a revelation - it was very unique and stood out from the standard "flat and sugary" situation you get at most spots. If you're looking for a spot that actually delivers on the hype without the pretentious atmosphere, this is it. It's the kind of meal that makes you want to go home and take a nap, but also call your parents and tell them you're eating well. I'll be back, just please don't take my seat when I do.

However, once I realized you could waitlist online, it was a game changer. We got: Biscuit with fried chicken smothered in gravy: The seasoning on the fried chicken is great, and the chicken itself is juicy and perfect. Pair that with their exceptional gravy and a hearty mouthful of biscuit and it's a done deal. It's a HUGE portion, so come hungry or share. Classic breakfast (forgot what it's called but eggs, protein, biscuit, grits): I got my eggs scrambled and these were probably the best scrambled eggs I've ever had outside of my own home. It was just the way I liked them--definitely scrambled, but juicy, flavorful, and soft. The grits were a crowd favorite on our table--super rich and creamy. Smoked ham was salty (as most smoked ham are) but incredible soft and nice to eat. I thought my favorite would be the biscuit (I'm a HUGE biscuit girl) but it actually wasn't as buttery as I thought. It wasn't bad, but I think I'll take the grits over it any day. I can't believe how delicious this place was. All the plates coming out looked amazing (the sweet breakfast items, wow!) and we are definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu. I'd say this is a 4.5 due to the biscuit falling a little flat (not literally because that thing was fluffy!) BUT service was also great so it's bumping up to a 5. We're so happy to find a go-to brunch spot in this area--definitely give it a try!

The pancakes themselves were light and fluffy and not weighted down like so many other places. The chicken, maple syrup and sliced/sauted jalapeño slices was great if you crave mostly savory with a little sweet. A good portion of fried/breaded chicken that was seasoned well. The green matcha was more decadent with a layer of whipped cream in between the cakes and shavings of white chocolate to garnish with. The mango and kiwi pancake is nice if you want a lighter fruity version and the two pair quite well. Underneath is a mango purée perfect to sop up with your pancake fork in hand! The Nutella and banana came with the chocolate separate that you could drizzle on top. So much fun! I don't think you can go wrong with the food choices here. We started the day a little late so we were looking for a brunch place. I came across Fluffy Fluffy on Yelp and since they serve Japanese-inspired pancakes, we decided to give it a try. It was Mother's Day so the restaurant was completely full when we arrived. We took a while deciding what to order and luckily a table opened up at just the right time. We ordered both a savory and a sweet dish, the Eggs Benedict with Salmon and the Mini Soufflé Pancakes. One thing to note. Their website mentions that the combo set is available all day but this particular location doesn't offer it. We really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict. You can choose either a croffle or sweet toast and we went with the sweet toast which was delicious. I also loved the dressing they used on the salad. (I was disappointed to later find out that they actually sell the dressing!) The soufflé pancakes, however, were a bit of a mixed experience for us. We chose the mini version so we could try four different flavors: blueberry cheese, tiramisu, matcha tiramisu, and strawberry cream. In the end, we were actually glad we ordered the minis instead of a full-size pancake with just one flavor. Out of the four, the blueberry cheese was our favorite. The tiramisu flavors didn't really taste much like tiramisu to us and the strawberry cream topping was fairly simple as well. The pancakes themselves were also a little drier than we expected. I also ordered a matcha latte but unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite. It tasted a bit watery and didn't have a good matcha flavor. Overall, it ended up being a hit-or-miss experience for us but we still thought it was a fun and unique concept to try.

The children's options are a great value if you have a little one. My only concern is that when we went in on our first go, I know that I ordered French toast for my child. When the waitress brought out our food, my child had pancakes. When I brought the error to her attention, she seemed rather quick to say I was wrong about this. I let it slide because we're not going to have a giant argument in a restaurant with wait staff over a small infraction like this. I get the feeling that our waitress may have an issue with accountability and would've continued to argue had I not given her an easy way out and said "It's ok, we will settle for this. Don't worry about it." She responded by offering to bring out some French toast anyway, which was kind, but flat out telling your customers that they're wrong is maybe not the best way to go about this to have a healthy, trusting relationship. My husband even confirmed that I had ordered what I said I ordered afterward. Maybe some staff training regarding approaching situations like this would be appreciated, such as having wait staff confirm orders once the entire table has started their orders prior to transferring orders to the kitchen would help eliminate this issue. Please know that we did return the next day because the food was great and they got our order correct the next morning. Yay!
