The SO and I stumbled in here for Saturday morning brunch, best stumbling every! The restaurant has a soft, welcoming vibe. The decor is comfortable,cozy, very pastoral with old metal tractor seats, reclaimed wood, and navy neutrals. The two things you must do: order one of their two juiced beverages( I ordered the green apple kale, so crisp and the perfect combo for a fresh, natural wake up call) and the coconut milk chia seed pudding! It is as delectable as it sounds! It was decadent for breakfast, with fresh fruit and granola, but actually healthy for you! My SO ordered a breakfast sandwich and some side bacon, a little too syrupy for me( I prefer my bacon savory over sweet). They did nothing to help the prices during Covid, which is always disappointing to me with every restaurant, but we have a special liking for the fresh juices. However, whenever I order one to pick up, I get charged full price and less drink because I order half ice because of my dental issue with my teeth. I do not understand anyone ever giving you a smaller drink! They gave me smaller cups with a lot of ice, and when I wanted a drink carrier, they put it in the drink carrier and it's too big for these cups and they spilled. Don't be turned off by the odd name or that it's not "The Egg & I" - which was purchased by First Watch. The food is better. The coffee is better, so we'll forgive the name. There are still some kinks to be worked out - this is their second weekend open and my second weekend eating here. It's a worthy addition to the breakfast choices in the area. Otherwise you may have to wait. I am still on the avocado toast bandwagon and it did not disappoint. Crunchy toast and creamy lemony avocado with perfect eggs. My husband had the biscuits and gravy which he loved. We shared a multigrain pancake with their warm maple syrup and it was soft and tender and yummy! My husband had to try the million dollar bacon. Our first time eating at First Watch. We had breakfast. It was ok, nothing special. My companion had the biscuits and gravy, it was cold so we had to send it back. Even hot it was mediocre at best. We also had the French Toast and Carbonara Benedict. They were both fine. We might go back, but surely not a spot we would go to on a regular basis. After my review the company responded offering my gift certificate. I respectively declined, but suggested that a donation to the American Cancer Society for the same amount. They actually did that. Maybe I just ordered wrong, but I got the breakfast chimichanga and it wasn't that great.. It was mostly onions and chilies and hardly any meat.
