We've been going to this restaurant since it was "The Egg and I". The chain was bought by First Watch and I was happy to see the same management and service teams. The new decor is great, sort of a country modern, and the food is top notch. I called First Watch before calling DoorDash so that I could give special instructions before calling in my order (First Watch doesn't allow customers to give special instructions on DoorDash). I informed First Watch that I would be ordering the smashed avocado with seasoned potatoes and eggs and 4 drinks. My instructions were to put ice in only one of the drinks and the other 3 no ice (I would be drinking them one a day and didn't want them watered down). I then called DoorDash and made my order. I called First Watch and confirmed they received my order. I was disappointed that they had already made my order before DoorDash even assigned a delivery driver. My order arrived cold and, the three drinks without ice were in very small cups and the drink with ice was in the normal size cup. We got biscuits and gravy that taste like it came straight out of a can and sat under a heat lamp for an hour. No fresh tossed greens with house-made dressing anymore. My potatoes tasted precut, frozen and reheated in a microwave. Service was slow and inattentive. My turkey sausage was rubbery, dry and tasted like chemicals, if that makes sense. We didn't even eat most of it and the server couldn't have cared less. Sadly, we were frequent patrons but will absolutely not be returning. Yeah...no. The food was decently priced although I found it odd that breakfast didn't come with eggs. My mom and uncle opted for a sandwich and salad while the kids selected the chocolate chip pancake, a half Belgian waffle and the traditional pancake kids meals all which came with their choice of sausage or bacon and I ordered the Mexican Elote breakfast. The food was ok although I had to send my first plate back because the breafast potatoes were overcooked and burnt (the waitress was really polite and promptly took care of my complaint). Eggs are fresh, their toast is thick, crunchy, and nutty, and their million dollar bacon was just....phenomenal. Go check them out!! Coffee and bread were so good we bought a loaf and bag of coffee. called to make reservations, was told 20 minutes. Got to restaurant was told that my party of 9 would be behind a party of 10 and 15. We waited to be seated about 20 - 30 minutes later. As we sat down and started looking at the menu we were told we had to move to another table set up for 8. I then went to a waiter for another chair he brought it over at this point they had not cleaned the table. I went to the lady that was seating everyone and asked why we were moved from a table for 9 to a table for 8. She said it was a misunderstanding and they got us a chair and the setup was the same also the table was dirty, she said they were cleaning it. I just walked away service didn't get any better. Waitress had attitude, as far as the other table they sat a group of 6 there. Potatoes were good along with the Belgian waffle we got. The syrup is warm so the waffle didn't get cold as fast. The preserves that come with it, be careful, it's a mixed berry preserve and we didn't know it and the person I was with is allergic to blueberries. Luckily she tasted it on the tip of her fork. I treated my parents to breakfast at First Watch in Fall Creek yesterday. They loved it! We usually order take out but dined in this time. It was bit of a wait but worth it. My mom was especially happy to see the Crab Cake Benedict back on the menu. Needless to say, the food was delicious and the customer service was good. At check out there was an issue with our gift card and Quintin patiently, swiftly and professional resolved our issue. I was amazed at his patience and great customer service in the presence of customers waiting to pay. I didn't get her name but she was working with Quintin to resolve our issue. The food is NOT worth an over inflated 45-60 minutes wait. They make in person reservations wait outside and prioritize the online reservations. It seems the people standing outside in the element would not be bumped for the people checking in from the comfort of their home. We were told there were 6 people ahead of us at check in. After watching several people enter the building and be sat, we checked the status of our reservation and was told 50 minutes that 6 people where still ahead of us.
